It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernice J. ODORICO at Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday, November 11, 2006 in her 69th year. Beloved wife of Enrico for over 48 years. Loved mother of Lisa ODORICO of Woodstock. Dear cousin of Walter RUDNICKI and Helen GEOFFREY of London, and Caroline HUDDLEMYER of Indiana. Also survived by several other cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother Mary RUDNICKI, her father Stephen RUDNICKI and her sister Julie RUDNICKI. Bernice was a teacher for 38 years, and spent the majority of those years teaching with the Oxford County Roman Catholic School Board. She was also a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Women's League for many years. She loved animals of all kinds, and in her younger years, was an active member of the Oxford Countey Kennel Club. She had a passion for music and loved to share this with her family, Friends and her students. She will be lovingly remembered, and deeply missed. Friends may call at the R.D. In his 74th year, slipped away to meet his maker on April 3, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his mother Isobel Reid Hall LINESS, in 1974 and his father Edward (Scotty) Liness in 1975. Jim is survived by his brother Ian John LINESS of Bridgenorth, his sister Christine LINESS- MURCHISON of Peterborough, and his dear friend, caregiver and long time companion, Lydia WISSEKERKE of North York (Toronto.) He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Donna TUGWOOD (Bob) of Bowmanville, Leslee HUDDLESTONE of Peterborough, Scott MURCHISON (Vicki) of Courtice, and great-nieces Holly, Brooke, Tara, Jill, Breanne and Nicholas, a brand new great-nephew. Also will be sadly missed by his doctor, friend and baseball buddy, Tom BACHER. Jim, a sportsman and a gentleman, and a great teacher of sports was affiliated with pro and semi-pro baseball in the Toronto area for many years as a player, coach and manager. He also was affiliated with the Harness Racing Association, owning, training and driving in Toronto, Barrie, Peterborough, Orangeville and in the States until a training accident cut his career short. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 8th at 11: 00 a.m. in the Carfrae Chapel of the Mount Pleasant Mausoleum and Cemetery, 375 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto, (enter the Yonge or Mt. Pleasant entrance and follow the solid yellow line). In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Lieutenant in the R.C.N.(R). B.A. University of Toronto and M.A. York U in the then new field of Environmental Studies. Taught at Durham College for 26 years beginning the year it opened in 1967. Member of the Royal Canadian Military Institute. A private memorial reception will be held July 22.

As we come to terms with the loss of our beloved husband, father and grandpa, we are grateful for the love and support shown to us. Thank you to Rob FAWCETT and his staff for their gentle guidance and to Evelyn DARGAVEL, Kenton HUDSON; Reverend Charles JACKSON, Burt HALE, Barbara SHIER for their gift of music at the service and to the Pallbearers, Honourary Palbearers and Flowerbearers, we say thank you. EBY, Herbert Clifton
Herbert Clifton EBY of Feversham passed away in Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre on January 7, 2006 in his 90th year.
Herb was born in Elsinor, Ontario on August 8, 1916, the son of the late Gideon and Georgina EBY. In 1926 the EBY's left the farm at Elsinor and moved to Feversham and purchased what was to become known as "Eby's Store".
Herb aftended public and continuation school in Feversham and in 1936 he married Madge DAVIDSON. The young couple resided in the apartment above the family store and Herb worked for his father. In 1937 their son Stephen was born and shortly thereafter, Herb, Madge and baby moved to Barrie where he worked at a hardware store and drove a taxi.
In 1946 they returned to Feversham to take over the general store as the elder EBY's moved to Walters Falls. In 1950 their daughter, Sally May, was born. Herb purchased an insurance business from Norman HARRIS and for the next 15 years he and Madge operated the store and the insurance business.
Herb was an active member of many community organizations and as many of his generation was involved in getting what is now known as the "old community centre" established. He enjoyed many years in the bowling league there. The church was an important part of the EBY's life and for 40 years Herb was an Elder at Burns' Presbyterian Church in Feversham.
