Peacefully at Summit Place Lodge on Thursday evening, October 12, 2006. In her 96th year, Amelia MOTHERSELL (née LEGATE,) the beloved wife of the late “Bud” I.A. MOTHERSELL. Loving mother of Mervyn and his wife Jan, and “Birdie” Julia (Mrs. William CORE.) Loved grandmother of Shannon and her husband Bill BAARSCHERS, Tracy and her husband Yvon PERRON. Great grandmother of Leith PERRON, Alana and Dustin BAARSCHERS. Predeceased by three brothers George, William and Howard and by three sisters Florence (Mrs. Wilfred COPP,) Pearl (Mrs. Bruce MOTE) and Fernetta (Mrs. Christopher VANALSTINE.) Of R.R.#2 Drayton passed away peacefully at Grand River Hospital with her family by her side, on Wednesday January 4, 2006 in her 53rd year. Beloved wife of Robert RICHARDSON. Loving mother of William "Jake" RICHARDSON and his wife Bev of Palmerston and Debbie RICHARDSON and her financé John MOTHERSELL of Mount Forest. Grandmother of Bill, Shelby, Kiawna, Austin and Drew. Daughter of Orville and Lena ROLLINGS of Clandeboye. Daughter-in-law of Violet RICHARDSON of London and the late Jack RICHARDSON. Sister of Richard ROLLINGS and his wife Anne of Clandeboye. Sister-in-law of John and Shirley RICHARDSON of Owen Sound, Gail BURNS and her companion Carl LAVE of Ilderton, Jim and Sherrey RICHARDSON of London and Michelle and Fred NETHERTON of British Columbia. Margo will be sadly missed by many Nieces, Nephews and Friends. The family will receive Friends at Heritage Funeral Home, Drayton on Friday, January 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Reverend Jeff McCRACKEN will conduct a Funeral Service of Remembrance in the Drayton United Church on Saturday January 7th, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

SUNDSTROM, Harold Edward " Sonny or Hal," B.Arch, M.R.A.I.C. (retired)
Quietly at home, on June 16, 2006, in his 87th year, while watching the U.S. Open. Beloved husband and life partner of the late Margery Howe SUNDSTROM. Dear brother of Ruth Sundstrom CANDY. Dearest father of Robin SUNDSTROM, Laurel HIGGON, Martha LYNCH, and Penny McLAREN, and cherished father-in-law of Daniel MOTHERSILL, David HIGGON, Barry LYNCH, and Murray McLAREN. Loving grandfather of Barton and Victoria MOTHERSILL, Julia and Stuart LYNCH, and Lindsay McLAREN. Dearest "Uncle Sonny" of Pat JERRED and Susan FREEMAN. Hal was a student at Vaughan Road Collegiate, and a proud old boy of Upper Canada College. Following service in Iceland with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Sonny entered University of Toronto and was a member of the first graduating class of U of T's School of Architecture. He loved buildings and boats, drawing and debate, jazz and playing piano, golf and the cryptic crossword. He was known to all his children's Friends for sleeping in the living room and tap dancing in the kitchen, and was waiting for Carnegie Hall to call about his debut. Hal was a life member of the National Yacht Club, and a founding member of the Group of Twenty and Studio 67. Hal will be deeply missed by family and Friends. His sense of humour and love of a good pun live on in his children and grandchildren. Visitation at Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W. (2 lights west of Yonge St.), Monday, June 19, 2-4 and 7-9. MOTHERWELL, William Richard, 1943 -- Died This Day
Politician born at Perth in what is now Ontario on January 6, An early homesteader in Saskatchewan, he went on in 1901 to co-found the Territorial Grain Growers' Association to provide legislation against the monopolistic practices of elevator companies and Canadian Pacific Railway. In 1905, he was appointed Saskatchewan's first minister of agriculture and he became a tireless advocate of modern farming techniques and agrarian education. In 1918, he resigned in opposition to provincial support of conscription and, soon after, entered federal politics. From 1921 to 1930, he served as minister of agriculture under Mackenzie King. He died in Regina.

At the age of 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, with his family by his side. Much loved husband to Aline. Born October 26, 1945, died May 27, 2006. She will be missed by her husband Frank, son Daniel, daughter Lesley and brother Paul MOTSCHMAN of St. Catharines. After graduating from Saint Michael's College, University of Toronto, Mitzi taught at Dennis Morris High School in St. Catharines, then in Barrie at Central and Eastview Secondary School. The family would like to thank the many nurses, doctors, and health care professionals who have cared for Mitzi during her years with cancer. Thanks also to the many Friends for their wonderful support. Predeceased by her husband Clarence "Bus" FORD; brothers Manley, Delbert and Guy MOTT and a sister Freda LANGEN. Dear mother of Sandy (Larry GRIFFIN) of Port Colborne, Jill (Dwight GUTZMAN) of Oakville. Grandmother of Lyndsay GRIFFIN (Deborah) of Ajax, Laurie GRIFFIN of Port Colborne and Catherine (Shane) of Mississauga.
