Peacefully at University Hospital, London, Ontario, on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, Thursa Evy HILL of London, Ontario, formerly of Brighton, Ontario, passed away in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Robert Henry HILL (1991.) Dear mother of Robert John HILL of Edmonton, Alberta, Donna and husband Lorne McGUFFIN of London, Linda and husband David BLEUE of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Jim JACKSON and wife Cindy, Dineen SHANK and husband Howard, Melody HOMAN and husband Clare, Chris BLEUE, Scott BLEUE and wife Melanie, Merrylee McGUFFIN and husband Gord WESTMACOTT, Heather GRAHAM and husband Matt. She will be missed by Leonard JACKSON and wife Brenda. Sadly missed by her seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by daughter Sharron JACKSON. Cremation will take place at Woodland Cemetery and Crematorium in London. Friends will be received by the family one hour (1: 00-2:00 p.m.) prior to a Memorial Service which will be conducted at the Walas Funeral Home in Brighton, Ontario, on Thursday, March 30th, 2006, with the Rev. Michael STOL officiating. Interment of cremated remains will be in Stockdale Cemetery.

Peacefully at Exeter Villa on Saturday, May 6, 2006, Dirk VAN DYKEN (formerly of Strathroy) in his 90th year went home to the Lord. Beloved husband of the late Janke VAN DYKEN (2000.) Dear father of Albert and Didi VAN DYKEN of R.R.#1, Dashwood and Peter and Alice VAN DYKEN of Cambridge. Cherished and loved grandfather of Derek and Paul VAN DYKEN, Patricia and Kevin McINTYRE, Kevin and Haley VAN DYKEN, Julie VAN DYKEN and Kenneth VAN DYKEN. Great-grandfather to Aisha and Kyra McINTYRE. Survived by his sister Luikina HOMAN of Holland. Predeceased by sisters Annie ANTINA and Seike AUKEMA and brother Auke VAN DYKEN of Holland. Visitation will be held at Denning Bros. Funeral Home, Strathroy on Tuesday May 9 from 7-9 p.m. A Funeral service will be held at the Providence United Reformed Church, 447 Second Street, Strathroy on Wednesday May 10 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Harry ZEKVELD and Rev. Kevin VAN DYKEN officiating. Interment to follow in Strathroy Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Dirk.

Passed away peacefully on Monday, February 13, 2006, at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Beloved wife of Gordon E. LEWIS, Muriel will be lovingly remembered by her children Helen and her husband Allen McKEACHNIE and by Robert and his wife Frances LEWIS. Dear grandmother of Cory, Gordie and Sandra. Muriel is survived by her sister Kay MacKEY and brother Robert GIBSON. Predeceased by her two infant daughters and sister Nina HOMER. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 at the Fawcett Funeral Home - Creemore Chapel, 182 Main Street, at 2 p.m. with visitation commencing 2 hours prior to the service. HOMER, Frank Sidney (1919-2006)
Frank HOMER completed his life's journey this week on December 27th in his 88th year. His families celebrate his meaningful life and successful life. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Norma Smith (MacKINNON,) and predeceased by his wife of 32 years Sarah Laughlin (McJANNET.) He is survived by his children Douglas Bruce (Candida), David William (Joanne), John Barclay (Cindy), Janet Louise McCOLEMAN (Sandy,) and Margaret Ruth (Ken.) He is also survived by his step-children Paula McNAMARA (Jim) and Russell MacKINNON (Anita.) His 14 grandchildren loved him dearly. The family welcome Friends to view selections of Frank's artwork with them at Mundell's Funeral Home on Friday December 29 from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Mundell's on Saturday December 30 at 11: 00 a.m. and a reception will follow. Donations to Hillcrest Lodge Corp. (a home for vulnerable seniors) would be greatly appreciated.
