FONES, Eileen Dorothy
At the age of 76 years, suddenly on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the Longworth Long Term Care Facility. Eileen was the daughter of the late John and Susannah FONES. Beloved sister of Audrey Raven and Evelyn Cogan, sister-in-law of Peggy FONES. Predeceased by her sister Eleanor, her brothers Tom (Betty), Harry (Marguerite), Fred (Jean) and Clarence, brothers-in-law Frank RAVEN and Alfred COGAN. Loved dearly by her niece Lynda and her husband Gordon LA ROSE. Eileen is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Dear friend of Marie VEENSTRA and Lorna ANTOINE. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends are invited to Wesley-Knox United Church Chapel, 91 Askin Street, London, on Saturday, June 10, 2006, at 10: 30 a.m. for a Memorial Celebration Service of Eileen's Life. Rev. Of Saint Thomas, on Monday, June 5, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 81st year. Beloved husband Dorothy May (WHITE/WHYTE) STEINHOFF and dearly loved father of Vicky FONGER of Saint Thomas, Patricia SHARPE and her partner Paul HALLETT of Saint Thomas and the late Nancy Catling. Dear sister of Helen Daniel of Tavistock, Dorothy CHISNALL of Ingersoll and the late Reginald and Morris STEINHOFF. Loved grandfather of Leslie, Matthew, Carlie, Bobby Jean "B.J.", Christopher and Isaac. Sadly missed by a number of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Gene was born in Ingersoll on September 17, 1925, the son of the late Clarence and Stella STEINHOFF. He retired as Detachment Commander of the Corps. Of Commissionaires, worked as an orderly for 12 years at Westminster Hospital, was area Branch Manager of Fuller Brush. Gene served overseas during World War 2 in Western Europe with the Highland Light Infantry Perth Regiment 5th Division 5th Army. The family will receive visitors at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held at the funeral home on Friday. Fatal Collision
Karen MOLE, age 41 of Owen Sound has been charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act as a result of a three-vehicle collision that claimed the life of Anthonius BULSINK's, age 27 of Woodford. Ms MOLE's westbound 2000 Dodge van struck the rear of BULSINK's westbound 1992 Ford Coupe and forced it to the eastbound lane of traffic. An eastbound 1998 Dodge pickup driven by Marcel FONTAINE, age 41 of Burgoyne struck the BULSINK vehicle sending both of them rolling into the south ditch.
Mr. BULSINK died as a result of his injuries. Passengers in the FONTAINE pickup truck, Mona Mary BURTON age 52 and Lisa FONTAINE both of Burgoyne were sent to the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre with non-life threatening injuries. An Ontario Provincial Police technical collision investigative team had traffic re-routed on 26 highway for several hours.

Loving husband of the late Muriel 'Bessie' CATTO and by a previous marriage to Marion LEWIS. Dear father of John and his wife Diane of Markham, Kathy FRENCH and her husband Roger FONTAINE of Winnipeg, Barbara PARKS and her husband Ken of Bloomfield, Liz of Kingston, and step-daughter Dimitra Joan. Much loved grandpa of Daniel, Lauren and Benjamin PARKS and step-grandpa of Richard and Natasha. Also survived by his nieces and nephews Cherrie GILLILANT (Don,) Jack FRENCH (Marie,) Pat TAILOR/TAYLOR (John) and Michael HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON (Doris) as well as his great nieces and nephews. And last but not least, his beloved and faithful dog, Mindy. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) Kingston, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Members of the Ancient Saint_John's Lodge, No. 3, are requested to assemble at the funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m. for a masonic service. All sister lodges are respectfully invited to attend.
