years. Wonderful Dad of Bernard, Lee (friend David), Jane and Robert, and
daughter-in-law Doris. Grandfather of Jane Robbins (partner Paul) of
Kingston, David Harris (wife Marie) of Levack, Lynn Popel (husband Vince) of
Perth Road Village, Bernard Jr. of Markstay, Jason Harris (wife Kim) of
Naughton, Ernest (wife Nona) of Kingston, Daniel (partner Abby) of Toronto,
Dustin (partner Lynn) of Hanmer and Lilly Jr, his own ray of sunshine,
Sunsite Estates. Great grandfather of Jessica, Sondra, Angie, Christina,
Kyle, Shane, Notia, Kaylyn, Dana, Jennifer, Vincent Jr., Logan, Sebastien,
Christian, Kayla and Carly. Great-Great Grandfather of Dustin and Hanna.
Born in Gravesend Kent, England, became a ships Master for Shell Oil,
Skipper of the BP Spirit. Emigrated to Canada in 1957 and worked at the
INCO
smelter until retirement. Lived for many years in Morea Heights until he and
Lilly began travelling to their homes in Brooksville Florida and Sunsite
Estates on Manitoulin Island where he has spent his last years of
contentment. Ernest passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at
Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current, receiving the loving care of the
excellent staff who looked after him so well so many times these last few
years. Funeral Service in the Lougheed Funeral Home, Val Caron/Blezard
Valley Chapel, 1815 Main St. Val Caron, Thursday January 26th, 2006 at 11
am. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, please send
donations to the Canadian Cancer Society. Friends may call 7-9 pm Wednesday
and after 10 am Thursday.

Elma MacDOUGALL, a resident of the Centennial Manor, Little Current, died at
the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current on Thursday, January 5, 2006 at
the age of 90 years. She was born at Gabarus, Nova Scotia, daughter of the
late James and Maria (Stacey)
MacGILLIVRAY.
Elma had a variety of interests,
one of her favourites being playing Rook. She also enjoyed shuffleboard,
fishing, dancing and listening to bagpipe music. She also had a great love
of horses. Elma will be sadly missed by her loving family, but many fond
memories will be cherished. Elma was predeceased by her husband Donald
MacDOUGALL, loving and loved mother of Judy and husband Don

John enjoyed his Friends
and family, and was especially proud of his grandchildren and
great-granddaughter. He was an avid sports fan. He loved to sail
and to swim. His swimming buddies at Northcliff Pool were very
important to John. Away in Ontario for 40 years, John returned
for his love of Nova Scotia in 1989 for his retirement years.
He will be remembered for his good humour and expansive repertoire
of jokes. He is survived by his children, Penny (Don

In addition to his daughter, he was predeceased by 5 sisters
and 2 brothers. Born in Hald, Denmark, February 3, 1920, the
son of the late Carl and Anna

PEDERSEN, he came to
Canada in 1949. Paul farmed and resided at Port Talbot from 1956-1990,
after which he moved to Union and then to Saint Thomas in 1999.
He was a member of St. Ansgar Lutheran Church, London and a Past
President of the Optimist Club of Wallacetown. Friends will be
received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas
on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will
be held Wednesday at 1: 30 p.m. Interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery,
Tyrconnell. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association
gratefully acknowledged.
