mother, mother-in-law and grandmother, Margaret was a tireless,
long-time volunteer in organizations that served Belleville,
Toronto and Canada. She was a Lieutenant in the Canadian Women's
Army Corps and was awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal in
2002. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Canadian Federation
of University Women (Belleville Chapter) Scholarship Fund, the
Children's Aid Society of Northumberland, or to the Belleville

Peacefully on Monday, January 16th, 2006 in her 84th year at
the Bloomington Cove Residence. Predeceased by loving husband
of 59 years, Roy. Children James (Elaine), Alan (Biz) and Alyce
will always fondly remember Mom. Loving Grandmother to Vanessa
(Steve), Jenny (Glenn), Glenn (Megan), Brandon (Lucy), Adam,
Turner, Taylor and Steven. A proud graduate of Moulton College,
Barbara was best described as a going concern, and an avid sportswoman.
She will be sadly missed by Friends in Muskoka and Florida. Private
cremation. A Celebration of her life will take place in the Library
of The Royal York Hotel on January 25, 2006 at 7: 00 p.m. In lieu
of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
