It is with profound sadness our family announces the passing of Rosa D'UVA at the age of 78 years, with her loving family by her side, God called her home on Thursday, November 16, 2006, at Leisureworld Brampton Woods. She will be reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Eugenio. She will be fondly remembered by her children Mike and Gilda D'UVA, Erminia and Angelo D'UVA, Carmelina and Giuseppe REMIGIO, Achille and Antonietta D'UVA. A devoted and wonderful Nonna to 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Loving sister to Maria YACCA, Antonietta NOTTE (deceased) and Nicolina DITTA. She will be remembered for her generosity, love of family and passion for cooking. A special thank you to all the staff at Leisureworld Brampton Woods 2 West for their dedication and compassionate care, and the staff at William Osler Health Centre, Etobicoke Campus 7th Floor, and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. The family will receive their Friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50) Bolton (905-857-2213) Sunday afternoon 2-4 and evening 7-9 o'clock, Monday afternoon 2-4 and evening 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 11873 The Gore Road (Wildfield), Brampton, on Tuesday morning, November 21 at 10 o'clock (leaving funeral home at 9: 30 a.m.). Entombment St. Anthony's Mausoleum, Queen of Heaven Cemetery, (Hwy. 27) Woodbridge. If desired, memorial donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, 522 University Avenue, Unit 1400, Toronto M5G 2R5, or the charity of your choice. Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Corp.- Oshawa on Saturday March 10th, 2006, aged 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Paul SHETLER (1998,) her parents Alice and Edward POWELL and by her sister Reta (POWELL) FLINTOFF. Beloved mother of Wendy SHELER, Lynda (SHETLER) ANDERSON and Cheryl (SHETLER) DUVAL. Beloved nana of Shawn and Nicole DUVAL. Very special nana of Drake, Rachel and Kendra HURTUBISE. Loving sister of Stan POWELL and his wife Kay of Newcastle and sister-in-law of Cliff FLINTOFF of Newcastle. Resting at The Armstrong Funeral Home 124 King Street East, Oshawa, with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday March 14th, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment Orono Cemetery.
