McKENNA, Father William P.
Peacefully at Marian Villa on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 Father William P. McKENNA, retired Roman Catholic Priest of the Diocese of London, age 82. son of the late William and Emma McKENNA. Predeceased by his sister Catherine McKENNA. Fr. McKENNA served in many places in the Diocese for 56 years, including Chaplain at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Windsor, from 1962-1968, Pastor of St. Joseph's Parish, London, and associate Pastor at St. Peter's Basilica. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Then to lie in state at St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, on Saturday morning from 10 o'clock until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 o'clock. Most Reverend Ronald P. FABBRO, C.S.B., Bishop of London, celebrant. Interment in the Priest plot at St. Peter's Cemetery.

BROWN, Reverend Francis Emmett
On Saturday, June 24, 2006, Reverend Francis Emmett BROWN passed away peacefully in the Intensive Care Unit at Victoria Hospital in London, surrounded by his faithful and loving parishioners. He was the son of the late James Stewart and Mary K. BROWN of North Bay, Ontario. Loving brother of Georgia CONROY (Frank) and their two daughters Brenda KUPFERSCHMIDT (Mark) and their daughter Nicole of Guelph and Maureen McILWRICK (Ken) and their daughter Lauren from Sault Ste. Marie. Fond cousin of Mrs. Molly (née GORMAN) GILMORE (John), Mrs. Edith (née GORMAN) SERHAN (Bill), both from Long Beach, California, Mrs. Frances (BAKER) FARR (Charlie) from Burlington, Ontario, and Mrs. Mona PITT (Fred) from London, Ontario. Father BROWN was born in the city of Toronto on March 22, 1930. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in French and a B.A. in Education from the University of Toronto. He worked as a French teacher and the head of the Guidance Department at the Kirkland Lake Collegiate and Vocational Institute. After a few years he made the decision to join Saint Peter's Seminary in London to consecrate his life to Priesthood. On June 6, 1964 he was ordained Priest by The Most Reverend Bishop Maxime TESSIER. Once ordained he moved to Boston where he joined Saint James Apostle Society with hopes of becoming a missionary in South America. After eight months of service in a Massachusetts Parish he moved to Peru where he spent four months learning Spanish. In June of 1965, he was sent to the Dioceses of Guayaquil, Ecuador where he spent twelve years at the Conception of Mary Parish, here he founded a strong Catholic youth group that still today works together following the foundations of Father BROWN's work. Later he moved to the Pacific Coast of Ecuador where he spent another 12 years celebrating Masses and creating stronger communities in several small towns in the area. In 1988 he returned to Canada and was assigned to work with the growing Hispanic Community in the City of London, where he served as Pastor, spiritual counselor, guide, role model and friend for over 17 years. "Padre Francisco" as everyone called him, dedicated his life to the Hispanic people specially the most poor and needy. He was the prime example of a true follower of Jesus Christ. His family, parishioners and Friends would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at Victoria Hospital's Geriatrics and Intensive Care Units for their love and compassion. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Tuesday, June 27 and Wednesday, June 28, 2006, from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. To lie in State at Saint_Justin's Church, 855 Jalna Blvd., London on Thursday morning, June 29, 2006 from 9 o'clock where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by The Most Reverend Ronald Peter FABBRO, Bishop of London at 11 o'clock. Interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery. Prayers will be led by Father Clèber FERNANDEZ at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock. BOURQUE, Father Wilfred Joseph
Died peacefully at the Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, December 2, 2006. Father BOURQUE was ordained May 27, 1967 and served in the following parish communities: Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Windsor, St. Francis, Tilbury, Our Lady Help of Christians, Wallaceburg, St. Claire, Windsor, Holy Family, Wallaceburg and Immaculate Conception, Stratford. He is survived by his brothers and sisters Roy BOURQUE (Marge), Windsor, Leo BOURQUE (Annie), Munroe, Michigan, Luella (George BROWN,) La Salle, Eugene BOURQUE (Marcie,) Windsor, Gladys BOURQUE, Windsor, Margaret (Edward LEFEBVRE), Belle River. Wilfred is also survived by sisters-in-law Helen BOURQUE, Georgina BOURQUE, 27 nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by his parents Vina and Wilfred BOURQUE, by brothers Albert, Harvey and Leonard and by a sister Bernice BOURQUE. Family and Friends may call at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 50 Well Street, Stratford on Wednesday, December 6, from 1-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Most Rev. Ronald Peter FABBRO will preside. (Catholic Women's League Prayers Wednesday at 1 p.m. and Knights of Columbus Prayers Wednesday at 8 p.m.) In the Windsor area family and Friends may call at Our Lady of Mt. At Seaforth Manor Nursing Home on Monday, December 11, 2006 Rev. Elwyn MORRIS of Seaforth in his 88th year. Fr. MORRIS was ordained to priesthood on June 12, 1943 and served in parishes in Windsor, Sarnia, London, Port Dover, Waterford, West Lorne and Saint_Joseph. Loved brother of Mary KEARNS, Chatham and Angela HAGGARTY, Stratford. Also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents William and Josephine (GALLAGHER) MORRIS, brothers Jack, Lou, Joseph, Patrick, Fr. Bill and Tom, brothers-in-law Garnet KEARNS and Joe HAGGARTY, sisters-in-law Rita MORRIS and Terri MORRIS and by a niece Gayle WHALING. BOURQUE, Father Wilfred
The family of the late Father Wilfred BOURQUE would like to express our thanks and appreciation to the people of Stratford, Wallaceburg and Windsor in the recent loss of our brother. A special thanks to Bishop FABBRO and all the priests who attended Father Wilfred's mass. It was a beautiful celebration of his life. A special thanks to Father Wilfred close, friend Father Al DUFRAIMONT. Whenever we needed you, you were always there for him. The family would also like to thank Father Dick BESTER and Father Tom FERRERA for all the special care and concern you gave to Wilf while he was in the hospital. Thank you Father Dick for all the support and help you gave us in preparing Father Wilfred's final farewell. To Father Matt BEDARD, a very good friend to Wilf, you touched us all with your homily. To Immaculate Conception and Saint_Joseph's Choir, your music was comforting and consoling. Special thanks to Ilvana, Bernadette, Maria and Ellen for being there in Wilf's time of need. To Fr. Dear brother of the late Ilona (Sandor) BODO, Viola (Lennart) DAHLIN, and the late Attilla FABIAN. Dear brother-in-law of Norene (Allan) MORRIS, and Valerie and the late Jim FORREST.
