DRISCOLL, John Dennis " Jack"
Peacefully following a brief illness at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Wednesday, February 15th, 2006. Jack DRISCOLL, in his 83rd year. Now reunited with his best friend and soulmate Mildred (Mid) née McADAM (who predeceased him on June 13th, 2002.) Beloved father of Ellen and her husband Doug BEAL of Blackstock, Beth McGAHEY- NEUBAURER and her husband Karl, John and his wife Julie, Jane and her husband Bob JOHNSON and Mark all of Oshawa and his late son-in-law Stuart McGAHEY. Dear brother of Dora WHITE/WHYTE of Windsor and Margaret REAUME of Richmond Hill. Lovingly remembered by his 11 grandchildren Laura, Wendy, Katie and David BEAL, Julie and Dan NEUBAUER, Jessica McGAHEY, Ryan and the late Sean DRISCOLL and Damien and Bretton JOHNSON. Dearest great-grandfather of Kadan and Alexi JOHNSON and Keegan D'ARCY. Jack served St. Gregory's Church faithfully as an organist for over 52 years. He was recognized by Pope John Paul II, receiving a Papal Award for distinguished service in February 1996, on the occasion of his 50th anniversary as an organist at St. Gregory's. Jack served as an accountant with General Motors for 41 years. Friends may call at Oshawa Funeral Service "Thornton Chapel", 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Sunday, February 19th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Church of St. Gregory The Great (194 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa) on Monday, February 20th at 10: 30 a.m. Cremation. Memorial donations to the Arthritis Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Passed away peacefully, at Rouge Valley Health System, after a gallant fight, on Thursday, April 27, 2006. Beloved husband of Pat, and dear father of Heddy and Garth. Much loved grandpa of Kyle, Nykeshia, Cheyenne, and Tristan. Step-father of Julian KING and wife Gini, Donna NEUFELD and husband Doug; step-father of Sean, Alyssa, Dillan, Zachary, Cassidy-Anne, Jaxon, and Lolarose. Survived by his brothers Hildreth (Chung) and his wife Clar and Lorden (Tipa), and sister Elaine. Will also be sadly missed by extended family and Friends. The family will receive Friends at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. East, Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Sunday, April 30 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Saint Paul's Anglican Church, 227 Bloor St. East, Toronto, on Monday, May 1 at 5 p.m. (Paid parking available at Church and Bloor Streets). Of Aylmer. Beloved wife of John MacIULIS. Loving mother of Edward MacIULIS and wife Hedi of Dundas and Floretta SKUDDER and husband Jerry of R.R.#5, Aylmer. Also survived by a daughter-in-law Erica STEINKE, a son-in-law Osamu KUNII, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Arnold STEINKE, a daughter Irene MacIULIS- KUNII, brothers Herman, Adolph, Otto and Edward ALBRECHT and a sister Adele NEUKAMM. Born in Starkai, Vilkaviskis, Lithuania on May 28, 1916 daughter of the late Friedrich and Auguste (PREUSS) ALBRECHT. Helen was an avid rose gardener and cook. She was a member of Saint_John's Lutheran Church and with her husband grew tobacco at R.R.#5, Aylmer for many years. Friends may call at the H.A. At Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 15, 2006. Helen KROL of Saint Thomas in her 80th year. Dear mother of Donald KROL and wife Mary Margaret of Port Stanley, Stephen KROL of Saint Thomas, and Michael KROL and wife Kelly of Saint Thomas. Love by her grandchildren Jonathan, Donald, Stephen, Tazia, Arek, Charity, Sara, Kasey, and Jessica. Great-grandmother of Annelise, Jon, Lauren, Braidon, Avril and Zackery. Sister of Frieda BLASZCZAK and Martha OZOLINS of Saint Thomas, Hanna LOHR of Germany and predeceased by Andy KUSACK and Maria Verdermann. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Poland on May 24, 1927 daughter of the late Gotlibe and Maria (NEUKAMM) KUSACK. Helen was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Saint Thomas. She came to Saint Thomas in 1949 from Germany and retired from United Technologies in 1990. Friends may call at the H.A. NEUMAN, Cynthia Vita (née BARRETT)
On October 1, 2006 Cynthia died of cancer. Born Cynthia Vita BARRETT in Toronto, December 25, 1921. As a young child Cynthia found a love of music and dance. As a teenager, she focused on dance; she studied with Saida Gerrard and periodically travelled to New York and studied there with Martha Graham, Doris Humphrey, Charles Weidman, Benjamin Zemach and Loius Horst. After roles in New York, including Broadway, Cynthia returned to Toronto and taught dance for various organizations and opened her own school. She also staged performances, many of them focusing on her Jewish and Canadian background. Her works included, among others, Canadiana, traditional folk music, in 1946 and Song of David, in 1949. Cynthia also worked as a choreographer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Carrying on her love of movement and dance into her senior years, Cynthia taught physical fitness to senior citizens until she was 80 years old. Cynthia is predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Henry NEUMAN. She will be missed by her son Ilan, daughter-in-law Lisabeth, and grandchildren Joshua and Hannah NEUMAN of Toronto. She will be missed by Philip NEWMAN and Ted and Jennifer NEWMAN of New York City. Family and Friends will remember Cynthia for her energy, avid love of nature, the family cottage and fierce independence. Special thanks to Cromy MAGALONA and Grace SEM for their loving care. Dear mother of Marilyn (Gerald) SCACE of Durham, Gail (Frank) NEUMANN of British Columbia, Eric of Tobermory and Vivian (Eric) VON DUNGERN of Wiarton. She will be sadly missed by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, brother John (Millie) PAYNE and sisters Estelle GREENWOOD and Shirley HACKETT. Bernice was a Leader for many years for the Girl Guides in Owen Sound. The family will receive Friends at the George Funeral Home, Wiarton on Friday, May 19th from 7: 00 to 9:00 p.m. where the service to celebrate Bernice's life will be held on Saturday, May 20th at 2: 00 p.m. with Rev. 78, died peacefully at home after an exhausting battle with cancer on Thursday, March 9, 2006. He was surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary KOZIOL (née ANDRUCH,) and his six daughters Carol KOZIOL of London, Jane ARNOTT and her husband Ken of London, Natasha KOZIOL of London, Valerie KOZIOL of Barrie, Ann Marie SIMONE and her husband Ron of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Andrea KOZIOL and her husband Thomas NEUSPIEL of Toronto. "Dedo" will be missed by grandchildren Luke, Brock, Ben, Calvin, Erika, Kurtis, Kyra, Teri, Sacha and Isabella. Also survived by niece Doris. Predeceased by parents, Gregor and Natalia, by brother Fred, and by nephew John. John was born in Porichya, Belarus (Poland) in 1927 and emigrated to Canada in 1939. He taught at Beal Secondary School, retiring in 1986. He was a gifted musician and loved the solace of nature. His presence will be missed. At John's request, there will no visitation or funeral service. A private family funeral will be held. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the Brain Tumor Foundation of Canada. Heartfelt thanks to the St. Elizabeth Health Care Community Care Access Centre Team and the St. Joseph's Palliative Care Team. He has gone home.
