While we who loved him grieve his early leaving, we will remember
Ron as the consummate combination of Oscar Wilde and Julia Child.
An invitation to one of Ron's dinner parties was highly sought
after as they guaranteed not only a fabulously prepared meal,
but also copious amounts of fine wine and razor sharp wit. Ron
was an avid reader with a photographic memory who shared his
love of history, art, music, opera and travel with his many Friends
at every turn. Friends everywhere will sadly miss this wonderful
man and raconteur. Cremation will occur and there will be a private
internment service at a later date. In the meantime, a private
celebration of Ron's life will be held Friday, July 14th at 3-5 p.m.
at Harbourfront Centre Toronto; and another on Sunday, July 23
at 3-5 p.m. at The London and Regional Art Gallery. In lieu of
flowers or donations from Friends, expressions of sympathy to
The Art Gallery of Hamilton, an organization that he was proud
to support, would be sincerely appreciated. Salut and bon voyage
Ron!
