Born August 29, 1943 in Derbyshire, England a son of Frank and Hilda (née HOWE) CAVE, Dick CAVE passed away peacefully, at La Farm in Duncan, Ontario with family at his side on Sunday, February 26, 2006 at the age of 62. He is survived by his much loved wife and partner of 18 years, Sally LEPPARD. Loving father of Emma (and Brian,) Steve (and Kerry,) Kate (and Kris,) Liz NIELD (nee McHARDY, and Jim,) Louise (and Chris,) Jamie McHARDY, and sadly missed by his beloved granddaughter, Sarah Grace. Dear brother of Sue and her husband Dave WHITEHEAD of Cornwall, England. Also remembered as a dear son-in-law by John and Jocey LEPPARD, and as a special brother-in-law and uncle by their families. Dick emigrated from Derby, England as a Civil Engineer in 1969. He worked with Kilbourn Engineering until 1984 when he founded the Ontario-based R. Cave and Associates Engineering Inc. There he nurtured a tradition of creative, pragmatic and holistic engineering solutions to Canada's waste management and ecological problems. He finished his career with Trow Consulting in Brampton. A memorial funeral service in remembrance of Dick will be conducted at Bethany Church of the Nazarene, Trowbridge Street West in Meaford, on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. A private family disposition of Dick's cremated remains will be conducted at a later date. Peacefully, at La Farm in Duncan, Ontario and surrounded by his loving family and Friends, both at home and abroad, both with us and in heaven, our amazing husband, dad, guardian angel, grand-dad, uncle, cherished friend and valued colleague, passed graciously into a space filled with beauty, light, energy and peace for safekeeping, until we are all reunited. He leaves his adoring wife, Sally LEPPARD, partner of 18 years. By his side, throughout his 4 year battle with cancer, and for always, are his treasured and adored children - Emma (and Brian), Steve (and Kerry), Kate (and Kris,) Liz NIELD (née McHARDY, and Jim,) Louise (and Chris,) Jamie McHARDY, and his precious and beloved granddaughter, Sarah Grace. His sister Sue and husband Dave WHITEHEAD came from Cornwall, England to be by his side. Throughout his last few weeks, you have helped us enormously with snow plowing, dishwashing, great food and wine, books, fine company, paintings, fun and laughter, and gifts of love and kindness too numerous to mention. Dick had a career full of achievements and 'firsts'. After emigrating from Derby, England as a Civil Engineer in 1969, he worked with Kilbourn Engineering until 1984 when he founded the Ontario-based R. Cave and Associates Engineering Inc. There he nurtured a tradition of creative, pragmatic and holistic engineering solutions to Canada's waste management and ecological problems. He finished his career with Trow Consulting in Brampton. Our family's grateful thanks go to those who cared for Dick in his last stage of life - the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, the Owen Sound Community Care Access Centre home care team and nurses Lorraine, Royanne, Sue and Laurie, and "spa lady" Sharon, Dr. and Mrs. Tony ROWLINSON, Joyce STRAITON, Dr. Jennifer KNOX and Bettina of Princess Margaret Hospital, and Dr. Marwan FAKIH of Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Your safety net was invaluable and gave us enormous hope over the last year and kindness and caring in the last few weeks. It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected death of Steen Hannibal NIELSEN on Friday, February 24, 2006 at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. He was born October 10, 1950, in Copenhagen, Denmark and was a proud Dane throughout his life. He is predeceased by his parents Inge and Bent NIELSEN. He was the best friend, soul-mate and husband of Arlene (PARK) NIELSEN. Together they have created many happy memories that she will cherish forever. He was the proud and devoted father of Mindi and Bibi NIELSEN and Shane, Cole and Jess TARRY. His first grand_son is due to arrive at the end of April. He will be missed by his sister Helle and James FISHER and their children Paul, Kim, Heidi and Chad of Burlington and his brother Jan and Margrete and their son Justin. Steen was there to lend a hand or support whenever it was needed! To the Park family he was affectionately known as "The Web Master" as he skillfully maintained the web site for the Park Family Football Pool. He will be missed by Denise STINSON, Lindsay and Brandon BOYKO and Haley STINSON, Gord and Diane PARK, Alicia, Jessica and Jared and John and Nancy PARK, Ashley and Jon. Steen has touched many lives throughout his teaching career. He was currently teaching at Southwold Public School. He will be remembered for his gentle, kind and caring spirit, his extraordinary artistic talents, his ability to live life to the fullest and his love of and loyalty to his family. Police theorize Swiss man may have found his girlfriend with German

Three European tourists found stabbed to death early Monday at an expensive downtown Toronto hotel were slain in a double murder-suicide, police confirmed yesterday, and likely perished in a deadly love triangle.
