World War II Veteran Canadian Women's Army Corps, Atlantic Command Headquarters.
Margie passed away peacefully at her home just before her 81st birthday. Daughter of the late Donald Borden CHASE (late Marguerite BANCROFT) and step-daughter of the late Madalyn E. CHASE. Wife and best friend of Langton Geo. BAKER for 59 years. Beloved mother of Jackie Baker LOACH (Ken.) Dear sister to the late Jack CHASE (Mary,) Betsy HOLT (Ed,) and Ned CHASE (Eleanor.) Dear sister-in-law to the late Mary H. SEAGRAM, late Winifred Mary (Kaley) SEAGRAM (David), late Harvey C. BAKER, Nancy I. LYNN (late James F. LYNN) and Donald R. BAKER (Evalyn.) Wonderful Grammie to David and Megan LOACH. Dear aunt of Alan B. TURNER, Lynne Marie
Lynne passed away suddenly at Princess Margaret Hospital on Friday, November 24, 2006 at the age of 52, after a long and courageous battle with lymphoma and MDS. Cherished daughter of the late Walter and June (GAULT) TURNER. Beloved sister of the late Carl TURNER. Lynne was passionate about her chosen profession of internal auditing. She worked nationally and internationally with Rio Algom, Canadian Pacific, and most recently as a self-employed consultant and in partnership with Brook Laker and Associates. She enjoyed her pastimes of travel and photography. Lynne will be dearly missed by her family and close circle of Friends, and remembered as a lady who was full of grace, dignity, caring and giving. Lynne's family would like to thank Doctor J. BRANDWEIN, Dr. H. MESSNER, Doctor J. LIPTON, Doctor D. LOACH, and all of the nurses and staff at the lymphoma clinic, transfusion clinic, and also the bone marrow transplant team for their care and compassion. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter "Butler" Chapel, 4933 Dundas Street West, Etobicoke (between Kipling and Islington Avenues), on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to celebrate Lynne's life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, December 4th at 11 a.m. Interment Springcreek Cemetery. In memory of Lynne, donations can be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation (Lymphoma Department).

In his 79th year, Samuel Wilson HOEY, the loving husband and best friend of Irene FARLEY- HOEY (née McKIBBON) and his loved late wife Doreen Rose HOEY (née McKAY). Loving father of Louise and her husband Gary LOADER, Diane CUNNINGHAM, Karen and her husband Ralph SLAYER, Brent HOEY, Rick FARLEY and his late wife Brenda, and Lynn and her husband Mike ANGELL. Loving grandfather of Daryl, Paul, Jeffrey, Amanda, Luke, Adam, Linda, Stephanie, Cheryl, Laura, Christopher, Telsa, Christopher, Brittnee, Johnathan. Great grandfather of Callum, Kyla, Zoe, and Ethan. On Sunday, December 3rd, 2006, Garfield Manzer GIBERSON, age 89 of Sarnia passed away at Marshall Manor in Sarnia. Loving husband of the late Eva (LICKFOLD) GIBERSON (1997,) dear father of daughters Diane GIBBONS (Max FREER) of Sarnia, Carol GIBERSON of Oakville and Maureen ISREALS (Fred) of London and sons Barry GIBERSON (Diane) of Mooretown and Brian GIBERSON (Janet) of Unionville, grandfather of Carla BOLTON (Paul,) Justine LOADER (David,) Michael ISBER (Carol), Aaron ISBER, Scott COOLMAN (Jodie), Amy LANDERS (Paul,) Mark GIBERSON, Dale GIBERSON, Laura GIBERSON and Nicole GIBERSON, great-grandfather of Julie and Jenna BOLTON, Tyson and Victoria PARKER, Tatum LOADER, Holly ISBER, Madison COOLMAN and Benjamin and Jacquelyn LANDERS, brother of Kenneth (Pete) GIBERSON, Wendel GIBERSON, Fred GIBERSON and Vernon GIBERSON. He was predeceased by his father Frank Garfieled GIBERSON (1958,) his mother Helen Estella (WRIGHT) GIBERSON (1983,) sisters Frances and Madeline GIBERSON and brothers John, Arthur and Burton GIBERSON. Several nieces, nephews and in-laws also survive. Mr. GIBERSON was a veteran of World War 2 and a Petrolia resident for many years before moving to Sarnia. Funeral services will be held from the D.J. Robb Funeral Home, (102 N. Victoria Street, Sarnia, Ontario, N7T 5W9) on Wednesday, December 6th at 1: 00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hillsdale Cemetery in Petrolia. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday between the hours of 2: 00-4:00 and 7: 00-9:00 p.m. Memorial gifts to Pathways Health Center for Children (1240 Murphy Rd., Sarnia, Ontario., N7S 2Y6) would be appreciated by the family. SPENCER, Elizabeth Joyce " Betty" (née MORGAN)
Passed away on Friday, February 10, 2006 at Freeport Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital, Kitchener. Betty resided at Foxboro Green, Baden and was formerly of Oakville and Mississauga. She was born 80 years ago in Southampton, England, a daughter of the late Arthur and Anne (LOADES) MORGAN. Betty came to Canada in 1952. She volunteered with the Canadian Cancer Society and was active in both the Foxboro and Morningside Communities. Beloved wife of the late Trevor Bertram Spencer who predeceased her October 8, 1997. Loving mother of Lee and Marilyn Spencer of Brampton and John and Karen Spencer of Oakville. Sadly missed by grandchildren Jennifer, Jeffrey, Robert and his wife Laura, Sarah and Matthew as well as by great-grandchildren Evan and Amber. Dear sister of Alan and Gwynn MORGAN of Southampton, England and Joan Evans of Beamsville. Also remembered by a number of nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. At the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, December 19th, 2006, James Everatt L. MILLER of Saint Thomas in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (LOW/LOWE/LOUGH) MILLER (1972) and dearly loved father of Stephen MILLER of Tillsonburg and Darlene STOTT of London. Predeceased by two brothers and by five sisters. James is also lovingly remembered by three grandchildren Shane FAULKNER, Jared MILLER, and Sean MILLER and by a great-grand_son Jeffrey. James was born June 5th, 1919 in New Brunswick to the late William Charles and Margaret Rebecca (LOANE) MILLER. He had served with the Air Force for over 28 years and had also worked at the Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St. Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation to follow in London with interment of the ashes to be made at the Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Cancer Society.
