Surrounded by her family at Victoria Hospital, London on Saturday, February 11th, 2006, Lillian (KIVELL) SURA in her 80th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph SURA. Dear mother of Mary Jo DEPELMAEKER of Bothwell, Joe SURA and his wife Norma and Diane SURA all of London. Dear sister of Mabel LONG of London, Allen KIVELL and his wife Jean of Chatham and Donna HAMBLIN of Florida. Predeceased by her brothers Byron, Lorne and her sisters Marjorie and Jean. Dear sister-in-law of Shirley KIVELL of Gelncoe. Also loved by her grand_son Justin DEPELMAEKER. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Cremation with interment of cremated remains in Woodland Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive Friends one hour prior to the memorial service which will be conducted in the chapel of the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London on Wednesday, February 15th at 1: 00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to charity of choice. McLARTY, Bernice Sarah (formerly HOFFMAN, née OSBORNE)
Passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Public General Campus on Thursday, March 2, 2006. Born in Howard Township 90 years ago to her parents the late Neta (KIVELL) and George OSBORNE. Bernice is predeceased by her first husband George HOFFMAN (1973) and by her second husband Earl McLARTY in 1999. Surviving are a daughter Hazel TYSICK and her husband Wayne of Toronto and sons Ross HOFFMAN and his wife Eleanor of Blenheim, Fred HOFFMAN and his wife Violet of Ridgetown, Gary HOFFMAN and his wife Pat of Blenheim, Murray HOFFMAN and his wife Karen of Blenheim and Max and his wife Theresa of Springfield. Also surviving is a step-son Ken McLARTY and his wife Sue of Ridgetown, along with 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Bernice is survived by her sisters Lena PICKERING and her husband Gord of Northwood, Mildred KIVELL of Chatham, Margaret SCAMAN of Blenheim and Katheline HUITING and her husband Bert of Tilbury, also a brother Harold OSBORNE and his wife JoAnne of Ridgetown. Also surviving are sisters-in-law Beatrice OSBORNE of Florence and Jean OSBORNE of Toronto. Bernice is predeceased by a daughter-in-law Susan HOFFMAN, a sister Hazel PRICE and her husband Ken, a brother Charles and his wife Margaret and by brothers Gordon and Roy OSBORNE. The family would like to invite Friends for visitation at the funeral home, 60 Stanley Street, Blenheim on Friday, March 2, 2006 from 2: 00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be conducted from the funeral home by Reverend Ken POWELL of Glad Tidings Community Church on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Friends wishing to make a memorial donation in memory of Bernice, are asked to consider either the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society. It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Rene KIVINEN. Rene passed away peacefully at Saint_Joseph's Hospital on Sunday, the 26th of March 2006. Rene's boundless energy and determination were just two of the hallmarks of her life. She is greatly missed by her daughter, Erika Kivinen MILLS, her father, Onni PIIPPONEN, her brother, Veikko PIIPPONEN, her grand_son, John Paul " Jack" MILLS, II and her two "boys," Charlie and Parker. Please join us in celebrating a life lived to the fullest by a woman of remarkable character. Family and Friends will be received at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church, 1585 Yonge Street (at Heath Street), commencing at two in the afternoon on Wednesday, the fifth of April 2006, with the service to follow at three in the afternoon. The celebration of Rene's life will continue at the Toronto Lawn and Tennis Club, 44 Price Street (just east of Yonge Street, south of Summerhill Avenue). In lieu of flowers, there is preference for donations to be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