Killed were Swiss nationals Nadja WYRSCH, 24, and Andre ASCHWANDEN, 35, along with German-born Thomas KAUFMANN, 35, who also lived in Switzerland.
Police believe Mr. ASCHWANDEN killed Ms. WYRSCH, his girlfriend, and Mr. KAUFMANN and then turned his knife on himself.
Ms. WYRSCH was a biologist specializing in cytology, the study of cells, while Mr. ASCHWANDEN is believed to have been a salesman for a fuel-injection company. Both were residents of Lucerne, in central Switzerland, where German is the predominant language.
Ms. WYRSCH would have turned 25 yesterday.
Their friend, Mr. KAUFMANN, lived near Bern, the Swiss capital, where he worked at the University of Bern's veterinary clinic.
Together, the three flew to Toronto from Zurich on Sunday afternoon and were part of a tour group of about 24 people -- mostly Germans but also including some Swiss and French -- that was to tour Canada for three weeks, visiting several large cities.
Ms. WYRSCH and Mr. ASCHWANDEN knew Mr. KAUFMANN, police believe, which would explain why they agreed to share a room on the 19th floor of the Delta Chelsea on downtown Gerrard Street, Canada's largest hotel.
"We believe they all knew each other reasonably well," said Detective Dan NIELSEN of the Toronto homicide squad.
As well, each of them appeared to have a hearing disability.
"The information we have is that at least two of them were hearing impaired, and possibly all three," Det. NIELSEN said. "We're trying to verify that."
Ms. WYRSCH, who was on the board of LKH Switzerland, an association for the deaf, was killed by stab wounds to the chest and a slash to the neck, inflicted by a multibladed, Swiss army-type knife that was found in the blood-soaked hotel room.
The same weapon was used to kill Mr. KAUFMANN and Mr. ASCHWANDEN, both of whom died from stab wounds to the chest.
With no signs of forced entry to the room and no evidence of robbery, the working theory of investigators is that the violence stemmed from anger or jealousy.
Police believe Mr. ASCHWANDEN may have unexpectedly discovered his girlfriend and Mr. KAUFMANN in the room together and that he flew into a murderous rage.
Other guests on the 19th floor reported hearing loud arguing and the sound of running.
A hotel security guard making his rounds shortly before 4: 30 a.m. discovered Mr. KAUFMANN on the floor of the corridor near one of the elevators, reportedly clad only in a pair of boxer shorts, after apparently fleeing the murder scene. He was taken to nearby Saint Michael's Hospital, where he died shortly afterward.
A trail of blood led down the hallway to room 1908, where Ms. WYRSCH's body was found on the floor. That of Mr. ASCHWANDEN was lying on one of the beds. Police described the scene as horrific.
No other suspects are being sought and Det. NIELSEN said he expects the investigation to wrap up soon.
"We're still processing the [crime] scene and a few more witnesses, but we're getting pretty close."
The three visitors were on a tour organized through the company Jonview Canada, owned and operated by Transat A.T. Inc. of Montreal.
The double murder pushed Toronto's homicide total so far this year to 46.
