SALINIEWICZ, Stella Mary (née ZAWITKOSKI)
Peacefully at Woodingford Lodge, Woodstock on Thursday, March 2, 2006 with family and Friends at her side, Stella Mary SALINIEWICZ (née ZAWITKOSKI) of Woodstock and formerly of Welland, in her 88th year. Born in Ituna, Saskatchewan on April 26, 1918. Daughter of the late Jozef and Rozalia ZAWITKOSKI. Beloved wife of the late Frank SALINIEWICZ (1992.) Loving mother of Joseph SAVAGE and his wife Margaret of Red Rock, Ontario and Frances GLAB and her late husband Wesley (1983) of Woodstock. Loving grandmother of Joseph SAVAGE, Jr. of Nipigon, Ontario. Dear sister of Adela MARCINKOWSKI (late Chester) of Toronto, Wanda SCANLON (Victor) of London, Joe MURRAY (Diana) of Peachland, British Columbia and the late Julia DANIELS, Pete, Walter, Alfons, Ted, Alice ZIEMNIAK, and Edward. Also lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends. Stella was a member of the auxiliary of the Polish Legion Branch 558 Welland, a longtime member of the Polish Canadian Society in Welland, a honourary member of Sts. Peter and Paul Living Rosary Society, and a member of St. Rita's Catholic Women's League. Friends will be received at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington Street North, Woodstock on Monday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. C.W.L. rosary prayers on Monday evening at 6: 15 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 6:45 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Rita Catholic Church, 904 Dundas Street, Woodstock on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. with Father Chris GEVAERT officiating. After a short illness, surrounded by her loving family at London Health Sciences Centre (University Campus) Monday, March 6, 2006. Irene A. DUIVENVOORDE (née IWANUK) of Edward Street Woodstock in her 49th year. Beloved wife of Bill DUIVENVOORDE. Loved mother of Jennifer (Graham) and Melissa and loved grandmother of Austin and Nolan DUIVENVOORDE. Cherished daughter of the late William and Irene IWANUK. Dear sister of Willy IWANUK and his wife Kim, Mary LICHTI and her husband Ron, Rita BROADFOOT and her husband Mike. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Irene was employed with Canadian Tire for almost 20 years. Friends may call at the R.D. At Woodstock General Hospital on Thursday May 18th, 2006, Anna "Annie" SEYKENS (née SCHICHATZKAJA) of Knowles Dr., Woodstock, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of Hubertus "Albert" SEYKENS. Dear mother of Jeannetta WOODALL and her husband Ron, Agnes FRENCH and Tammy BLACK all of Woodstock, Joze VERNOOY and her husband Joe of Saint Marys and Petra HASKELL and her companion Jack SHEWAN of Ingersoll. Loved grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces in the Ukraine and brother/sisters-in-law in Holland and the U.S. Predeceased by her son-in-law Neil SCURR (1982). Annie was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #55, Woodstock, the Seniors Citizens Southgate Centre and the Woodstock Blind Bowlers League. Loving grandmother of Karen LANGDON of Woodstock, Steve KELLY (Lindsay) of Montreal, Chris KELLY (Kirsten) of Toronto, Peter KELLY of Montreal, Graig PETTIT (Lorrie) of Saint Thomas, Kelly McKAY (Brad) of Ottawa and the late Michael O'NEILL (1990.)
