Passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Maples Home for Seniors in Tavistock on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 in his 93rd year. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, the former Hazel TUFFIN of Ingersoll; his son, Jack (Sheila) CHRISTIANSON of Putnam his daughters, Karen (Bev) PREST of Centralia, Lianne (Jerry) LEFAIVE of Ingersoll; seven grandchildren, Kim (Ray) FARRUGIA of London, Tracy (Nik) GIZDIC of London, Rob CHRISTIANSON of London, Ron CHRISTIANSON of Toronto, Laurie (Paul) CHRISTIANSON of Ottawa, Michelle (Dennis) KIRK of Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Ryan LEFAIVE of London; eight great-grandchildren, Nathan, Amberly and Alexander FARRUGIA, Morgan and Grayson GIZDIC of London, Annika KIRK of Gull Lake, Saskatchewan., Aidan and Emily ATKINSON of Ottawa; many nieces and nephews in Western Canada and cousins in Norway. He was predeceased by 9 siblings, Einar, Wilhelm, Willy, Hilma, Pauline, Art, Mabel, Jennie and Helen. There will be no funeral home visitation. Cremation has taken place. Beloved wife of Maurice (Moe) PUBLUSKE and the late Elgin FULFORD (1960) Loving mother of Brian FULFORD and his wife Jayne and Capt. Robert SCHREIBER and his wife Corrine all of Sauble Beach. Dearest friend of Janet BOYER. Dear father of Dawn (Lance) FARRIS, Grimsby, Connie GAELER, Corunna, and Lance BELL, Chesley. Grandfather of Dan (Melinda) LEFEBVRE, Christie (Raymond) KLASSEN, Travis GAELER and Alex SAINT_JEAN. Proud great poppa of Eric LEFEBVRE and Lola KLASSEN. Morell leaves behind with many happy and funny memories, brother and sisters, Francis, Patricia (Richard), Harold (Peggy), Betsy (James), Winston (Dorothy), Faye (Bill), Boyd Jr (Lynn), Lyle (Ruth), Linda, Rhonda (Tom), Shannon (Stan), Dean (Veronica). Carmel, Windsor, St. Francis, Tilbury, Our Lady Help of Christians, Wallaceburg, St. Claire, Windsor, Holy Family, Wallaceburg and Immaculate Conception, Stratford. He is survived by his brothers and sisters Roy BOURQUE (Marge), Windsor, Leo BOURQUE (Annie), Munroe, Michigan, Luella (George BROWN,) La Salle, Eugene BOURQUE (Marcie,) Windsor, Gladys BOURQUE, Windsor, Margaret (Edward LEFEBVRE), Belle River. BÉDARD, Doctor Yvan C., M.D., PhD, F.R.C.P.C. (1942-2006)
Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 3rd, after a full and happy life sadly shortened by a malignant brain tumour. Doctor BÉDARD will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Arlette (née LEFEBVRE,) daughter Anne-Claude and her husband Ted, son Philippe and his wife Melissa, mother Cécile, sisters Micheline and Lise, along with his adoring in-laws, cousins, nephews and nieces. Born in Quebec City, Doctor BÉDARD graduated from medical school and completed his postgraduate specialization in Pathology at Laval University and obtained his PhD from the University of Toronto. He was appointed as a Staff Pathologist at Mount Sinai Hospital in 1972, where he established the diagnostic Electron Microscopy Program and was the head of Cytopathology. He was an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto, former Chairman of the Examination Board in Anatomical and General Pathology for The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and consultant for MDS Diagnostic Services. Widely regarded as one of the most outstanding diagnostic cytopathologists and pathology educators in Canada, he developed an innovative residency program which combined electron microscopy and cytopathology and stimulated the careers of many leading academic pathologists and cytotechnologists. He authored over 100 publications, was an invited speaker at scientific meetings around the world, contributed extensively to hospital, university, and international committees, and was the recipient of numerous awards and honours. In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Doctor Yvan C. Bédard Cytology Education Fund, Mount Sinai Hospital