Suddenly in Edmonton, Alberta on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at the age of 57. Paul WILSON of Thornbury, loved husband of Deborah and father of Tricia and her husband Dany LAMARCHE of Trenton, Colleen and her husband Jibesh ADVANTI of Woodbridge, Michael HOGAN and Douglas HOGAN of Mississauga and Jennifer WILSON at home, Thornbury. Also remembered by three sisters, three brothers and their families. Family will receive Friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home, The Valley Chapel, 20 Alice Street East, in Thornbury on Friday from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral and committal services, officiated by Pastor Jim NEALE, will be conducted at the First Baptist Church, Bruce Street S., Thornbury on Saturday, June 10 at 11: 00 a.m. A service of interment will be conducted at Spring Creek Cemetery, 1390 Clarkson Road North in Mississauga on Monday, June 12, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. As your expression of sympathy, donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, at the Ottawa Hospital on Monday October 16, 2006 in her 90th year. Born in Bentinck Township, Ontario, daughter of Margaret and Thomas SHEWELL. Beloved wife of the late Francis Patrick MELOSHE and cherished mother of Nancy (Dr. Ian PRAGNELL), Mary (Dr. Phyllis HIERLIHY), Patrice (Elmer TUMAK) and Timothy. Dear sister of Helen HILL (Norman) of Windsor, Ontario and sister-in-law of Wilfred and Helen MELOCHE of Owen Sound. Predeceased by her brothers Albert, Walter, Charles and Stanley, and; by her sisters Isabel HURLEY and Violet HOGAN of Owen Sound. Pearl was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was a dedicated member of the Catholic Women's League and a lifelong parishioner of Saint Mary's Church, Owen Sound. There are angels too numerous to mention among the doctors, residents, nurses, therapists and administrative staff at the Ottawa Hospital and the Ottawa Heart Institute who treated Pearl with professionalism, dedication and compassion. Your kindnesses were deeply appreciated. HOGAN, Sister Cecilia (Margaret Cecilia)
Entered Eternal Life on September 30, 2006 in Chatham, Ontario. She was born in Mount Carmel, Ontario in 1914, the daughter of the late John and Cecilia (HOULAHAN) HOGAN. She entered the Ursuline Religious of the Diocese of London in 1942. During her religious life she served as a homemaker at Ursuline Motherhouse, Parkhill, Stratford, and Strathroy, Ontario. Sr. Cecilia received her Diploma in Religious Education in Michigan and served as a catechist in Menominee and Stephenson, Michigan. She also was Director of Resident Students at "The Pines" did clerical, bursar and receptionist work. She was a Parish Visitor in Strathroy and Woodstock. In 1993, she returned to Chatham. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by brothers Michael, Edward, Wilfred and sisters Theresa DUCHARME and Mary REGNIER. Relatives and Friends are invited to join the Ursuline Community at a prayer service to be held on Monday, October 2, at 7 p.m, in the Holy Family Chapel at "The Pines" Chatham. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 3, at 10 a.m. in the Holy Family Chapel, 64 Ursuline Avenue, Chatham. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery. Peacefully, at Toronto East General Hospital, March 13, 2006. Eldest son of Austin and Mary FITZGERALD. Predeceased by brothers Joseph, Francis, Redmond, sister Agnes and her husband William STEFFLER. Survived by brothers Gerard, Vincent, sister Alice and her husband Vincent HEFFERNAN, as well as dear sisters-in-law Rita, Leverne, Ferne and Audrey. Many nieces and nephews mourn his loss, too. Born at Lakefield, Ontario, April 21, 1914, he was educated in both elementary and secondary schools in Norwood, Ontario. He joined the Christian Brothers in 1940. Teaching assignments began in Toronto and included appointments in Windsor, Oshawa and Montreal. Most of his retirement years were spent on the West Indian Island of St. Vincent, as librarian at Saint Martin's Secondary School. The Brothers will welcome Friends and relatives at La Salle Manor, 61 Fairfax Crescent, Scarborough, on Wednesday from 2: 00-5:00 p.m. and at the Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Resurrection will take place on Thursday at 11: 00 a.m. in the Manor Chapel. A shining star vanished from the sky on Tuesday, June 20th, 2006. Bradley Tyrone HARRIES, cherished son of Ty and Ellen HARRIES, shone a light on every life he touched. Brad was born in London, on February 28, 1987. Bradley was loved by brothers Michael, his friend Courtney of Toronto, and Jeff, wife Moy and their son Cole of Tillsonburg. Loving "Boy" of Grandma Mary YOUNGS of Stratford. Also survived by Grandma Marie HARRIES and Uncle Art HARRIES of Tillsonburg. Special 'nephew' to Uncle Chuck and Aunt Diane HERNIMAN. Bradley will be tremendously missed by his devoted family and many Friends. Peacefully, on Sunday, October 29th, 2006, with family present, in her 99th year at the Winston Park, Nursing Home, Kitchener. Vi was born July 2nd, 1908 at Lot 17, Concession 3, East Oxford. She was employed from the age of 16 until her retirement in 1973, with the Canadian National Telegraph, serving in Woodstock, Windsor, Hamilton, Toronto and lastly in London. She resided at 857 James Street, Woodstock from 1982 until moving to Kitchener in 2005. Vi was a member of Christ Church (Anglican), Oxford Centre, and for many years since retirement was a volunteer at the gift shop of Woodstock General Hospital. In recent years she attended Learning Unlimited and Seniors on the Move. She was the loving aunt of June PARKING and Wilma EWALD who survived her. She will be fondly remembered by 18 great-nieces and nephews (and their mates). TATTERSALL, Roy Sydney
