Peacefully, in his 99th year, on April 12th, 2006 in Toronto. Beloved husband of the late Annie Ellen (née DAVIS.) Dear father of Alice Marion HYND and the late George Ronald BROWNE. Dear grandfather of Douglas (Janet), Darrell (Heidi), Nancy Munro (Bob,) Mary-Ellen HYND, Robert HYND (Donna,) and Marlene HYND (Neal KERR.) Adoring grandfather of 10 loving great-grandchildren. Of Goderich, Ontario, passed away suddenly at the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich, on Thursday, December 21, 2006 in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Helen (HYNDMAN) GARD for 61 years. Dear father of Nancy (Norman) PICKELL of Goderich and Stephen (Sharon) GARD of Beaumont, Alberta. Loving grandfather of Bryan, Colin (Sholeh) and Shannon PICKELL, Corey (Rachel,) Lyndon, Gerrett, Tyler and Bryce GARD. Loving great-grandfather of Emily, Jaden and Tristan. Fondly remembered by his sister Shirley (William) BOWES and many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. Peacefully at Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital Continuing Care Unit A on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 in her 95th year. A resident of R.R.#4, Saint Thomas and formerly of Sparta and Strathroy. Beloved wife of the late Norman H. OILLE (1990.) Loved mother of Marlene KOSYNSKI and former son-in-law Archie. Dear grandmother of Wayne (Karen) and Ronda (Bill) and so admired by Kevin. Great-grandmother of Brent, Amanda, Brandon and Katryna. Also survived by two nephews Carl (Shirley) and Gerry (Sharon) and a niece Joan (Russ). Born in Southwold Township on November 2, 1912 daughter of the late Mason and Jean (GLENN) HYNDMAN. A private family service was held on Friday, December 22, 2006. Cremation followed the service. Interment of ashes in the Quaker Cemetery, Sparta at a later date. Rev. Norman JONES, officiated. Passed away peacefully on Friday October 13, 2006 at the General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood in her 89th year. Audrey of Collingwood, formerly of Willowdale, beloved wife of Sydney. Loving mother of Beverley and her late husband Gary HENDRICKS of Barrie and Lynda and her husband Derry HYNDMAN of Wasaga Beach. Cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Survived by her brother William COOK. Predeceased by her sister Josephine COOK and brothers George and Melville COOK. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 6th Line, Collingwood on Saturday October 21, 2006 at 2 o‘clock. HYNDMAN, Peter Stewart (October 9, 1941-september 7, 2006)
Peter died peacefully at home September 7, 2006, after a five month long courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Maureen (FAUMAN;) daughters Tory (Michael GOLDSWORTHY) Nancy; Bryn (Whitney DUNN;) son James; granddaughter Georgia GOLDSWORTHY; brother Louis D. HYNDMAN, Q.C., O.C. (Mary;) niece Jennifer; nephews Peter and Bruce; Maureen's daughters Laura FAUMAN (Andrew L. NEMETH); Sheila FAUMAN. Peter was born in Edmonton and educated there and at Saint Andrew's College, Ontario. He graduated from the University of Alberta with an Honours degree and Gold Medal in Commerce. From 1962 to 1963 he was a Knox Fellow in Economics at Harvard University. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Law degree in 1966 and commenced articles at Farris and Company. In 1970 he was a founding partner in the law firm Fraser Hyndman. Peter loved the outdoors, particularly the rivers and streams where he enjoyed his passion for fly-fishing. He was a founding director of the Pacific Salmon Society and the Steelhead Society and helped in the fight to save the Skagit River. Active in politics all his life, he was president of the Progressive Conservative Party of British Columbia from 1970 to 1972 and from 1975 to 1977 he was president of the British Columbia Social Credit Party. Peter was Legislature 1979 and Consumer from 1980 elected to the Provincial for Vancouver South in served as Minister of and Corporate Affairs to 1982. He returned to private law practice in 1983 and in 1990 joined The Loewen Group Inc. as Senior Vice-President, Law and Corporate Secretary. In 1998 he became Associate Counsel with Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP where he continued his practice to this