Auxillary, Suite 208, 600 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 1X5 or the Dorothy Ley Hospice, 170 Sherway Drive, Suite 3, Etobicoke, Ontario, M9C 1A6 would be greatly appreciated by his family. Peacefully on Friday March 10, 2006 at Vancouver General Hospital. Beloved husband of Barbara (née LEFFERT.) Loving father, father-in-law and stepfather of Leslie and Brett SMITH, David and Nancy BREZER, Robin and Andrew PARR, Allison and Jamie ROTTMAN, and Jessica and Mark GIDAL. Devoted Zaide of Lindsay, Jordan, Sam, Megan, Lauren, Sophia and Noa. Dear bruder'ke to Ida and Jack and sister-in-law Beverly. Fondly remembered by Bunny BREZER (née DAVIS). Born in Pinsk in 1927, he became a prominent member of Edmonton's Jewish community. Dad was a real estate developer and owner of the House of Modern, and he lived his love of ice cream. Following his marriage to Barbara in 1984, the expanded family moved to Vancouver. He was an avid skier and golfer, and loved to relax playing cards with family and Friends. Dad was loved by all for his kind, gentle soul, and will be missed by all he touched. Services 11: 30 a.m. Sunday March 12 at Temple Shalom Section of Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, White Rock, British Columbia, followed by a reception with his family and Friends at the Louis Brier Home.

Of Huronview, Clinton, and formerly of Hullett Township and Seaforth, passed away peacefully in her 87th year on Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Beloved wife of the late John H. McEWING (1998.) Dear mother of Beth McEwing READ and Marjorie CARTWRIGHT, Seaforth, Noreen (Herman) LEFLER, Simcoe, Alex (Sharon) MacEWING, Maryhill and Karen McEwing (John) McCONNELL, London. Dear Grandma of 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brother and sisters-in-law Howard (Joan) BERNARD, and Lillian BERNARD, all of Brussels. She is also survived by a brother-in-law James (Gloria) McEWING. Several nephews and nieces also survive. Predeceased by her parents Earl L. and Annie V. (ALCOCK) BERNARD, a son-in-law Howard CARTWRIGHT, her brothers Thomas (Margaret) BERNARD and George BERNARD, her sister Mary (Harold) EAST, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Helen (William) PEPPER and Marjorie (Norman) LLOYD. Friends and family will be received at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Janie's life will be conducted on Wednesday, June 7 at 2: 00 p.m. at Northside United Church, 54 Goderich Street West, Seaforth. Huronview Chaplain, Fran DONOHUE, will officiate, assisted by Rev. John GOULD. Interment Maitlandbank Cemetery, Seaforth. At her residence on Saturday, November 18th, 2006 peacefully, and surrounded by her family. MaryLou HEPBURN of R.R.#3, Saint Thomas in her 65th year. Beloved wife of 49 years of Royden HEPBURN and dearly loved mother of Karlene and her husband Don O'CONNOR, Saint Thomas; Kathy and her husband Murray DECORTE, R.R.#2 Saint Thomas Karen DOPP and partner Stan GILHAM, Saint Thomas and Karl and his wife Tammy HEPBURN, R.R.#3 Saint Thomas. Dear sister of Margaret WILEER, Victoria, British Columbia Predeceased by a brother Claude LEFLER and by a sister Doreen KINSMAN. She is also lovingly remembered by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and by two great great-grandchildren. She was born in Saint Thomas on March 20th, 1942 to Claude and Dorothy LEFLER. MaryLou had worked for many years at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, she was an avid traveler and enjoyed doing her craft work. In her 88th year, Margaret GILBANK (née PATTISON,) the beloved wife of the late Wilfred Charles Palmer GILBANK. The loving mother of Frederick and his late wife Shirley, and Janice and her husband Paul LEFNESKI. Proud grandmother of Joshua, Matthew, Amy and Jacob and step-grandchildren Dawn and Robert. Step-great-grandmother of Keara and Nadin. Predeceased by her brother Ben and three sisters Mary, Selena and Jenny.