Peacefully at Mitchell Nursing Home, on Friday December 15, 2006 in his 81st year, with his son at his side. He was born December 12, 1925, in the village of Bletchley, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom to the late George Thomas and Hilda May TATTERSALL. He served in the Royal Navy during World War 2, and was stationed in Colombo, Ceylon. On December 15, 1949, he married Jean Moira (HOGG,) in Bangalore, India. In 1956 they moved to Canada, where he worked as a Radio Operator for the Department of National Defence, and then as a Communications Officer for CRC until his retirement in 1980. They retired to the Costa del Sol in Spain, and spent the next 25 years travelling the world, and building his dream home, Shalimar. In 2005 he returned to Canada, to spend his remaining time close to his family. His passions were gardening, golf, travel, and enjoying the company of others. Sadly missed, he is survived by his son Roy Kim and his wife Deborah of Saint Marys, daughter Lorraine and her husband John of Vancouver; five grandchildren, Christopher, Graham, and Suki, of Saint Marys; Jasmin, Amber, of Vancouver; and two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Aubrey, also of Vancouver; two brothers, Clive and Ian, of the United Kingdom one sister, Jayne, of the United Kingdom and best friend Joy Parry, of the United Kingdom. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many Friends around the world. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jean in 1997, and sister Joan in 2006. A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday December 21st at the La Ball Funeral Chapel in Saint Marys from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. His ashes will be interred at a private ceremony in Spain. In his memory, a memorial fund has been established for one of his unfinished projects, to build a school for children in Sri Lanka. As a result of an accident at his residence, Walter Edward DENYS, 55, on Wednesday, January 18, 2006. Beloved husband of Nancy (LAPP) DENYS of R.R.#3, Kippen. Dear father and father-in-law of Jeffery and Laura DENYS, Jeanette and Scott MEYER, Amanda and Kevin MacDONALD and Matthew DENYS, all of the Kippen area. Special grandpa of Patrick and Gavin DENYS and a little MacDonald baby to arrive in April. Eldest brother of Dianne and Dave YOUMANS, Exeter, Brian DENYS, Seaforth, Ron and Deb DENYS, Brucefield, Rick DENYS and Theresa WILD, Kippen, and Darlene and Todd HOGGART, Kippen, and brother-in-law of Bill and Mary LAPP, Abbottsford, and Keith and Helen LAPP, Auburn. Fondly remembered by 15 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Eli and Rachel (STALLAERT) DENYS and parents-in-law Elliott and Catherine LAPP. Peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre -- Victoria Campus, on Tuesday, February 7, 2006, Mrs. Margaret C. (REICHERT) SWITZER of Clinton in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Eric SWITZER (1995). Loving mother, she is survived by her daughters Sharon and Douglas SINNAMON, Dianne and Jim ALEXANDER all of Bayfield, and Debra and Darcy ROBLIN of Oakville. Cherished grandmother of William and Amber SINNAMON, Lori and Brent BROOKS, Cori and Paul HOGGART, Jerry ALEXANDER and friend Renee, Cheryl ALEXANDER and her fiance Daniel RADER, Samantha, Brett, and Nicole ROBLIN. Proud great-grandmother of Alexa, Markaysa and Kiera SINNAMON, Denver and Cole HOGGART, Brennan ALEXANDER- MASSE, and Connor BROOKS. Predeceased by her parents, brothers, and a sister. Beloved wife of the late Glenn PRICE (1987) and the late Clarence HOGGARTH (1946.) Loving mother of William and Lia HOGGARTH of R.R.#2, Clinton and Heather PRICE and friend Doug STEARNS of London. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Christopher and Karen HOGGARTH, Derek and Karen HOGGARTH and Michelle HOGGARTH and by 4 great-grandchildren Adrian and Gracie HOGGARTH and Kaden and Wilder HOGGARTH. Dear sister of Russell BLOOMFIELD of Ottawa, June and Ellwood CLARKE of London and Gloria and Bill BEDOUR of Zurich. Peacefully at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, November 25, 2006 James "Jim" HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON passed away in his 77th year. Best friend and fun-loving husband for 47 years to Gwen (née HOGGARTH.) Proud father of Catherine "Kye" SCOTT and her husband Brad of Tillsonburg, James A. HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON Jr. and his wife Tanya of Saint Thomas. Predeceased by his parents James and Mary HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON, sisters Eva HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON and Margaret MURRAY. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and his in-laws. James was a brick layer, stone mason for over 60 years. He was a proud member of B.A.C.U. Local 05, London, Ontario. His legacy will live on through his students and his craftsmanship. Unexpectedly, on May 1st, 2006. Leo STRAATMAN of Watford passed away at the age of 64. He will be sadly missed by his wife Lina (DENYS) and his children Laura (Jim) SOETEMANS, Paul, Julie (Glen) APP, Sandra (Todd) WHITE/WHYTE and his grandchildren Derek, Dylan, Jill, Emily, Jamie, Olivia, Emma and Nathan. Predeceased by 2 infant brothers and dear brother of Gerry (Anne) STRAATMAN, Herman (Johanna) STRAATMAN, Theresa (Victor) SOETEMANS, Mary (Matthew) HOGORVORST, Nellie (Bill) VANDERBURGT, Harry (Ellie) STRAATMAN, Tony (Rita) STRAATMAN and Elsie (Alfons) COUWENBURG. Leo was a respected farmer, businessman and active member of the community and his church. Leo was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
