DAVISON, Alexandra Marie
Suddenly and unexpectedly while on vacation with her family in Varadero, Cuba on Monday, January 30, 2006, Alexandra Marie DAVISON, of London, at the age of 27, peacefully passed away. Survived by her loving parents Lucyanne and John DAVISON, her brother Johnny and his fiancée Richelle BEST, and her brother Patrick and his fiancée Caroline JOUBERT. The light of Alex's life most recently was her nephew Joshua, son of Johnny and Richelle - who always had a smile for Alex. Predeceased by her baby brother Christopher. Also survived by her grandfather Leon LIBAWSKI of Brampton. Alex will be missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, Friends and neighbours, as well as her cat Chloe. Alex was a graduate of S.T.A. High School, Fanshawe College, and was currently working on her degree in Women's Studies through Athabasca University. Alex faced many challenges throughout her life and yet she met each day with a smile. Alex was our Angel on earth. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 10th at St. Pius X Church on Valetta Street, at 10: 00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Cremation has taken place. Private family interment of ashes at St. Peter's Cemetery, London, will take place at a later date.

Sadly at London Health Sciences Centre University Hospital on Monday, October 9, 2006 Casey (Kazimierz) PTAK dearly loved and cherished husband and best friend of Catherine (RONDINELLI) PTAK, age 50 years. Loving and proud father of Stephanie PTAK and Christopher PTAK both at home. Beloved brother of Donna (Ron) LONGO, Barb (Dave) COLEMAN. Loved and respected brother-in-law of Connie (Sam) BRUNO, Frank RONDINELLI, Mary (Luigi) LIBERATORE. Treasured uncle of Annette (Todd), Tara (Mario), Paul, David, Francesca, Carmela, Michael, Bradley and great uncle of Sydney and Alexis. Greatly missed by aunts, uncles, cousins and Friends. Special thanks and admiration to Doctor QUAN, Dr LUKE, the cancer centre and the caring and loving staff at University Hospital during this difficult time for their exceptional care. Passed away, peacefully, on Wednesday, November 15th, 2006, Garefield Harold FOSTER of Cornell Road, R.R.#3, Tillsonburg, at the Woodstock General Hospital at the age of 73 years. Born December 11, 1932, son of the late Rodger FOSTER (1945) and the late former Iva HICKS (1966.) (Dedicated former employee of the Oxford County Roads and Public Works Department and later Heavy Equipment Operator with the Cattle Construction Company, Culloden. Member of the Springford Baptist Church). Much loved husband and best friend of 53 years of Marjorie Louise (LIBERT) FOSTER and father of Tim (Judy) FOSTER, Hamilton; Kathy WOOD (John BAATJE), Tillsonburg Danny (Beatrice) FOSTER, Fort Fances; Lane (Shelly) FOSTER, Powell River, British Columbia; Mark (Teresa) FOSTER, Simcoe; Brenda (William McCAREY,) Tillsonburg. Loving Papa to Kacey, Sarita, Edi, Matthew, Meagan, Bill Jr., Dana, Ryan, Nicole, Garret and Haden and a great-granddaughter Hailey. Survived by a brother-in-law Jack BAXTER of Tillsonburg. Predeceased by a sister Phyllis BAXTER (2000,) his father-in-law Walter LIBERT (1949,) his mother-in-law Margerite LIBERT (1998) and a brother-in-law Glen LIBERT (1997.) A resident of Chatham and formerly of Harwich Township, Jack W. SMITH passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Wednesday, July 18, 2006 at the age of 81. Born in McKay's Corners, son of the late Lorne and Myrtle (WYLIE) SMITH. Beloved husband of Doris (BRAITHWAITE) SMITH for 46 years. Dear father of Lorne SMITH and his wife Clara of Harwich Township, James SMITH and his wife Cheryl of Harwich Township, and Karen LIBERTY and her husband Frank of Dresden. Grandfather of Jessica SMITH, Rebecca SMITH, Adam SMITH, Matthew LIBERTY, and Christopher LIBERTY. Brother of Helen SCOTT of Chatham and her late husband Doug. Brother-in-law of Marion TOWSLEY of Chatham and her late husband Ron, Lloyd and Elaine BRAITHWAITE of Minden, and the late Stan BRAITHWAITE. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Jack was a lifelong farmer in Harwich Township and a member of Zion United Church, Harwich Township. LIBIN, Mona Rae (née DIAMOND)
Mona Rae LIBIN passed away Monday June 12, 2006. She is survived by Alvin, her husband of 53 years, her son Bobby (LeeAnn), her grandchildren Eda, Nora and Louis and her special friend Chris MUNDA. Born in Calgary on August 9, 1930 to Louis and Eda DIAMOND, Mona proudly called Calgary home and from there she actively pursued her many interests. She loved animals, fishing, golf and time with her grandchildren. She was passionate about improving health care and about the Calgary Flames. Mona was instrumental in creating the Alvin and Mona Libin Foundation (of which she was President) and the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta. She worked tirelessly for the Foothills Hospital, the University of Calgary and was a dedicated volunteer and leader for many causes. Mona was a friend to all, and will be sorely missed. Funeral services will be at the Beth Tzedec Synagogue (1325 Glenmore Trail, access from Glenmore Trail eastbound onto service road only) Wednesday, June 14 at 2: 00 with burial at the Erlton Cemetary. If desired, contributions may be made in Mona's memory to the Libin Cardiovascular Institute of Alberta, c/o The Calgary Health Trust.

We are very sad to announce the passing of our dear husband and father Jack LAIST on December 19, 2006. Dearly beloved husband of Anne and adored father and father-in-law of Rosalie and Brian ANTMAN, Yaffa and Barry GANG, Marilyn and Mark ROSEN, Jonah and Karen LAIST, Adele and Mark ROSENBLATT. Very proud and loving grandfather of fourteen grandchildren. Dear brother of Mania KESTENMAN and Sonia KAFKA and brother-in-law of Benny and Faigie LIBMAN, Sarah and John STONEMAN.
