Of Tobermory died at the Lions head Hospital on Sunday, April 23, 2006 in his 78th year. Beloved husband and buddy of 50 years to Christina (WOODGER) JEFFERIES. Even now that he is gone, I have him still in the richness of my memories. Jeff is also survived by his brother Thomas of Cape Town, South Africa and brother-in-law James (Pat) WOODGER of Downsview. He was predeceased by his parents Mary (TREVITHICK) and Monteque JEFFERIES and sister Barbara. In accordance with Jeff's wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Mr. JEFFERSON was a Veteran having served with the Royal Canadian Navy, was active with both Mission Services and Community Habitat of London and was honored to have received the Golden Jubilee award from the Governor General of Canada. (JEFFERY) RICHARDSON of Bayfield and formerly of Saint Marys. Beloved wife of the late Eric V. RICHARDSON (1997.) Loving mother of Mark RICHARDSON and wife Vicki of Parry Sound and their children Sean Eric and Jeffery Robert. Lisa TAPLEY and husband Allen of Lakeside and son Ryan Thomas. Dear sister of Gary JEFFERY and wife Beverley of London, Barb SCHILLING and husband Gordon of Abbotsford, British Columbia. Shirley was a long time employee of the Perth County Board of Education, 25 years service at Saint Marys D.C.V.I., a member of the Huron County Quilting Guild winning many awards for her beautiful work. Maurine was the daughter of the late G. William and F. Pearl NETHERCOTT of Norwich, Ontario. Maurine took her elementary and High School education in Norwich. She worked for several years at "Stelco" in Hamilton. Maurine was an accomplished singer, and sang for many years in the Norwich and Maple Grove United Church Choirs. Maurine was very proud of her early heritage through the Nethercott, Ronson, McWebb and Smith "clans." In his 74th year, peacefully at home in Picton, Ontario, with his beloved long-time partner and friend Marian OLSSEN and brother Peter James by his side, courageously lost his life to cancer on February 20, 2006. Survived by his 6 children, Frances KENNEDY of Port Stanley, Patricia BUCKLEY, Chris (Jocelyn) BUCKLEY, Sheila (Peter) VAISLER, Barbara JEFFERY, all of London, Peter (Colleen) BUCKLEY of Sarnia and their mother Myra KNECHT of London. Proud grandfather of 15: Matthew, Christopher, Peter James, Joseph, Sarah, Michael, Trevor, Hailey, Melanie, Emily, Tyler, Jesse, Peter Boniface II, Adelaide and his angel Travis. Predeceased by his parents Winifred and Peter BUCKLEY of Toronto. Devoted brother to Peter James (Pat) BUCKLEY of Barrie and Joan (Paul) LEGGE of London and much loved Uncle Joe to 13 nieces and nephews. After an extensive early career in time study and engineering with several manufacturers, he joined Woods Gordon in 1969, and became a partner in 1970. He retired as a Senior Partner in 1990 (then Ernst and Young). He was a part-time cattleman, drummer and band manager in the Lucknow area from 1970-1973, and standard bred horseman in Poplar Hill, 1974-1984. In his spare time, he graduated from the Executive M.B.A. Program at University of Toronto in 1991. In 1995 he was licensed as a financial advisor, a role he excelled in until his passing. He was devoted to his Catholic faith, most recently with his service to St. Gregory the Great Parish in Picton as Chair of the Building Fund and Chair of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. He enjoyed and was deeply involved in the town of Picton, acting as fundraiser for local political campaigns, and making sure all knew of the beauty and history of the County. He spoke often of his appreciation of all of his Friends, clients and associates for their continuous support. Joe had a love of life and a belief that life was a gift to be grateful for and cherished, an outlook that touched all who knew him. He lived his life this way until the end. Interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Toronto, April 22, 2006 at noon.

SUTHERLAND, Nancy Elizabeth
Nancy left us on Saturday afternoon, May 13, 2006, after an epic 3 year fight with ovarian cancer and all its complications. She was one tough lady and there was no quit in her. Nancy was the beloved wife and best friend of Hector, the Mother of Linda, Colin (Vanessa), Anne, Brian and Jane (Shawn CARTER). She also leaves her cherished grandchildren, Devon and Keith SUTHERLAND Lindsay and Jenna CARTER. Cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will be held later in the week. A memorial "foundation" in Nancy's name is being established and contributions can be sent to: Division of Gynecologic Oncology, Queen's University, Kingston K7L 3N6 c/o Dr. John F. JEFFREY, Associate Dean, Clinical. All donations will be acknowledged and follow-up reports will be sent. Our sincere thanks go to Doctor JEFFREY and his team at Kingston General and the Regional Cancer Centre. Died peacefully in Thornbury, Ontario on Saturday, February 11, 2006, in his 91st year. son of the late Colin H. and Grace JEFFREY) SHIRRIFF of Toronto. Husband of the late Kathleen PALLESEN of Calgary and latterly of Ouilla McLEOD of Toronto and predeceased by a step-daughter, Linda McLEOD. Loved by his children Peter (Doris) SHIRRIFF and Carol (Bill) STRATTON and their children. Remembered with great affection by his only surviving brother Colin, family members and Friends. He had five brothers and sisters, Mina (Stan LANDELL,) Frank (Barbara SLOAN,) Murray (Margaret FISHER), Anna (Lloyd JACKES) and Colin (Joan IRELAND). Jeffrey served as an Infantry Officer in World War 2 and then spent many years in the food business, mainly in sales and marketing. During those years he served a term as President of Goodwill Industries and assisted Ouilla in her extensive work with Goodwill. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and interment of Jeffrey's cremated remains will take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto and a private celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
