Passed away peacefully on November 28, 2006 at St. Catharines
General Hospital in St. Catharines at the age of 77. Beloved
husband of the late Lynda
(GIBBONS) in February 1998. He will
be sadly missed by his children Wanda (Willi)

loving friend and companion Cathy Blackstock. He is also survived
by grandchildren, Paul (Melissa), Jason (Tricia), Rob (Siew),
Sherri (Ken), Curt (Marisa), Jake (Melissa), Amanda, Brandon
and Kelsey Leane, Jennifer (Pete and Taylor). Also great-grandchildren
which were the love of his life Paul, Emma and Davis. They will
all miss Papa Freddie. He is brother to Graham, Janet, Annie
and Mickey. Brother-in-law to Donelda, Joyce, Ron, Allan, Pat
and Lois. Predeceased by his sister Edna and brother-in-laws
Jim, Terry and Geordie. Fred was a retired sea captain of 48 years
with Upper Lakes Shipping. He is a member of MacNab Lodge 169
Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons. He was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church in Port Colborne, where he served as an elder
and was very involved with the Friday Morning Club where he has
made many good Friends. He was also a volunteer driver for the
Canadian Cancer Society, and volunteered for the Food Bank and
Santa's Helpers. Fred will be missed by many people at Whispering
Pines where he spent many summers for the past 24 years. The
McRae family will receive visitors at the Port Colborne Chapel
of the Davidson Funeral Homes 135 Clarence St. on Thursday 7-9 p.m.
and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. MacNab Lodge will hold a Masonic Memorial
Service on Friday at the funeral home at 7: 00 p.m. Funeral service
will be held at the First Presbyterian Church on Saturday December 2,
2006 at 11: 00 a.m. with Doctor Jack
NEIL officiating. Cremation
will follow. Interment will take place at Pleasantview Memorial
Gardens at a later date. If so desired, memorial donations may
be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the First Presbyterian
