In 1935, she graduated with honors from the University of Toronto with a baccalaureate degree in classics and education. She was an honorary member of the Rotary Club of Petrolia and a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary International, a member of the Margaret Stokes Chapter of Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire, the Sarnia/Lambton Retired Teachers of Ontario and Saint Paul's United Church. Above all, her passions were her family -- her husband, children, grandchildren, parents, sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews; and her dear Friends. Cremation has taken place.
