It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing
of an extraordinary human being. Survived by his loving wife
Patricia, two daughters Lisa and Myfanwy (mother Rhuanedd), five
grandchildren Dean, Jamie, Sophia, Max and Severin. Also survived
by brother John
MUDD and sister Ann
CHOWN and a large extended
family in Wales. Born in Cardiff, Wales, Bill served in the merchant
marine, did military service with the British Army in Korea,
and worked as a highly successful stage, radio and television
actor, radio and television writer and best-selling novelist
in Britain before coming to Canada in 1969 as a professor in
the Department of Drama at the University of Alberta. He retired
professor emeritus in 1998. Throughout his years in Canada he
contributed broadly to the stage, radio and television arts as
a skilled screenwriter, broadcaster, actor and exceptionally
talented dialectician. Funeral service will be held Tuesday,
September 12 at 2 p.m. at Christ Church Cathedral, 690 Burrard
Street, Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
the British Columbia Cancer Foundation or PAL Vancouver.

Resident of Pickering Village from 1950 to 1972. Retired employee
of the University of Toronto, Athletic Dept. in 1980. Ralph was
an avid Squash player and coach of inter-collegiate and intramural
teams at the University of Toronto and after retirement an instructor
in the Whitby and Oshawa areas. In his 91st year, peacefully
at Hillsdale Seniors Home, Oshawa on March 8, 2006. Predeceased
by his parents William and Isabella

Great teacher of table manners, etiquette and "doing things
nicely", Jean has left an everlasting impression on her family
and has shown us the true meaning of being a "Lady". Jean was
a life member of the Doctor David Crombie Chapter of the Imperial
Order of the Daughters of the Empire In London where she resided
for many years. Jean's family extends a special thank you to
her caregivers who made her final days comfortable. A private
family interment and committal of Jean's cremated remains will
take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Meaford. As your expression

Andrea succumbed to cancer after a brave brief fight. A born
Torontonian, graduate of Saint Michael's College, University of
Toronto, she completed her education with an M. Litt from Bristol
University.
With her first husband, Ronald William
FAWCETT, she
became the beloved mother of Natalie and Tanya. She had careers
in university public relations (where she won numerous writing
awards), real estate, as special assistant to the President of
the Ontario College of Art and Design, and as a writer (and member
of the Writers' Union of Canada). She read and travelled widely
and said herself, in her last days, that with her children and
grandchildren and her second husband, Peter
BRIGG, she had lived
a full and varied life, although all of the many whom she touched
feel it has been cut off far too short. Andrea is survived by
her mother, Mary
