MONFORTON was a Professor of Civil Engineering
retiring in 1996 and was the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
from 1987-1992 at the University of Windsor. He was also a member
of the Professional Engineers of Ontario. In kindness, memorial
donations made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would
be appreciated as your expression of sympathy. Funeral arrangements
are incomplete at this time but funeral arrangements are entrusted
to Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouelette Avenue,
Windsor, Ontario (519-253-5225). A tree will be planted in memory
of Gerard MONFORTON in the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Heritage Forest.
A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2007.

surrounded by her family at the William Osler Heath Centre Etobicoke
Campus, in her 83rd year. Loving Mum of Gail (Tom)

In loving memory of Rose O. Lajiness, in her 97th year, of Monroe, Michigan
who died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at her home. Funeral Mass was Saturday,
March 4 at St. Michael Catholic Church. The Reverend Stephen Rooney, pastor of
the church, officiated. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born Feb.
27, 1910, in Erie, she was the daughter of Austin and Margaret ( DeLisle)
Eighmey. She married Ralph P. Lajiness Feb. 18, 1928, at St. Joseph Catholic
Church, Erie. He died Aug. 22, 1977. A homemaker, she was a member of the
Monroe Center and St. Michael Catholic Church. She enjoyed flower gardening,
reading and travelling. Surviving are a brother, Robert of Erie, two
sisters, Kathryn (James) Cinglie of Erie and Florence Weber of Monroe, six
grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Rose and Ralph enjoyed their
cottage for many years at Lake Mindemoya in the summers, and winters in
Clearwater, Florida. She will be remembered by many Friends in the Mindemoya area.

taught for the London School Board until his retirement in 2002.
He enjoyed golf from early spring to late fall with his golf
buddy Red, and also bowled with the Pedagogue league for many
years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will
be held on Tuesday, December 12th from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday,
December 13th from 6: 00-7:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel,
709 Wonderland Road North, where the memorial service will be
conducted on Wednesday December 13th, 2006 at 7: 00 p.m. At Richard's
request and in accordance with the wishes of his family, please
do not send flowers. Those wishing to make a donation in memory
of Richard are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation
of Ontario or the London Health Sciences Foundation -- Cancer
Centre.
