evening of Wednesday March 15 at Grey Bruce Health Services Hospital,
after a battle with N.H.[non-hodgekins] Lymphoma. A special thank

Anna was born in Sebewaing, Michigan April 9, 1934, the daughter
of Johh and Esther
GONDA, beetworkers. Anna had top marks throughout
high school (only 1 B in Home Ec.) and graduated with honours
from the first 5-year R.N. program from the University of Michigan.
After working in Micronesia in the South Pacific for 6 years
Anna and Paul moved to Williamsford where she became a Public
Health and school nurse until her retirement. Anna was Union
President of Local 4 of the Ontario Nurses Association as well
as giving Pre-Natal birthing classes in the area for many years.
At 56, Anna returned to school to receive a Masters in Education
from the University of Toronto to assist the mid-wife movement.
During her retirement Anna was President of the Grey Association
for Better Planning to challenge water-taking, as well as being
secretary of the Grey Historical Society. Donations to the Cancer
Society would be appreciated. Anna has been cremated as she wished
and a Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at her home on
her birthday, in the mid-afternoon, from approximately 2: 00 until
6: 00 of Sunday April 9, 2006. Phone (519) 794 3259. There will
be a short program and lots of time for talking and sharing our
remembrances and some food prepared by our caring Friends and
neighbours. We would hope that anyone who knew and appreciated

and his wife Helen of Saskatoon. Predeceased by his brother Joseph.
Long standing member of Saint Paul's United Church, Oakville and
honourary grandfather of the Tan Family. A World War 2 veteran,
Fred served overseas with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Provost
Corps and later was an Area Counsellor with Veterans Affairs
Canada. Former Commodore of the Oakville Yacht Squadron, Fred
was an accomplished sailor and keen competitor who was happiest
whiling away the hours on boat repairs and racing with family
and Friends. He embraced the gifts and challenges that life offered
with unwavering kindness, generosity, fairness and a ready smile.

care and support for 12 years. Visitation will be held at the
Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Rd. W. (one block east of
Kerr) on Sunday, May 14, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service
will be held Monday, May 15, 2006 at 1 p.m. Saint Paul's United
Church, 454 Rebecca Street, Oakville followed by interment at
Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations
may be made to the Veterans Comfort Fund at Sunybrook Hospital
or the War Amps of Canada. The words of William Arthur Ward sum
up Fred's remarkable attitude - "the pessimist complains about
the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjust
the sails." His compassion, integrity and good nature were an
inspiration to everyone he met. He will be missed greatly and
remembered fondly.

Our Lady of Lourdes in Toronto and will be missed as well by
the members of the Pillars Senior Group. Family and Friends will
be received on Monday, March 6th and Tuesday, March 7th, 2006
from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Pine Hills Visitation, Chapel and
