KEYES, born May 28, 1921, died peacefully
on June 26, 2006 with family at his side. He was survived for
one week by his loving wife of 59 years Roberta Jean
KEYES
(McQUEEN.)
Survived by three loving children: son and daughter-in-law, Robert
and Deborah; daughters Nancy and Barbara; and grandchildren Lauren
and Douglas as well as family in Winnipeg, Manitoba; St. Catharines,
Ontario; and California. Educated at the University of Manitoba
(B. Commerce) and University of Toronto (M. Commerce), Bob held
a number of different positions throughout his life including
Chief Economist for Western Canada Steel and Cominco Canada. He
was also active in teaching economics at Simon Fraser University.
He was a veteran of World War 2. Throughout his life he was an
avid reader, follower of political affairs and gardener, having
a particular love for roses. At its peak, his garden contained
several hundred varieties of rose bushes. He was very proud of
his family and all their accomplishments. He bore his several
years of increasing health problems with great dignity and courage.
He was a gentleman's gentleman. His suffering is over and his
soul now rests in peace. The family wishes to thank Doctor Jennifer
WALKER and the Kiwanis Care Centre staff for their care. Special
thanks to Vanja for all her generosity, care and attention. There
will be a private celebration of his life at a later date. If
desired, donations in his memory may be made to the British Columbia
Cancer Agency or the British Columbia Heart and Stroke Foundation.

(McQUEEN), born August 17, 1922, died
suddenly on July 3, 2006. She was predeceased one week by her
loving husband of 59 years, Robert Wyatt
KEYES. Survived by three
loving children: son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Deborah
daughters Nancy and Barbara; and grandchildren Lauren and Douglas
as well as family in Winnipeg, Manitoba; Gimli, Manitoba; and
California. Educated at the University of Manitoba (M.D.) and
University of Toronto (F.R.C.P.(C), Child and Adolescent Psychiatry),
Roberta was the Director of Mental Health for the City of Vancouver
for many years. Most recently she was a consultant in child and
adolescent psychiatry for the North Shore Mental Health Department.
Roberta was a caring individual who always put the needs of those
around her ahead of herself. She was an avid reader, needlepoint
worker and indoor gardener. She was a kind person and a gentle
soul. Despite several years of increasing health problems her
positive attitude and caring for others remained an example for
all those who knew her. She touched many lives during her time
with us and she will be greatly missed. Her suffering is over
and her soul now rests in peace. The family wishes to thank Doctor Jennifer
Walker, Home Care Nurses, Home Support staff and Royalty staff
for their wonder ful and steadfast care. Special thanks to Vanja
and Barbara '2' for their extra love and care. There will be
a private celebration of her life at a later date. If desired,

Hospice in Calgary, Alberta on Sunday, April 30th, 2006 at the
age of 60 years, with his loving wife and best friend of thirty-one
years Patricia, and their two sons Michael and Ryan by his side.
Ted is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kerrie (Jeff) and
Tracy (Jay); grandchildren, Josh and Cody. He is also survived
by the Hetherington family, Arthur and Peggy, Ann, Robert, Heather
(Scott), and Elizabeth; his sisters, Barbara (Harry), Margaret
