Marion MacDOUGALL, a resident of Spring Bay, died at her residence on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the age of 80 years. She was born in Halifax County, Nova Scotia, daughter of the late James and Ella (DAVID) SCHMEISSER. In her younger years, Marion was an accomplished baseball player and her efforts were rewarded when she was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame. Throughout her life she had the job of caring for people, from the time she was a young girl, helping with her family and through the years with others who needed her help. She was always ready and able to help when needed. Marion was a professional mother, her family and her home were her life. If you take all the wonderful things a mother can be, Marion was all of those and more. Many wonderful memories will be cherished. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband Stan MacDOUGALL. Loving and loved mother of Jacquelyn and her husband Ivan IREGI of Hamilton; Lynda GRIGULL and partner Cliff LEVESQUE of Sudbury; Gary FITZPATRICK and his wife Dale of Magnetawan; Michael FITZPATRICK and his wife Patricia of Owen Sound; Patricia and her husband Peter SERRANI of Cayuga and Alexander FITZPATRICK (Junior) of Spring Bay. RUNDLE, Ralph Edwin
A man with a zest for living and loving died on February 2, 2006 in his 73rd year. Ralph was a man who lived a life of no regrets and had the strength of heart to honour the values he held close to him: family, honesty and telling it like it is, playfulness and fun, hard work and a job well done, and a dash of outrageous mischief. Ralph was an avid golfer who believed in honest and fair play on the course and in life. His outgoing and fully alive nature made him the life of any party. Ralph was born in Exeter, Ontario to Edgar and Velma RUNDLE (deceased) and moved to London as a young boy. Growing up in London East, he attended Lorne Avenue and H.B. Beal schools and enjoyed playing baseball. He met the love of his life and best friend Doreen (MacKISON) and was married in 1953. As a father, he always let his kids ride high on his shoulders and was their provider, teacher, protector, mentor, adviser, comedian, guide, coach, fan, friend and hero all his life. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife and best friend Doreen and his children: Robin (Rick) Rundle DRAKE, Chris (Jill) RUNDLE, Tracy (Jeff) HAY, and Michelle (Andy) RUNDLE. He was adored by his grandchildren Kyle, Trevor, Jared, Christina, Julia, Tyler, Jesse, Dylan and Taylor, who will be his Honorary pallbearers. Ralph will be missed by his "Gizmo". He leaves behind his beloved siblings: Les (Eve) RUNDLE, Jack (Marlene) RUNDLE, Faye (Peter -- deceased) and dozens of nieces and nephews. SYKES and loved mother of Janet WALTON of Saint Thomas and Judy and her husband Phil BAILEY of Windsor. Dear sister of Howard and his wife Isabelle KEW of Kitchener and the late Audrey MEEK (2002.) Loved grandmother of Melanie DRAKE, Aaron KELLAR, Rebecca and Matthew WALTON and Brandon BAILEY and great-grandmother of Aylssa and Aurille. Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews and cousins. Joan was born in Toronto on November 18th, 1928. She has lived in Saint Thomas since 1995. She was retired after working many years with the Canadian Baptist Ministry in Toronto. Joan was a member of Centre Street Baptist Church and served in numerous committees in the Church. She also was a volunteer with Pastoral Services at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. 65, Hammonds Plains. In the early morning of December 4, 2006, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle slipped peacefully from the arms of his family into the arms of our Lord. He was a son of the late Clarence and Madeline (LECLEAR) NOLAN. Suddenly, on Sunday, October 15, 2006, Ronald Peter BELCOT of Oakville in his 48th year. Beloved son of Joe and the late Jessie BELCOT (née MALARYK) of Smithville. Loving twin brother of Randy BELCOT and his wife Sue of Cambridge, and of Cheryl and her husband Philip DRAKE of Smithville. Much loved uncle of Katelynn, Billy, Darcy and Olivia DRAKE, and Joe and Jill BELCOT. Ron will also be forever remembered and sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins, Friends and colleagues. A graduate of Devry Institute of Technology, Ron attained his EET degree in 1980, and his CSC, CPH, PDO and CTA designations in later years. Ron was the Chief Investment Officer of Counsel Group of Funds Inc. in Mississauga and was responsible for the strategic direction of its investment funds and portfolios, and the management of the portfolio analytics team. DRAKE, William Keith
In loving memory of William "Keith" DRAKE, 81, who passed away suddenly on the morning of Nov 22 at Markham Stouffville Hospital. Keith's memory will always be cherished by his wife Marjorie as a most loving and generous husband, and by his daughters Ann, Mary and Wendy as the best and most loving father. His grandchildren, Tom and Emily MALLIN, Alec and Frances PARRY and William SHIELDS, will always have a place in their hearts for him. He will be sorely missed by his sister Pat, sons-in-law Simon PARRY and Robert SHIELDS. Keith and Marjorie met and fell in love 62 years ago. They travelled extensively and have lived in England, France and Spain as well as Canada. Keith originally came to Canada to train as a pilot, and later returned with his wife and 15 month old daughter. His career in advertising and marketing spanned five decades. He retired from Telemedia in 1993, having previously worked at General Foods in Canada, England and France. Those who knew him well appreciated his dry humour, and yes! he still had that first dollar! Memorial donations to the Parkinsons Society in lieu of flowers would be much appreciated. He was employed by Canadian Pacific Railways until retirement in 1983. Loving father to daughters Cynthia and husband Jamie WATT, Sherry and husband Jason COLEMAN. Loving father to son David and fiancée Natasha ROYAL. Loving grandfather (Pa-Pa) to Margaret, Jacob and Camden. Loving brother to Guy and Betty, Larry and Phyllis, Shirley and Ray DESROCHERS, Sharon and Hans BIGLER, and Roseanne HOWLETT. Predeceased by brothers Roger and Everett, Henry will be missed by his extensive family and many Friends.