A Swiss relative of Ms. WYRSCH, a farmer who said he had known her since childhood and described her as "a good person," said she knew several members of the tour group.
"She worked hard, she deserved the holiday. She didn't go on holiday often…. It was a normal group tour."

Died peacefully at home on Sunday, November 5th, 2006 surrounded by the love of family and Friends. Denis is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine (DARMODY) MARSH; his daughter, Alexandra Marsh SCHOENBORN who was the joy of his life; his mother, Kathleen MARSH of Pointe Claire, Quebec and his sisters, Susan MARSH, Elizabeth ZUNG of Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, and Donna MARSH of Pointe Claire, Quebec. Predeceased by his previous wife Adriana VAN NIEUWENHUYZEN and his father the late Doctor Donald Bailey MARSH. Beloved wife of the late Robert BRUNSWICK (2004.) Dear mother of Margaret WITHERS of Michigan, Janet BRUNSWICK of London. Grandmother to Michael WITHERS, Mark WITHERS, Jason and Lena MINERS and Nicholas MINERS. Great-grandmother to Alexander "Xander." Predeceased by son-in-law Ronald WITHERS and brother Thomas GAGAN. Resting at the M. Box and son Funeral Home, 183 Broad Street, Parkhill where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 28th at 11: 00 a.m. Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday. Pastor Paul KNAUER will officiate. Interment in Parkhill Cemetery. Mrs. BRUNSWICK taught elementary school in the Parkhill area for 36 years. Born in Bristol, England in 1913, Joyce finally found her wings and went to join her beloved Alf on July 16, 2006 after a lengthy illness which she fought with customary spirit and hope at Leisureworld Caregiving Centre in Brantford. Joyce leaves behind her two daughters, Gillian BIRSE and her husband David of Mississauga and Elizabeth SMELLIE and her husband William of Picton, grandchildren Elizabeth BERRY and her husband Vincent, Andrew BIRSE and his partner Tara BURK/BURKE, George SMELLIE and his partner Jamie BURTON, Robert SMELLIE and his partner Slava NIEWADA, and great-grandchildren Joseph, Sam and Rosalie BERRY and Dorothy Abry ASHFORD- SMITH. Also survived by family in England and Wales. Joyce was a longtime member of St. Andrew's United Church, the Dufferin Lawn Bowling Club and the Brant Curling Club. The family expresses thanks for all the loving care for our dear Mum at Charlotte Villa and Leisureworld. Special thanks to her closest Friends who loved her and continued to visit until the end. Passed away peacefully after a long illness in the Palliative Care Unit of Saint_Joseph's Hospital, Peterborough, on Saturday, December 23, 2006 in her 81st year. Beryl, beloved wife of the late Michael. Loving mother of Christopher (wife Beverley) of Niagara on-the-Lake, Paul (wife Rita) of Oakville and Peter (wife Catherine) of Peterborough. Dear Nanny of Andrew, David and Jennifer, Michelle and Graham, and Philip and Stephen. Sister of Ethel NIEWOLSKI, June HARMSWORTH and the late Doris THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, Kathleen OLDFIELD and Harold THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON. Best friend of Mary RAWLINGS and Jean SOWERBY. She will be missed by her many Friends and relatives. Beryl retired from teaching after a career that spanned 30 years. She started teaching developmentally handicapped children at Trafalgar School and went on to teaching English and Guidance at Kenner Collegiate. A gifted teacher, "Mrs, O" will be fondly remembered by her many students whose lives she influenced. Beryl's courage and determination to change teaching helped pave the way for those who followed her. Passed away peacefully at University Hospital to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Lena NIEZEN (BOER) for 58 years. Loving father of Art (Jackie) NIEZEN, Tony NIEZEN, Linda NIEZEN, Bert (Marianne) NIEZEN, John (Jenny) NIEZEN, Alice (Francis) CHACHANA. Cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren.
