CASWELL, Mary Elnor
Mary Elnor CASWELL a resident of Spruce Lodge, Stratford, passed away suddenly at her residence on Wednesday, January 11th, 2006, in her 83rd year. Born in St. Vincent Township, Grey County, she was the daughter of the late John J. CASWELL and the former Sarah ERSKEN. Mary was a member of Saint John's United Church, Stratford, a member of Ruth Rebekah Lodge #2 and was a former employee of International Artcraft. Lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Viola CASWELL of Meaford and many nieces and nephews and their families. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been predeceased by brothers, Melville, Alex, Ray and Allan and sisters, Annie LUSH and Ethel CASWELL. Relatives and Friends may call at Spruce Lodge Chapel on Saturday, January 14th, 2006 from 1: 00 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2: 00 p.m. Greg WHITE/WHYTE, pastor of Saint John's United Church will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Spruce Lodge Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or a charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the Heinbuck Funeral Home, 156 Albert Street, Stratford, 1-519-271-5062

In loving memory of Grace Cavell (DARLING) ERSKINE of Craigwiel Gardens Nursing Home, Ailsa Craig and formerly of Lieury, Ontario in her 90th year, who went to be with her Lord on January 5, 2006. Beloved wife of the late Arthur ERSKINE (1999.) Dear sister of Jean and Audrey DARLING of London, Ralph and Cecile DARLING of St. Catherines. Sister-in-law of Ellen CAMPBELL of Kerwood, Viola DARLING of London and Dorothy DARLING of Ailsa Craig. Predeceased by parents William and Emily DARLING, brothers Fred, Jack, Otto and Jim DARLING. Also loved by her nieces, nephews and many piano students over the years. Grace served the Lieury United Church in several roles, including the organist, active member in United Church Women, Sunday School Teacher, and children's choir director. She was a soloist at may weddings and funerals in the community. Special thanks to Dr. Andrew WHYNOT, nurses and staff at Craigweil Gardens Nursing Home for their kindness and excellent care. A private family funeral and committal service will be conducted at the M. Box and son Funeral Home, 183 Broad Street, Parkhill on Monday, January 9th at 1: 00 p.m. Reverend Doug WRIGHT will officiate. Interment in Parkhill Cemetery. In memory of Grace donations may be made to the charity of choice. M. Box and son will plant a tree in living memory of Mrs. ERSKINE at the Ausable-Bayfield Conservation, Parkhill.

Of Saint Thomas, on Saturday February 25, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Viola Jean (NELSON) ERSKINE (July 26, 2001.) Loved father of Bob ERSKINE of London, Dave and his wife Lina ERSKINE of St. Thomas and Kathy and her husband Mike MacHON of Union. Loved grandfather of Lisa, David, Jason, Mandy, Dawn, Dana and Dianna. Sadly missed by 8 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Natalie ERSKINE of London, Norma and her husband Bob LEWIS of London, Jack ERSKINE of British Columbia and Gerald and his wife Joyce ERSKINE of Ottawa. Robert was born in London, Ontario on July 8, 1921, the son of the late Leonard and Lottie ERSKINE. He was a retired plumber and last worked for Ambrose Plumbing. He served overseas during World War 2 and was a member of the Legion in London and was also a Mason. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Saturday at 1: 30 p.m. Interment to follow in Saint Thomas Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice. Visitation Friday from 7-9 p.m.

Passed away peacefully after a short stay in the hospital on Friday, June 16, 2006 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Marie Lenore CARPENTER (née ERSKINE.) Loving father of Darryl (Fran) CARPENTER and Gary CARPENTER. Cherished grandfather of Jason and Andrea of Goderich. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2006 at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), London, with visitation one hour prior to service. Peacefully at Lanark Lodge, Perth, April 12, 2006, Edith Harris ERSKINE, Servant of the Lord, at age 100. Wife and helpmate of the late Rev. Dr. E.A. THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, former Clerk of Assembly and Senior Administrative Office of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of David (1934-2003) and his wife Sue of Toronto, Hugh of Collingwood, and Margaret and her husband Ted SIMARD of Perth. Cherished grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of eleven. She was a kind and loving woman who will be sorely missed. Edith was a long standing and involved member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, Toronto. Special thanks to all at Lanark Lodge who worked with her with such compassion. Service will be held at Perth and District Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Saturday April 15 with interment at Trent Valley Cemetery, Hastings, Ontario at 3: 30 p.m. that afternoon.