1986 was a landmark year for the EBY's as they celebrated 40 years of operating the store, their 50th wedding anniversary and made the decision to sell the store and retire to the home they purchased in the village.
Left to mourn his passing are Madge, his wife of 69 years, son Steve, daughter Sally, son-in-law John HOOD, grand_son Kevin HOOD, sisters Marguerite FORSYTH and Marion DOBIE as well as many nieces, nephews and Friends.
A funeral service was held in Burns Church on January 10, 2006 with Dr. David GLADWELL officiating. Pallbearers were Kevin HOOD, Todd ARMSTRONG, Scott ARDIEL, Bill BRISTOW, Wayne DAVIDSON, Lonnie HUDSON. Honourary pallbearers were Elmer MULLIN, Bruce DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS, Lloyd HUDSON, Burt HALE and Murray LASHOVICH.
Flowerbearers were Reta PHILLIPS, Bonnie DAVIDSON, Carol WAGSTAFF, Mary Lynn McCAULEY, Pamela BRISTOW, Cindi ALLEN, April HUBBARD, Lois PLUMMER and Jane ARDIEL. An excellent eulogy was provided by Burt HALE and a reading by John HOOD. Evelyn DARGAVEL and Kenton HUDSON shared their gift of music and Burt HALE, Rev. Charles JACKSON, Barbara SHIER and Kenton HUDSON sang "Because He Lives". Following the service a large crowd enjoyed the wonderful lunch organized by the Osprey Museum Committee assisted by Friends in the community.
Herb will be remembered for his quiet, gentle manner and he will be missed walking the streets of Feversham with his wee dog Lori.

Brother-in-law of Craig and Joan SMITH of Wallaceburg. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. "Our loving dad, husband and friend" Clifton Russell (Kip) LAUR, lifelong resident of the Tillsonburg area, passed away, peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre, on July 2nd, 2006 in his 83rd year. He leaves behind his dear wife, best friend of 60 years Lydia (née STANAT) and his children: Sharon DEMEYERE and her partner Jim THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, Catherine BENNETT and David LAUR, all of Tillsonburg. He will be fondly remembered by his loving grandchildren: Carrie SHOLDICE and husband Craig, Paul DEMEYERE and his partner Kerri HUDSON, Alison BENNETT, Brett BENNETT and his partner Christina MEEATS, Michael and Karly LAUR. Kip was also the adoring great-grandfather of: Dustin and Clint WALKER and Callie SHOLDICE. He will also be missed by his sister Doris HOOKER and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Murray and Josephine LAUR and by his sister Irene SYKES and by his brother Sheldon LAUR. Following his retirement after 26 dedicated years at Gilvesy Construction, Tillsonburg, in 1982, Kip enjoyed spending time at the cottage in Long Point where he loved to fish and golf. Loving grandfather of Wayne and Jennifer MacDOUGALL of Kentucky, U.S.A., Lisa and Gary SMITH of Parkhill, Julie and Terry JARIOTT and Lorna MacDOUGALL of Stratford, Alison and Geff STEWARD/STEWART/STUART of Kingsville and Michael DOWLING of Hanover. Lovingly remembered by thirteen great-grandchildren. Gerry was a dedicated caregiver at the London Psychiatric Hospital and proudly served with the British Merchant Navy and the Royal Air Force in World War II. Quietly on June 9, 2006 after fighting a lengthy battle with cancer. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Dick and her very best friend, Cathy PROWSE, as well as her many Friends in Toronto and Montreal. (Bud) MacKAY and sister to Jean SAVORY of Montreal and the late Kenneth STOREY. Jacqueline was a loving mother and will be dearly missed by her children Bruce, Susan, Thomas and Mary Jane. Jacqueline's eight grandchildren will fondly recall their elegant, caring grandmother. The family wish to express their sincere gratitude to Doctor Jean HUDSON of Credit Valley Hospital for her kind and thoughtful care to Jacqueline.
