Shirley was a faithful and active member
of Saint Paul's Anglican Church in Caledonia; in particular in
the Altar Guild, the Anglican Church Women and as parish secretary
for many years. Recently, Shirley was awarded The Order of Niagara
for her life long service and commitment to the church. She had
also been active in Kinettes (Preston and Caledonia), the Haldimand
Horticultural Society, the Historical Society as well as Guiding
in Preston and at one time was the District Deputy Commissioner.
Shirley was Secretary of both the Preston and Caledonia Community
Chest, and had been Chair of the Eland Lee Museum Committee.
She was also a Board Director of Subdivision 17 of The Women's
Institute. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at Saint Paul's
Anglican Church, 27 Orkney Street East, Caledonia (905-765-2779)
on Friday, June 2, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to Saint Paul's Anglican Church. Special thanks to
Doctors Gunning and Hall, and the nurses and homemakers of Haldimand-Norfolk

was a well liked and respected member of the engineering community
in which his little stories will be sadly missed. His very sudden
death is entirely to his specifications but his completion date
was far too early. He leaves his family bereft. The family will
