Family and Friends will be
received at the Bernardo Funeral Home, 2960 Dufferin St. (two
streets south of Lawrence Ave.), on Monday from 6-9 p.m. and
Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated
on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at St. Charles Borromeo Church
(Dufferin St. and Lawrence Ave.) Interment to follow at Prospect
Cemetery (St. Clair Ave., east of Caledonia Rd.)

DOUCETTE
In loving memory of Joanne Doucette (née Dickinson) who passed away Tuesday,
March 14, 2006 at the Wikwemikong Nursing Home. Joanne was born in Richmond,
Surrey, England in 1922. She arrived in Canada on May 31, 1959. She was a
member of the British Army Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service
(ATS) and
served as a driver during the 1939 - 45 Second World War. She was an active
member of the South East Manitoulin Veterans' group and had the honour of
placing the wreath at the Cenotaph on a number of occasions. Joanne was a
member of the Tehkummah Triangle Club and a dedicated community worker. She
was responsible for organizing, planting and maintaining the Tehkummah
Community Flower Garden which also contains memorial plaques to First and
Second World War veterans. She spent many hours baking and preparing "goody"
bags for those who were sick or shut-in and delivering them, not only to
private homes but to the various nursing homes on the Island. She was a
faithful servant, serving God and her neighbours. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated at Our Lady of Canada Church on Monday, March 27, 2006 at 11 am.
Father Foliot officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joanne
to the Wikwemikong Nursing Home and their Hospital Bed Fund would be

Centre in her 99th year. Longtime resident of Islington, prior
to moving to Oakville. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving
mother of Shirley

of Stacey JOANOVIC and her husband Vladimir, Melissa, Rebecca
and Stephen, and great-grandma of Elizabeth. Visitation at Oakview
Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east
of Kerr St.) from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service Thursday
in the chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated
by the family.
