McRAE, William Alfred
Passed away peacefully on November 28, 2006 at St. Catharines General Hospital in St. Catharines at the age of 77. Beloved husband of the late Lynda (GIBBONS) in February 1998. He will be sadly missed by his children Wanda (Willi) BEIFUSS, Wilma (Roger) DUQUETTE, Joanne BENSON (Dave), Ron (Kelly) McRAE and loving friend and companion Cathy Blackstock. He is also survived by grandchildren, Paul (Melissa), Jason (Tricia), Rob (Siew), Sherri (Ken), Curt (Marisa), Jake (Melissa), Amanda, Brandon and Kelsey Leane, Jennifer (Pete and Taylor). Also great-grandchildren which were the love of his life Paul, Emma and Davis. They will all miss Papa Freddie. He is brother to Graham, Janet, Annie and Mickey. Brother-in-law to Donelda, Joyce, Ron, Allan, Pat and Lois. Predeceased by his sister Edna and brother-in-laws Jim, Terry and Geordie. Fred was a retired sea captain of 48 years with Upper Lakes Shipping. He is a member of MacNab Lodge 169 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Port Colborne, where he served as an elder and was very involved with the Friday Morning Club where he has made many good Friends. He was also a volunteer driver for the Canadian Cancer Society, and volunteered for the Food Bank and Santa's Helpers. Fred will be missed by many people at Whispering Pines where he spent many summers for the past 24 years. The McRae family will receive visitors at the Port Colborne Chapel of the Davidson Funeral Homes 135 Clarence St. on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. MacNab Lodge will hold a Masonic Memorial Service on Friday at the funeral home at 7: 00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday December 2, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. with Doctor Jack NEIL officiating. Cremation will follow. Interment will take place at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens at a later date. It is with great sadness, that the family announces the sudden passing of Abe DUPUIS, 84 years, of Petrolia, who passed away at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, on Wednesday, April 12, 2006. Beloved husband of Joan DUPUIS (née WEDER.) Dear father of Brad and Florence DUCZEK of Courtright and their children Craig, Mike and Monica. Dear foster father of Kenneth KNIGHT of Surrey, British Columbia and his children Balbina and Misha. Dear brother of Madeleine REAUME and Paul (1997) of London, Leo and Lil DUPUIS of Petrolia, Jeannette and Tony DUQUETTE of Petrolia, Rita LOBZUN and Norman (1988) of Wheatley, Richard and Marlene DUPUIS of Sarnia, Bernadine JARDINE and Bob (1993) of Petrolia and Marc and Bonnie DUPUIS of Sarnia. Visitors will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia, where the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #216 will hold a memorial service at 6: 45 p.m. and parish prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Philip's Church, Petrolia, on Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 10: 00 a.m. Interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Wyoming. STOLIKER, James Albert
Peacefully at his residence, family and Friends at his side, on Tuesday October 31, 2006, James Albert STOLIKER, age 66 of Dresden, lost his battle with cancer. Cherished and loving husband of Becky (SKINNER) STOLIKER. Born in Chatham in 1940, son of Frances (FORSYTHE) STOLIKER and the late Harold STOLIKER (1968.) Jim worked for many years in the insurance industry and was respected by all for his commitment to those he served. Jim was a member of the the Imperial Club of Chatham and the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge. Caring father of Brent STOLIKER and companion Lisa of Thamesville and Shannon LEGER and friend Eric of Cornwall. Loving grandfather of Colin, Bryce, Tye, Brandon, Alexis and Carley. Dear brother of Kathy PECK and her husband Terry of Lighthouse Cove. Brother-in-law of Brian and Sue SKINNER of Port Lambton, Heidi and George BALOGH of Calgary and Brent SKINNER of Wallaceburg. Son-in-law of Betty SKINNER of Wallaceburg. Jim will be missed by his nieces, Beth, Nicole, Jennifer, Stacey, Samantha, Lauren and his nephews, Matt, Scott, and Rod. He is predeceased by his father-in-law Grant SKINNER (1995.) Jim also leaves behind some very special Friends in Penny WIGLE and Gilbert and Susan DUQUETTE. Peacefully, passed away at the Maple Manor, Tillsonburg, on Thursday, December 28th, 2006, with her family by her side, Alida (VAN DAELE) VAN DE WIELE, formerly of R.R.#1 Courtland at the age of 88 years. Alida was born July 19, 1918 in Wingene, W.F., Belgium, daughter of the late Rene VAN DAELE and the late former Maria POLLEFLIET. Predeceased by her beloved husband Victor VAN DE WIELE (January 3, 1993.) Much loved mother of: Richard VAN DE WIELE and his wife Simonne of R.R.#1 Delhi; Jean and her husband Jerome DONCK of R.R.#1 Courtland; Elaine and her husband Boyd ARMSTRONG of Tillsonburg. Proud and loving grandmother of eight grandchildren: Lynne and Steve DUQUETTE, Joanne and Michael KIMURA, Rick VAN DE WIELE and Marleen, Rose-Anne and Kent McLELLAN; Jerry DONCK and Adele, Jeanine and Rick ASSEL, James DONCK and Jodi and Christopher ARMSTRONG and friend Julia and fifteen great-grandchildren. Survived by two sisters: Suzanne and her husband Walter DEFREYNE of Langton, Vivian and her husband John HAHN of Tillsonburg and nieces, nephews and cousins. Suddenly, on Tuesday, January 10, 2006, John passed away on a Caribbean Cruise while celebrating his 65th birthday with his family. Beloved father of Jennifer BARRY of Toronto, and Jillian BARRY of Whitby. Loving brother of Charleen DUQUETTE and her husband Lorne.
