Born on November 26, 1920 in Vancouver, British Columbia to the late Harold and Gladys (SHAW) FITZ- JAMES. Predeceased by a son Michael FITZ- JAMES (2005.) Survived by his loving wife Doryth LOEWY. Loving father of Frederick, Jasmine, Meriel HERNANDEZ (Raphael), Bronwyn FITZ- JAMES (Ford EVANS), Athlyn FITZ- JAMES (Tom HAMILTON), and Granddad to 9 grandchildren. Dear brother of Carmel HILL and brother-in-law of Ilse BLUM, Renate KNABE and Evelyn DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS and predeceased by Sheila, Mike, Mary and Terrance. Doctor FITZ- JAMES received his Ph.D. from U.W.O. He did research and taught courses, Microbiology and Biochemistry at U.W.O. He started the Rowing Club of London and the Rowing club of Western Ontario where he was rowing coach for 33 years. Cremation has taken place. Dorothy will be missed by her eleven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Marg (Bert) STEINHOFF of Chesley and brother Alvin (Jean) KNAPP of Kitchener. Predeceased by her husband Roscoe and her parents, Charles and Eleanor (BLUHM) KNAPP. Passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 20, 2006 at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 62. Dearest companion and best friend of Willow COCKS of New Hamburg. Dear father of John (Diane) O'NEIL, James (Laurie) O'NEIL, Joelle O'NEIL (Mary) and Matthew O'NEIL, all of Essex County. Grandfather of Shelayne, Damon, Miranda, Rikki Lee, Jayme and Ashley. Dear son of John and Nina (née KNAPP) O'NEIL of Leamington. Ken will be missed by his sister Gail BROWN and her husband Jeff of Leamington. Step-parent of Laurie MINOR (Wayne), Kelly COCKS all of Kitchener. Ken is also survived by his nephews Brad BROWN of Kingsville and Neale BROWN of Burlington. Ken was a well respected business man and cattle buyer most of his life working in Essex, Middlesex, Waterloo and Wellington Counties. He touched many lives and will be sadly missed. Hilton Head, S.C. -- Emily Chapin "Jamie" Jamieson KNAPP, 89, died Friday, June 16, after a long illness. She was born March 20, 1917 in Warren, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Lewis C. JAMIESON and Julia Bliss Chapin JAMIESON. She received her B.A. from Bennington College in 1938, married David KNAPP on May 31, 1941, and worked as a fashion illustrator for Lord and Taylor in New York City before starting a family. The family moved to Oakville where they lived for 23 years before retiring to South Carolina. She painted throughout her life. She is survived by five children, their spouses and grandchildren: Julia, Arthur, Allison and Ashley Roslund of Lyndonville, Vermont; Marcia, Lon, Megan and Meredith PETERS of Portland, Oregon; David, Kathy and David T. KNAPP of Oakton, Virginia; Cynthia KNAPP and Pete HOLDNAK of Atlanta, Georgia.; and Jamie KNAPP and Rick PALKOVIC of Davis, California. With family by her side, on November 6, 2006 at Craigwiel Gardens Nursing Home in Ailsa Craig, Florence MISHTOLL (formerly TURNBULL) passed away in her 77th year. Predeceased by her 1st husband, William TURNBULL, and her 2nd husband, Mel MISHTOLL. Dear mother of Bill (Darlene) TURNBULL, Bob (Louise) TURNBULL, Sharon SHARRARD (Phil HALL) and Robin TURNBULL. Dear Grammie of Kim CLARK, Michelle KNAUFT, Jeff TURNBULL, Kasey TURNBULL, Heather KAUFMAN, Jackie, Warren and Graham. Loving mother of Bill and Doreen STRONG of Egmondville and Sharon and Danny MURRAY of Kintore. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Lori (Paul) JANMAAT, Lisa (Don) KNAUS, Mike (Tricia) MURRAY, Shannon (Jim) AARTS and Brendan MURRAY.
