It is with great sadness we announce the unexpected passing of
Dorothy KAHANSKY.
She passed away peacefully in her sleep on
Sunday, March 26, 2006. A committed personal assistant for more
than 30 years to Murray
MENKES, she took great honour in her
role. For many years Dorothy delighted in bowling and playing
Maj Jon. She loved taking her best friend, her dog, Wilbur out
for walks and laughing at his unique ways. She took great pride
in her volunteer work at the Baycrest Centre for over 40 years.
Dorothy will be dearly missed by many Friends and family. She
is survived by her sister Bessie, sons Mark and Billy, six grandchildren
and her best friend Wilbur. Graveside service Monday, March 27,
2006, 1 p.m. at Lambton Mills Cemetery (Royal York south of Eglinton).

Died peacefully at Sunnybrook and Women's College Health Sciences
Centre after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband
of Helina. Cherished father of Tuula (Marcelino), Mark (Liisa)
and Paul (Karen). Loving Ukki of Léa, Mathieu, Kyle, Paige, Cole,
Katie and a baby on the way. Dear brother of Sylvi and Juha in
Finland. Also sadly missed by other relatives and Friends in
Finland and Canada. Friends are welcome to attend a memorial
visitation to be held at the York Cemetery Visitation, Chapel
and Reception Centre, 160 Beecroft Road, Toronto, 416-221-3404,
on Saturday, March 4, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. A private family funeral
will be arranged at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer
Society would be appreciated by the family.

Kathaleen will be greatly missed by all. Kathaleen was born in
Hampton, New Jersey, in 1920. After high school, she received
an R.N. and then served in the U.S. Navy as a nurse during World
War 2. Following the war, she earned a B.A. and M.A. from Boston
University on the G.I. Bill. David and Kathaleen met in 1954,
where they raised their family. Kathaleen was an active member
of the American Women's Club of Montreal. In 1993, Kathaleen
and David retired to Oakville to be closer to Jeff and his family.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday March 22, 2006 at
11: 00 a.m. at Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to
the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
