Peacefully, at Bluewater Health-C.E.E. Site, Petrolia, on Sunday, July 2, 2006. Doctor Philip J. DEE, M.B., Ch.B., (C.C.F.P.C,) C.P.A., 77 years, of Petrolia. Faithful husband of 50 years, of Margaret (née JACKA.) Loving father of Shelley and Ron HEWITT of Forest, Jeff and Donna DEE of Edmonton, Jackie and Sang KIM of London and the late Catherine DEE (1966.) Special grandpa to Carla and Kelly DEE, Marisa, Chloe and Ben HEWITT and Max, Sam and Lily KIM. Dear brother of Ray and Marion DEE of Auckland, New Zealand, and brother-in-law of the late Elaine (2006) BARRACK and her husband Bob and Rosemary and the late Aitken McGOWAN all of Auckland, New Zealand. Also survived by special Friends, Pat and Tom TRAICHEVICH of Petrolia. Doctor DEE was an Associate Registered Accountant, graduating from the University of Auckland (1955) and a graduate of the University of Otago (New Zealand) (1963) Medical School. He and his family came to Canada in 1972 and he practiced medicine in Petrolia until 2001. Cremation has been held. A service to celebrate the life of Doctor Philip DEE will be held at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia, on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Oil Heritage District Community Centre Foundation or the Activity Fund at Lambton Meadowview Villa. Mississauga youth dies after being hit by truck

A 16-year-old Mississauga youth died in hospital yesterday, three days after a Ford F-150 pickup truck struck him from behind, knocking him into a ditch and leaving him with brain damage.
Michael KIM was walking north on Mississauga Road on Thursday at 3 p.m. when the truck, which was also travelling north, hit him. The speed limit on the road is 50 kilometres an hour.
The driver, a 47-year-old man from Cameron, has not been charged.

After a long and courageous battle with cancer, we lost our hero. Earl, loving husband of Sue, devoted father of Amy and proud Grampy of Taylor, died peacefully on Friday, December 30, 2005 surrounded by "his girls". On behalf of Earl and our Family, we would like to say thank you to our many Friends who were with us every step of the way; we could not have made this journey without your constant love and unfailing support. We would also like to take this opportunity to say thank you to three very kind, very supportive nurses: Vivian, Amanda and Michael, for their daily tender care of Earl and their generous support of our Family during this most difficult time. Thank you also to the Palliative Care Team and to the Oncology Unit at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa: Earl was in good hands. Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. N. DEVOST of Lakeridge Health and to Dr. J. KIM and his Nursing Team of Princess Margaret Hospital, for their special ability to make Earl and our Family feel like we were their only concern. With profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Adrian. Holding the hand of his wife of nearly 52 years and with family by his side, he slipped peacefully away. The big man with the big heart and big laugh is deeply missed by his devoted family. Wife and best friend, Mary KIMMEL (VAN DIJK,) son Andrew (Sue) and daughter Tessa (Lou). Grandchildren Jordan, Mikayla, Logan, Jennifer and Amanda mourn the loss of their sweet Opa. The KIMMEL family would like to thank Dr. SCHREIER and the nurses of the Palliative Care Unit at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario. Special thanks to Dr. CZARNOTA and Annette VATTER of Sunnybrook Regional Cancer Centre. Conrad passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side. A loving and devoted Papa Bear to Elaine MOOLENBURGH of Toronto and Coba MOOLENBURGH of Kitchener. He will be sadly missed by his brother Kees of Australia and close friend John TIEMENS. Predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Gwyneth Elizabeth (Betty LEWIN,) the result of a tragic motor vehicle accident in 1985 by his cousin and best friend Adrian KIMMEL and siblings Coba, Betty, Adrian, Johan, Jaap and Marius. He was admired and loved by his many relatives in Holland and Ontario, his Oriole Parkway neighbours and Friends. Conrad will be remembered as a proud gentleman of great strength, courage and endurance. He had a passion for life, lived it to the fullest and will be greatly missed. Memorial donations in Conrad's name to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Cremation has taken place. Also, step-grandchildren Shawn ESKITT (Courtney and their daughter Hunter) and Terry SMY (Jim and their sons Austin and Dorian). Also, sisters Muriel (George GROOME) of Montreal, Effie KIMMERLY of Oshawa, Grace HARRIS of London, Ontario, Leslie McNUTT of Banff, brother John (Shirley SAMPSON/SAMSON) of Coles Island, New Brunswick and brother-in-law Walter LOGAN of Regina plus many nieces and nephews. Born in Toronto July 5, 1925 Tom's journey through life was rich and varied rising out of his passion and commitment to the United Church and his vision of hope using his skills of sharing and teaching. He was an agriculturist, journalist, facilitator and adult educator. Tom was most in his element when he was surrounded by people working towards a common goal. Along his life's road, Tom formed countless deep and lasting relationships and touched the lives of people all over the world. A memorial service will be held at First United Church 721 Bernard Ave. in Kelowna on Thursday March 2nd at 1: 00 p.m. with Reverend Helen Hobbs and Rev. Walter Logan officiating. Predeceased by his wife, Gay and a son, Andrew who he has sorely missed, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 3, 2006, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. A devoted, loving and jovial father to Rosalind (Pierre) COUTU, Tom (Sandy) KIMPEL, and Martha (John) OLTHUIS and a fantastic "poppa" to his grandchildren Chris, Adi, Jon, Jessica, Melissa, Tanner, Michael and Nicole and dear friend to Joan ROBLIN. He had a wide circle of Friends who were lucky to enjoy his quick wit and entertaining ways. Although he was an independent and active businessman who owned and operated his own veterinary pharmaceutical company (K-Vet) for most of his career, he was active in numerous other endeavors including a long tenure with the Canadian Figure Skating Association, Chairman of Conestoga College and many community associations. Never one to be bored, he thrived on family ski vacations, summers at the cottage, bridge clubs, interesting and distant travels and always dabbling in something. Visitation will be held at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrew's Street, Cambridge, 519-621-1650 on Monday from 7-9 p.m. Memorial services will be conducted at Wesley United Church, 6 Cambridge Street, Cambridge on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. The family would appreciate donations to be made to the Canadian Lung Association or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Passed away peacefully with family at his side following a brief but brave battle with lung cancer. Martin was a sensitive and compassionate man whose quiet strength and love of life, family and Friends touched all those close to him. Alida was born July 19, 1918 in Wingene, W.F., Belgium, daughter of the late Rene VAN DAELE and the late former Maria POLLEFLIET. Predeceased by her beloved husband Victor VAN DE WIELE (January 3, 1993.) Much loved mother of: Richard VAN DE WIELE and his wife Simonne of R.R.#1 Delhi; Jean and her husband Jerome DONCK of R.R.#1 Courtland; Elaine and her husband Boyd ARMSTRONG of Tillsonburg.
