Harold married Bernice
DILLON on July 8th, 1944 in Elmira, Ontario.
After the birth of their children they traveled extensively from
1966 until Bernice suffered a stroke in December of 1998. Harold
worked tirelessly to give her as comfortable and full a life
as possible since that time. They had celebrated 62 years of
marriage. Harold was a salesman all his life and had two careers,
one with The W.T. Rawleigh Company as his father had been, and
the second in the investment business. As a stockbroker he had
a long and productive career spanning 30 years. Harold worked
for many companies before he retired from RBC Dominion Securities
in 1993, although he never lost his passion for following the
market. Harold was involved in several different Investment Clubs
over the years and made many Friends. He also enjoyed playing
cards, his favorites being bridge and solo. He was a member of
The Knights of Columbus Kitchener Council since 1940 (the second
longest member). Visitation will be held on Friday from 2: 00
until 4: 00 p.m. and from 7:00 until 9:00 at Henry Walser Funeral
Home at 507 Fredrick Street, Kitchener, Ontario. Funeral Prayers
will be held at 8: 15 during the Friday evening visitation. The
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, November 25th at 10: 00 a.m.
at St. Francis Church, 49 Blueridge Avenue, Kitchener, Ontario.
Interment will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery and the reception
will follow interment in St. Francis Church, lower level. In
lieu of flowers, donations can be made at the funeral home to

"Gerry" VERMEEREN of Tillsonburg on Friday, January 6, 2006,
at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, at the age of
69 years. Born in Holland, November 8, 1936,
son of the late
Gerard VERMEEREN and the later former Adriana
STEVENS. He was
a member of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Tillsonburg; the
4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Reverend Father Joseph M. Burke Assembly,
Ingersoll, and Saint Mary's Knights of Columbus Council #3212,
and the Senior Centre Choir, Tillsonburg. He came to Ingersoll
in 1951 and was an employee of the Ford Motor Company in Talbotville
for 31 years, retiring in 1999. Dear husband and best friend

77 at York Central Hospital in Richmond Hill. She was predeceased
by her husband of 57 years Earl. Helen's most cherished achievement
in life was to be the proud mother and grandmother of six children
Doug (Nancy), Susan (Graham), Karen (Henry), Sandy (Lorne), Russell,
Elizabeth (David), 13 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.
Helen will be dearly missed by her special canine friend Elmo
who will miss their walks and her special treats. Friends and

30 years of service as an executive of C.K.L.W. Television and
later the C.B.C. He served his community in many ways. He was
a recipient of the Canadian Centennial Medal (1967) and the Paul
Lutzeier Memorial Award as co-chair of the International Freedom
Festival. He was a 55 year member of the Knights of Columbus
and was a director of the Glengarda Child and Family Services
for many years. A special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff
of Metropolitan Hospital. Their compassion and care was greatly
appreciated by Frank and his family. Visiting Tuesday, from 7: 00 to
9: 00 p.m. and Wednesday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
at The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road,
Tecumseh (735-2830). Holy Family Council #4386 K. of C. prayers
Wednesday at 7: 00 p.m. and Parish prayers Wednesday at 8:30 p.m.
