LEWIS, Vera Marie (ZIMMERMAN, née McFADDEN)
Peacefully at Ashwood Manor, on Tuesday, April 11th, 2006, Vera Marie LEWIS, in her 96th year. Predeceased by her husband, Albert Edward (1997). Dear mother of Richard John and his wife Linda ZIMMERMAN, of London. Fondly remembered by their children, Steven JAKUS of Lambeth; Mike and Lisa REMMES and their children, Kelsey and Haley, of San Clemente, California. Dear sister-in-law of Marion McFADDEN of London; and Marion McFADDEN and Eileen McFADDEN of Alliston. Also loved by her many nieces and nephews. Mrs. LEWIS was the daughter of the late Henrietta CROSBIE and Freeman E. McFADDEN. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Franklin E. McFADDEN, former Reeve of Bayfield; Edith LONDRY; Dorothy NEY Muriel McKENNA; Merwood McFADDEN; and Edison McFADDEN, all of Alliston. The family will welcome Friends and relatives at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Thursday, April 13th, 2006 from 4: 30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. at which time the funeral service will be conducted in the chapel. Interment will be in Alliston Union Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to your favourite charity would be gratefully appreciated. Resident of Perth South and former employee at Canadian National Railway shops as a machinist and Domtar as maintenance and member of Saint Paul's Anglican Church Stratford, died peacefully at Saint Marys Memorial Hospital on November 20, 2006 at the age of 78. son of the late Charles James BURFORD and the former Louisa HOSKIN. Beloved husband of Barbara who predeceased Don on December 28, 2000. Loving father of Martin and Sarah BURFORD, Granton, John BURFORD, Saint Marys and Terry BURFORD and Cherie BRITTON, Calgary. Proud grandfather of Colin, Eric, Anna, Alexander and Janelle. Dear brother of Elva and Lew AYRE and brother-in-law of Irene BURFORD, Mildred BURFORD and Bud KING. Son-in-law of Rose MARTIN, North Bay and the late Alex MARTIN. Dear brother-in-law of Alex and Shirley MARTIN, Kamloops, British Columbia and Beverly MARTIN, North Bay. Remembered by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Charles (Alice), William in infancy, Leonard (Cora), Ernest (Florence,) George, James and sisters Dorothy NEY (Gordon) and Betty KING. Family and Friends will be received at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home (519-284-2820), 47 Wellington St. South, Saint Marys, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul VOLLICK. NEYEDLY, Libby Christine " Lee"
Known to family and Friends as Nanny, passed away peacefully, at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, on Wednesday, February 1, 2006, in her 88th year. Loving wife to Bill for 69 years. Loving mother of Joyce DEMEO and husband Rod, and Rodney NEYEDLY and wife Marilyn. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Chris, Kelly, Brad, Karrey, and Corey, and great-grandchildren Michael, Brooke, Ashley, Brandon, Amanda, Mitchell, and Samantha. Friends and family will be received at the Jerrett Funeral Home - North York Chapel, 6191 Yonge Street (2 lights south of Steeles), today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Lee's life will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Saturday at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Peacefully at the Vigi-Reine Elizabeth, on June 7th, 2006, at the age of 92. Daughter of the late James NEYSMITH and Catherine BERRIGAN. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Charles LAFLECHE. Loving mother of Paul Thomas LAFLECHE (Elizabeth BELL) and John Charles LAFLECHE (Ingrid ELQUETA.) Cherished grandmother of Robin, Peter, Victoria, Andrea and baby twins Robyn and Ruth. Predeceased by her brothers Jim and Arnold and sister Kathleen. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Mildred MURPHY (Kenneth) and many relatives and Friends. Visitation at Kane and Fetterly Funeral Home, 5301 Decarie Blvd., Montreal, Québec (corner Isabelle St.) on Sunday, June 11th, 2006 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Ignatius of Loyola Church, 4455 West Broadway, Montreal, Québec, on Monday, June 12th, 2006 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated.
