68 years. Died on November 15, 2006 in Naples, Florida. Beloved husband of Cecilia DESROBERTS (née FORTIER) of Harrison Township, Michigan. and the late Jeanne (née LAJEUNESSE) (1993.) Beloved son of his late parents: Rita (née LANGLOIS) and Paul MONFORTON and son-in-law to Lily LAJEUNESSE of Windsor and her late husband Louis (2005.) Loving father of Doctor Anne Marie SMITH and her husband Michael of London, Gerald of Ottawa, Monique PRIEUR and her husband Greg of Tecumseh and Paul of Ottawa and step-children Mark DESROBERTS and his wife Heather of Michigan and David DESROBERTS and his wife Jennifer of Chicago, Illinois. Dear "Pip" to Natalie, Erin, Ryan, Matthew, Sarah, Julia, Luke, Sebastien, Isabella and Gabrielle. Dear brother of Rick MONFORTON and his wife Agnes CLAIRE of Kitchener and predeceased by Lionel (1981) and Michael (1988). Dear uncle of 6 nieces and nephews. Dear nephew to special his Aunt Marie LANGLOIS of Windsor. Mr. MONFORTON was a Professor of Civil Engineering retiring in 1996 and was the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering from 1987-1992 at the University of Windsor. He was also a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario. In kindness, memorial donations made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but funeral arrangements are entrusted to Janisse Bros-Marcotte Funeral Home, 1139 Ouelette Avenue, Windsor, Ontario (519-253-5225). A tree will be planted in memory of Gerard MONFORTON in the Janisse Bros-Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on Sunday, September 30, 2007. All are welcome. After a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, surrounded by her family at the William Osler Heath Centre Etobicoke Campus, in her 83rd year. Loving Mum of Gail (Tom) ANDERSON, John (Marlene ZAWIERYCHA), Keith (Sue), and Ralph. Adored Nana of Aimee, Meghan, Kerry, James, Gregory, Brendan, Andrew, Evan and Kayleigh. Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday. A Funeral Service will be held in the Ward Chapel on Saturday at 2: 30 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the William Osler Heath Centre Foundation Palliative Care Unit or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. ROSE O. LAJINESS
In loving memory of Rose O. Lajiness, in her 97th year, of Monroe, Michigan
who died Wednesday, March 1, 2006 at her home. Funeral Mass was Saturday,
March 4 at St. Michael Catholic Church. The Reverend Stephen Rooney, pastor of
the church, officiated. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born Feb.
27, 1910, in Erie, she was the daughter of Austin and Margaret ( DeLisle)
Eighmey. She married Ralph P. Lajiness Feb. 18, 1928, at St. Joseph Catholic
Church, Erie. He died Aug. 22, 1977. A homemaker, she was a member of the
Monroe Center and St. Michael Catholic Church. She enjoyed flower gardening,
reading and travelling. Surviving are a brother, Robert of Erie, two
sisters, Kathryn (James) Cinglie of Erie and Florence Weber of Monroe, six
grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Rose and Ralph enjoyed their
cottage for many years at Lake Mindemoya in the summers, and winters in
Clearwater, Florida. She will be remembered by many Friends in the Mindemoya area.

SKRABA, Richard John
Died peacefully on November 28th, 2006 at the age of 58. He is survived and will be greatly missed by his wife Claudette; his children: Carrie Ann (Randy TIPPINS) of Thunder Bay, Shannon SKRABA of Sudbury, Penny Lee (Rocky JACQUES) of Temiskaming Shores, Christine LAJOIE- SKRABA and David SKRABA of London; his grandchildren: Brianna and Samantha (JACQUES) and William (TIPPINS;) his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, cousin Sandra MARK and other cousins. Also missed by his mother Rose SKRABA and by his sister Angey SABOURIN both of Sudbury. Richard is predeceased by his much loved in-laws Bernard and Therese GABOURY of Temiskaming Shores as well as his father John SKRABA of Sudbury. Richard taught for the London School Board until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed golf from early spring to late fall with his golf buddy Red, and also bowled with the Pedagogue league for many years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12th from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 13th from 6: 00-7:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday December 13th, 2006 at 7: 00 p.m. At Richard's request and in accordance with the wishes of his family, please do not send flowers. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Richard are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the London Health Sciences Foundation -- Cancer Centre.

Peacefully at the Grenadier Retirement Residence on Tuesday October 17, 2006 in her 95th year. Loving mother of Kenneth (Donna LYNN,) Gregory (Maureen MacVICAR,) and Cathy (Graham WHITE/WHYTE.) Beloved Nana of Laura and John KINLIN; Erin and Dan CURRIE, Meaghan and Ceilidh KINLIN; Katie, Heather and Patrick WHITE/WHYTE. Loved sister-in-law of Margaret McMAHON, Brockville, Ontario. Loving friend of her long time caregiver Sonja MULLINS. Beloved wife of the late J. Frank KINLIN (Ministry of Education.) Predeceased by her children Monica Therese and John, her brothers and sisters: Patricia (Ernest) LESAGE, Joseph MURPHY, Patrick (Rita) MURPHY, Monica (Alphonse) LAJOIE, Leo (Josephine) MURPHY and Larry (Marie) MURPHY; her brothers and sisters-in-law: James (Lena/Alice) KINLIN, Msgr. Peter KINLIN, Mary (Austin) DILLON, William (Margaret) KINLIN, Leon McMAHON, and Joseph KINLIN. Honoured and loved by her many nieces and nephews, many of whom visited her in her last days. Blessed with many kind Friends and caring neighbours. Proud graduate of Tweed High School and Peterborough Normal School, teacher in the Tweed area, and at Saint Margaret's School, Toronto. Long time resident of North Toronto and parishioner at Saint Margaret's Church for more than 45 years. Visitation at the Trull Funeral Home, 2704 Yonge Street, Toronto on Friday, October 20 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Margaret of Scotland Church, 222 Ridley Blvd. Toronto, Saturday October 21 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow from St. Carthagh's Cemetery, Tweed Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice are appreciated.
