Gold Medalist). Served with the Royal Canadian Navy (R.C.N.V.R.)
(1939-1945) retiring with the rank of Lieutenant-Commander. Joined
Bowater Mersey, Liverpool, in 1950; General Manager of Bowater
Newfoundland Ltd., Cornerbrook, Newfoundland (1965-1968); Vice-President
of Sales and later President and Chief Executive Officer of Bowater
North America Corporation, Greenwich, Connecticut. (1968-1984),
and Chairman until his retirement in 1984. During his working
career Hugh served on many Corporate Boards of Directors and
Advisory Committees. Throughout his life he devoted many hours
to chairing and serving on Boards for educational, civic and
charitable organizations in Canada and the United States. Funeral
Service to take place on Friday, April 21 at 11: 00 a.m. Trinity
Anglican Church, Liverpool, Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers,

miss their beloved Papa. Tom was the former medical director
of the Workers Compensation Board Downsview Rehab Center and
the team doctor for the Canadian National Soccer Team as well
as numerous professional and amateur teams. He is a member of
the Canadian Olympic and Soccer Halls of Fame. Charitable contributions
can be made to the Center for Research in Neurodegenerative Disease
at the University of Toronto.

It is with great sadness that the family of John (Jack) Henry
ANNING announces the passing of their father at Marshall Gowland
Manor peacefully with his family at his side, on Friday, June 16,
2006, in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Ina
(RIDDELL)
ANNING (2004.) Jack and Ina were happily married for 65 years.
He will be sadly missed by his children and their spouses, Jane
and Jim GALLIE,

Bill ANNING all of Sarnia, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Born in Kincardine, Ontario, he came to Sarnia as a youngster.
Jack was a member of Liberty Lodge #419 Ancient, Free and Accepted
Masons and the Mocha Shrine. Predeceased by his siblings Elizabeth,
Lillian, Greta and Dorothy. The funeral service will be held
on Monday, June 19, 2006 at 12: 00 noon from Smith Funeral Home,
1576 London Line, Sarnia. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.
