BRAIVE, Marjorie Caroline (née LIDDELL)
Marjorie Caroline BRAIVE (née LIDDELL) passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital on April 8, 2006. Beloved wife and best friend of John Louis; dearest mother of Carrie SMITH (Charles) of Richmond Hill; John (Hilary CLEMENTS) and Charles of Toronto and Peter Roy (Monique PATENAUDE) of Newmarket. Beloved Granny of Richard (Jennifer); Lori (Angelina); Vanessa, Jeremy, Russell and Alexander and great grandmother of Zachary and Gabriel. Daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Roy P. LIDDELL; dear sister of Mary DRESCHER (Florida) and Irene UFER (Toronto and Montreal) and the late Joan SAMPLES (Virginia.) Marge endured the pain of ill health without complaint. All who knew her admired her determination and courage. She drew strength from her family, her love of nature and her belief in God. She will be remembered for her sense of humour, sincerity and selflessness. Special thanks and gratitude to the wonderful care givers from Don Mills Foundation and ComCare for their compassion and the professional, caring staff at Sunnybrook Hospital. Funeral services will be held at St. Bonaventure Church, 1300 Leslie Street, Don Mills, on Wednesday, April 12 at 10: 30 a.m. Visitation at St. Bonaventure's April 12 at 9: 30 a.m. Interment in Cimetiere Cotes des Neiges, Montreal, T.B.A. If desired, donations in her memory to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, 20 Victoria Street, 6th floor, Toronto, Ontario, M5C 2N8 would be appreciated.

Passed away at the Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital on Monday, January 16, 2006 in his 88th year. Peter, beloved husband of the late Marcella LIDDELL (née DUFFY.) Dear brother of Martha LONGSTON and husband Johnny of Lively. Predeceased by James, William and wife May, George and wife Ina, Mary WILSON and husband Bill, Bessie HARE and husband Walter, Nessie EADIE and husband Jimmy and Janet BERESFORD and husband Bob. Survived by sister-in-law Mary LIDDELL of Scotland. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Orillia Presbyterian Church, 99 Peter St. N., Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 10 o'clock. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Amanda, Erica and Philip PINNINGTON, and the late Penelope. Adored Bubby of Sarah, Thomas, and James. Dear father of Joan LIDSTER of London, Darlene and husband Eric McKENZIE of Victoria, British Columbia, Sandra VANDUINKERKEN and husband John of Cavendish, Prince Edward Island, Janet and husband John YORK of Cambridge, Ivan SHACKELTON and wife Mable of Simcoe, Larry SHACKELTON and wife Mary Louise of Windsor, David SHACKELTON and wife Janet of Harrow, Paul SHACKELTON and wife Anne Marie of Elliot Lake and Gregory SHACKELTON and wife Brenda of Windsor. Brother of Kenneth SHACKELTON and wife Leone of Springfield, Leslie SHACKELTON of R.R.#1, Springfield and the late Vera PARSONS. There are 26 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Doreen HAMPSON and an infant son Robert "Bobby" SHACKELTON. Born in South Dorchester Twp on July 6, 1915 son of the late John and Bertha (McINTYRE) SHACKELTON. Carmen was a retired farmer and heavy equipment operator. In 1971 he moved from the Aylmer area to Iron Bridge and returned to this area in 1991. Friends may call at the H.A.
