PFEIFFER,
Rolf
J.
Following his wishes, Rolf entered into eternity at age 58, at
home, surrounded by his family. For a year, while ill with cancer,
Rolf accepted that he was preparing for his final journey. An
artist, writer, philosopher, poet and Schlaraffen, Rolf was constantly
questioning and defining the world around him. A world traveller,
he will be tenderly missed by his wife and partner Helene, whom
he met on a Kibbutz in Israel. Deeply loved by the pride of his
life, his three sons, Ryan, Oreste and Eugene (Gene), who will
forever treasure his teachings. He will be remembered by his
brother Kari and nieces Claudia and Simone, mother-in-law Eugenia
HUSAK, sister-in-law Stephanie, nieces Irene and Lesia, and nephew
Marko. He will be sadly missed by his hometown Friends in Thun
Switzerland, British Columbia, and abroad. For the years, memories,
adventures and love, thank you, danke, merci, toda raba and dyakoyou.
"Lulu"! Friends may call at the Turner and Porter "Peel" Chapel,
2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy. 10, N. of the Queen Elizabeth
Way) on Monday, January 16, 2006 from 4-8 p.m. If desired, donations

It is with great sadness that Bryan's family announce his passing
unexpectedly Thursday April 13 at Oakville, on his way outdoors
for the day. He was in his 90th year. After moving to Canada
in 1954, he worked for Gulf Oil and Atomic Energy of Canada.
He was a true gentleman. Kind and generous of heart, Bryan was
active in scouting in England and Canada. He was a volunteer
with Saint_John's Ambulance, a distress line in Mississauga, the
Canadian National Institute for the Blind and an active member
of his church. Numerous charitable causes benefited from his
philanthropic spirit. He liked people and they responded to his
warmth. He had a sense of humor, and liked to tell a story. He
enjoyed travel, loved the outdoors, and had an enduring fondness
for the English lake district of his youth. His curiosity, objectivity,
and tolerance were perennial. Bryan was the loving husband of
Wilma Hussey. Predeceased by his first wife Ruth in 1984, he
will be sadly missed by their children Christopher (Debbie),

It is with great sadness that Bryan's family announce his passing
unexpectedly Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Oakville, on his way
outdoors for the day. He was in his 90th year. After moving to
Canada in 1954, he worked for Gulf Oil and Atomic Energy of Canada.
He was a true gentleman. Kind and generous of heart, Bryan was
active in scouting in England and Canada. He was a volunteer
with Saint_John's Ambulance, adistress line in Mississauga, the
Canadian National Institute for the Blind and an active member
of his church. Numerous charitable causes benefited from his
philanthropic spirit. He liked people and they responded to his
warmth. He had a sense of humour, and liked to tell a story.
He enjoyed travel, loved the outdoors, and had an enduring fondness
for the English lake district of his youth. His curiosity, objectivity,
and tolerance were perennial. Bryan was the loving husband of
Wilma HUSSEY.
Predeceased by his first wife
Ruth in 1984, he
will be sadly missed by their children Christopher (Debbie),
Nigel (Carol), Adrian (Susan), Miriam (Doug) and step-daughter
Jane (Dan). He was a grandfather to 9 and great-grandfather to
7. Friends will be received at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore
Rd. West (1 block east of Kerr), Oakville, 905-842-2252, on Sunday
from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 12 to 2 p.m. Funeral Service
to be held in the chapel at 2 p.m. For those whish, memorial
donations may be made to the Lions Foundation Canada, Dog Guides
(www.dogguides.com, 1-800-768-3030).
