37, Halifax, died February 2, 2006, in the Victoria General Site,
QEII. She was born September 30, 1968 in London, Ontario to Greek
immigrant parents, Paraskevas "Peter"
KOUMOUTSIDIS and Panagiota
"Betty" KOUMOUTSIDIS.
She was married in July of 1993 in Athens,
Greece. She lived in London, Ontario until 1996, in Lethbridge,
Alberta, until 1998, and
in Halifax since 1998. She was unselfish
and caring, and had a charming and outgoing personality. She
made many good Friends in every place she went to. She battled
breast cancer for about 3.5 years with stunning determination.
Surviving are husband, Stavros
KONSTANTINIDIS; daughter, Georgia
(eight years old), Halifax; brother, Dimitrios "Jimmy", London,
Ontario; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Arrangements
have been entrusted to T.K. Barnard Funeral Home, 3460 Dutch
Village Rd., Halifax. Funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, in
Greek Orthodox Church, 38 Purcells Cove Rd., Father Panagiotis
"Peter" Maropoulos. Interment in Fairview Cemetery. Donations
may be made to Great Orthodox Church, Breast Cancer Research
or Canadian Cancer Society.

and nephews. Catherine "Kitty" was an exceptionally talented
commercial artist. Renown for her life-like animal portraits,
she was also commissioned in her early years to paint Roosevelt's
beloved Scottie, "Falla", which is located in the Franklin Delano
Roosevelt Library in Hyde Park, New York. Her special artistic
works were produced similarly for Prime Minister Mackenzie King,
Lord and Lady Alexander, and many others; and, of particular
note, a Border Collie employed by the U.S. Army's K-9 Corps to
deliver messages during the Second World War. A uniquely independent
character, Kitty will be forever loved and missed by close family
and Friends. Heartfelt thanks are extended to Doctor Isabel
LI and
the 6th Floor Palliative Care Team for their tremendous expertise
and care. At Kitty's request a private family graveside service
was held at Woodland Cemetery on Friday, June 23rd. (A. Millard

KOUTSOGIORGAS, born in Karies (Arahova,)
Greece, February 13, 1941. George was the loving husband of Mata,
father of Maria, Effie and Harie, grandfather of Chrisa, Matina,
George and Kosta, and father-in-law to Chris and Dimitri. On
January 2, 2006, George passed away suddenly. George was a strong,
caring, compassionate man, who loved and cherished his family.
A man who loved his wife dearly, adored his three daughters,
and lit up when his four beautiful grandchildren entered the
room. George loved and lived for his family. George took great
pride in his family restaurant - Sotiris Shish Kebob in Burlington,
and will be greatly missed by the staff, patrons and Friends.
George was a man of great strength and character, who will be
missed very much by all who knew and loved him. George will always
be our Hero. We will love you always. Visitation at Smith's Funeral
