Passed away peacefully, in Toronto, on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Theda (née MacKELLAR.) Loving father of Catherine Ann and her husband John FENN, Craig Edward HUCAL and his wife Anne. Dear grandfather of Michael Edward and Catherine "Catie" Alice FENN and Andrew Craig and Cristina Marjorie Jacqueline HUCAL. Brother of the late Olga (Nick,) Nettie, Paul (Clare), Alice (Lyman) and Walter. Brother-in-law of Ian MacKELLAR (Eileen,) and the late Catherine "Kitty" PRATT (William "LeRoy"). Uncle of Ron RUDAN, Angela STRAKER, Paul Jr., Mike PRATT and Debi PRATT, Sandy, Jim MacKELLAR, Lori DEGAGNE and Scott MacKELLAR. The family wish to thank all the staff of the Isabel and Arthur Meighen Manor Nursing Home, especially Abdul, Sharon, Pablita and Sylvester for their special care and attention. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at one o'clock. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery followed by a reception in the funeral home lounge. Passed away peacefully on Thursday December 21, 2006 at Toronto East General Hospital at the age of 72. Predeceased by her dearly loved husband Frederick Roy. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Wendy and her husband Herb HUCK, Michael and his wife Heather QUANCE, Jill and her husband Tony STEVENSON. Cherished grandmother of Heather, Colleen, Tyler, Graham and Erin. Friends may call on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). Loved mother of Diana EXNER and her husband Tom of Burlington, the late Christine HOWARD, and mother-in-law of Darrell HOWARD of Burlington. Cherished grandmother of Ryan and Stephanie HOWARD. HUCKERBY, Roderick Brian McKnee
On January 22, 2006, Rod HUCKERBY, age 53, died peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Rod was predeceased by his father, Jack. He will be missed by his mother, Dorothy, his brother Warner, his niece Gail, his extended family, and Friends. Rod succumbed to cancer, but those who knew him also know that he fought it all the way to the end. During his battle with cancer, the strength of his spirit set an example and won respect from all. At Rod's request, there was no funeral. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service and interment are planned for the spring. Condolences may be sent to imacanuck@hotmail.com

DOAN, Lylamae
With quiet strength and dignity, surrounded by the loving arms of family and Friends, Lylamae DOAN passed away peacefully at home in Rondeau Park on Friday, September 15, 2006. Despite her own illness, she always put others before herself. She will be sadly missed by her best friend and husband Elvyn DOAN, their children Gord and Tom McKENZIE of Calgary, Lorraine and Russ OUIMETTE of Saint Thomas, Ruth and Dan HUCKLE of Shrewsbury, Pauline and John HINDS of Newcastle, Suzanne and Dan LOZON of Merlin, Kathie Wingrove SMITH and Carl SMITH of Morpeth, and Patty CROW of Saint Thomas. Also missed by her grandchildren Anna, Joey, Lisa, Joel, Jaimee, Joey, Lacey, Jonah, Miranda, Eric, Ashleigh, Trish, Danni, Julia, and Benjamin, and family adopted along the way, Shirley, Laurie, Miranda, Dakota, Scott, Frankie, Rushel, Sue, and Liz. RUTHERFORD, Robert Henry "Bob" (January 23, 1919-December 19, Passed away at Parkwood Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and children. Bob had a strong and loving heart that has survived many medical ups and downs, but his faith always kept him positive and upbeat. Bob spent most of his working life at Beatty Bros. Farm Equipment following in his father's footsteps. His career was interrupted by 4 years overseas in the Canadian Armed Forces. After retirement he developed his creative talents by making furniture and jewellery in his garage workshop until the cold weather moved him to his Florida retreat. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Daphne (CHEELE,) his sister Beryl McINTYRE of Kitchener, his brother-in-law R.D. (Pete) CHEELE of London, his children, Judy (Harry CARDWELL,) Wendy RUTHERFORD- DOBSON, Paul (Dianna), Peter (Beth) and Deborah, his grandchildren Jennifer (John McKINNELL), Greg HUCKLE (Tamara BOOTH), Matthew CARDWELL (Adrienne,) Miranda CARDOSO, Sara AINSLIE, Steven, Adam and Andrew RUTHERFORD and his great-grandchildren Jesse, Justin and Selina CARDOSO, Rhys McKINNELL and Summer CARDWELL. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street, on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at Holy Family Church, (formerly St. Pius X) 777 Valetta Street, on Friday morning December 22, 2006 at 10 o'clock. Cremation with interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery. After a lengthy battle with cancer, Paula passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 4th, 2006 at the age of 77. Paula will be sadly missed by her loving husband John of 48 years, as well as family and Friends. As per Paula's request, cremation has already taken place. Friends are welcome to pay their respects at the Patrick J. Darte Funeral Chapel (39 Court Street, St. Catharines 905-685-6584) on Saturday, March 25th, 2006 from 1: 00 p.m. to 2: 00 p.m. with a memorial celebration of Paula's life at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
