Laurie served locally
with the R.C.R. as a young man, later he joined the The Emergency
Measures Organization which led to his involvement with the O.P.P.
Auxiliary for over 30 years of service. Laurie was also a tool
and die maker with Fisher Controls for over 40 years and his
retirement spent time at Tigercat, Woodstock, Transdrive, Woodstock
and drove school bus locally. Friends may call at the R.D. Longworth
Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (539-0004) on Tuesday,
March 21, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the complete funeral
service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at 11: 30 a.m.
Interment later in the Presbyterian Cemetery. Contributions to
the Critical Care Trauma Centre of London Health Sciences or
the Woodstock General Hospital Intensive Care Unit would be appreciated.
