Peacefully on Sunday, February 26th 2006, on her 91st birthday,
at Allendale Nursing Home in Milton. Elva
EZEARD, sadly missed
by her son Darryl and his wife Alice, grandchildren Cheryl (Randy)
HOUGH, and Derrick, great granddaughter Jillian and many nieces,
nephews, Friends and neighbours. Predeceased by her husband and
high school sweetheart Mervin, brothers Russell, Archie, Morley
and sister Dorothy. Elva loved her family, her career in nursing
at Dr. Stephenson's Clinic, Milton District Hospital and helping
her mother (Margaret
RASBERRY) at her nursing home. She loved
her church and its music, Mission Band, Ladies Groups as President,
Secretary, Treasurer, her volunteer work in Red Cross, Cancer
Society and the Manor and Milton Hospital. She also enjoyed lawn
bowling, curling, playing Bridge with Imperial Order of the Daughters
of the Empire ladies and the highlight of her life, over 40 summers
cottaging at Victoria Harbour on Georgian Bay. Family and Friends
are invited to visit at the McKersie-Kocher Funeral Home 114
Main St. Milton 905-878-4452 from 10: 00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on
Thursday, March 2nd 2006. The service will follow at 11: 00 a.m.
on Thursday in the funeral home chapel. As expressions of sympathy,
memorial donations to the Milton District Hospital Foundation
or St. Paul's United Church would be appreciated by the family.
