WACHOWIAK, Henry F.
Of Saint Thomas, on Wednesday, December 6, 2006, in his 61st. year. Dearly loved father of Mark WACHOWIAK his fiancée Kristine MacKLEM, Leah WACHOWIAK and their mother Daniela. Loved brother of John and his wife Jane WACHOWIAK and Helen and her husband Gerry PHILLIPS, all of Saint Thomas. Dear uncle of Julia and her husband Doug GOEBEL and their son Gavin, Angela and Andrew PHILLIPS, Marie WACHOWIAK and the late David PHILLIPS. Dear nephew of Mary WACHOWIAK of Saint Thomas and the late Steve WACHOWIAK. Sadly missed by a number of cousins and relatives in Germany and Poland. Henry was born in Denmark on November 2, 1946, the son of the late Frank and Rosa (FRIEDRICH) WACHOWIAK. He came to Canada with his family in 1949. He worked at Formet and formerly at Ford Talbotville (1967-1985). He was a member of Holy Angels' Church. Henry was an avid gardener outdoorsman and was an avid participant of the Southwestern Ontario Retriever Club. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Saturday morning and then to Holy Angels' Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Friday afternoon at 4: 00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Kidney Foundation, Holy Angels' Church Restoration Fund or M.A.D.D.

Dear father of Paul and Patricia VAN ALTENA of Angus, Maryke and Ken OSBORN of London and Frank VAN ALTENA and his partner Jenny of Lucknow. Loving grandmother of Dianna and John ROBINSON, Paula VAN ALTENA, William VAN ALTENA, Melissa and Kevin BOVIN and Ryan and Jennifer OSBORN. Also sadly missed by her great grandchildren Amber VAN ALTENA, Joanna VAN ALTENA, Billy BELL, Dustin BELL, Tyler BELL, Gage VAN ALTENA and Jordan VAN ALTENA, Marissa BOVIN, Brianna BOVIN and Ty BOVIN and Trista and Kyler OSBORN. A resident of Blenheim and formerly of Ridgetown and Highgate, passed away at the Blenheim Community Village Nursing Home on Friday October 27, 2006 at the age of 99 years. Born in Orford Twsp., daughter of the late Almon and Ellen Christina McLEOD) ROBERTS. Beloved wife of the late W. Roy JONES (1977.) Dear mother of Helen and Don GOENS of Ridgetown, Marlene and Gary JEWELL of R.R.#3 Ridgetown, Beverly McVICAR and Kevin RUMBLE of Blenheim and the late John "Jack" ROBERTS (1998) and Roger JONES (2005.) Also surviving is a daughter-in-law Jean JONES of Highgate, 8 Grandchildren and 5 Great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 2 sisters Mattie HEIL and Mary ROBERTS. Hazel was a member of Highgate United Church and was active in the church choir, United Church Women and Tru-Ki-Lo for many years She was also a member of the Highgate Seniors Club. He served in World War 2 as Flight Lieutenant Navigator Royal Canadian Air Force 435 Transport Squadron. Past President of 408 - 437 Toronto York Wing, Past National President of Royal Canadian Air Force Association, Life Member of Burma Star Association, Royal Canadian Legion and Royal Canadian Air Force Association. Founder of Credit Counselling Service for Metropolitan Toronto (June 1966) and Former Alderman for Ward 10, Don Mills. No Funeral Service. He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; daughter, Deanna, at home son, Evan Travis, at home; sisters, Tracey GOETHEYN, Dresden, Ontario; Trudy BALINT, West Lorne, Ontario; loving son-in-law of Arthur and Joyce FARRIS; special loving uncle to 27 nieces and nephews; 4 great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Jacob and Martha LABADIE; maternal grandparents, Lyle and Anne CORDICK. LIMACHER, Hildegarde Clara
Born in Expanse, Saskatchewan on December 25, 1923, daughter of Joseph LIMACHER (Escholzmatt, Switzerland) and Josephine PAUVELS (Goch, Germany), she passed away peacefully at home in Toronto on May 13, 2006 after a four-month battle with cancer. She was a retired teacher whose career began in a one-room schoolhouse in Saskatchewan and ended in adult education in Toronto. She is predeceased by sisters Annie GOETTLE and Madeline MADDIGAN and brothers Joseph, Herman and Albert LIMACHER. She leaves behind sisters Mary POLISAK, Angela LEBLANC and Matilda and Margaret LIMACHER as well as brothers John and Bernard LIMACHER. Jacoba was born in Holland a daughter of the late Leendert and Aartje HUYGEN formerly of Meaford. Mother of Audri MELTON (Roger GOETZ) of Waterloo, Charlie KAAKE of Richmond Hill, and Nancy KAAKE (Tom GOBEIL) of Noelville. Grandmother of Kendri and Jillian, Bonnie, Billy, Alex and Misty and great-grandmother of two. Sister of Rika (Bill) HARTLEY of Toronto and predeceased by brothers William and Elias HUYGEN. Funeral and committal services will be conducted at the Ferguson Funeral Home, The Valley Chapel, 20 Alice Street East in Thornbury on Saturday March 4th at 11: 00 a.m. with visiting the hour prior to service. Lovingly remembered by his wife Isabelle (née RENNIE,) his children Michael (Julie) of Anchorage, Alaska, Dana (Donna), Geoff (Angela) and Greg, all of Owen Sound, and his grandchildren Krista, Steven and Thomas. Predeceased by his parents Martin and Magdelena, his brothers and sisters, Dominic, Alfred, Lucy (Sister Monica), Monica, Agnes, Martina (Mrs. George SCHNURR), Stanislaus (Father Stan), Isadore and Mary (Mrs. William HILLYER Jr..) Fondly remembered as a gifted and skilled machinist, millwright and teacher. Active in tennis, horseshoes and outdoor activities well into his later years.