date. Peter was also one of the founding directors of Arctic Glacier Income Trust in 1996, remaining on its board since then. Currently he was active in the British Columbia Liberal Party and was co-chair of the Vancouver Civic NPA election team in November, 2005. A celebration of Peter's life will be held at 5: 00 p.m., Tuesday, September 12th at Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club, 4300 S.W. Marine Dr., Vancouver. Passed away at the Sara Vista Nursing Centre, Elmvale, on Friday, January 20, 2006. Cedric COLPITTS of Balm Beach, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor Ailene LANE. Dear father of Karen and her husband Philip SILVER of Midland. Brother of Leonard (Ruth) COLPITTS, Sylvia and the late Ron ERRETT, Ross (Carol) COLPITTS, the late Ruth and her husband George JEOFFROY, the late Harold and his wife Hazel, the late Robert and his wife Dorothy, the late Stanley, the late Lillian and her husband Jack CLAY, and the late Janet and her husband Jim HYNDMAN. Beloved husband of Jean (DODRIDGE,) loving father of Patricia (Wayne) GRAY/GREY of Omemee Ontario, Bill (Noreen) NUNN of Rigaud Quebec, Heather NUNN (Laurie EISNER) of Richmond Hill and Donna (Dave) MONIE of Etobicoke, dear grandfather of Kimberly, Tammy, Jason (Kim), Christien, Natalie, Ryan, Tyler, Courtney, Danielle and Michelle, great grandfather of Annakha, brother of Jim (Betty) NUNN of Midland, brother-in-law of Don (Marjorie) DODRIDGE, Ross (Marie) DODRIDGE and Muriel LAMONTAGNE all of Welland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. NUNN was predeceased by his parents Sidney and Winnifred NUNN and a brother Ken NUNN. Born in Toronto he lived in Rexdale and then moved to Wainfleet and most recently Welland. He worked at General Electric for over 40 years from where he retired in 1985. He was a member of the Wainfleet Congregational Christian Church and was an active member of the Rexdale Lacrosse League. The NUNN family will receive visitors at the Port Colborne Chapel of Davidson Funeral Homes 135 Clarence St. on Friday 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday April 29, 2006 at 2: 00 p.m. with Rev. Died peacefully in her 61st year at London Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, May 20th, 2006, with family at her bedside. Cherished and beloved wife of Lawrence (Larry) KINLIN. Step-mother of Deborah KINLIN- HYNES, Michelle OWEN, William (Bill) KINLIN and Nerina HOFFMAN, Tracey and Robert (Bob) MITCHELL, Carrie KINLIN and Ryan PAYNE and Daryl KINLIN. Dear daughter of Mina (Mini) LANGENHORST. Dear sister of Alfred LANGENHORST. Loving Oma of Kierstin, Victoria, Colin, Shelby, Shayna, Hannah, Danielle, Owen, Carson and Kamden. Irmie was recognized in 1984 and 1986 for her financial accomplishments in Who's Who of Canadian Women. Irmie had an extensive financial career with Continental Bank in Montreal and Toronto. As a volunteer, Irmie gave generously of her time as a Board Member of Sarnia Lambton Centre for Children and Youth, a founding Board Member of Weldon Park Academy London, a volunteer at C.P.R.I. London, and as a vice-president of Big Brothers and Sisters of Montreal. She had a deep love for animals, especially horses. HARVEY, James Edward (October 13, 1937-January 24, 2006)
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our dearly loved James, at home surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Fern (HYNES;) devoted and loving father of Kevin (wife Maria) of Whitby, daughter Lynn and step-daughter Melanie BAINES, both of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Sara and Ryan HARVEY. Predeceased by his parents Clifford and Kathleen WRIGHT- HARVEY. He will also be missed and fondly remembered by his many Friends and relatives. James spent his career on Bay Street as a Professional Stock Trader, where he enjoyed the excitement and challenges of the market and whereby he developed and maintained many enduring Friendships to this day. The family would like to thank Dr. Rob NEVIN and his wife Nancy of the Lockwood Clinic Doctors TANNOCK and BERTHOLD and their team at Princess Margaret Hospital; Doctors HUSSEIN and SINGH along with nurses Helen and Anna, from the Temmy Latner Palliative Centre for their compassionate and exceptional care.
