Peacefully at Sunnybrook Veterans' Hospital on 26 June, 2006.
A graduate of Eastern Commerce High School, and forty-four year
employee of the City of Toronto, he retired in 1983 after 19 years
as Commissioner of Parks and Recreation. Ivan served in the Royal
Canadian Air Force from 1942 to 1946 and saw service in western
Canada, the Yukon, and the European theatre. He will be sorely
missed by his beloved wife

The death of Raymond Edmund
SIMMS occurred on February 2, 2006
at Pine Grove Nursing Home, Fredericton, New Brunswick. He was
the husband of Maisie
(MacRAE)
SIMMS.
Raymond was born on March
25, 1918 in New Liskeard, Ontario, to parents Edwin and Mary
(Reynolds)
SIMMS.
His early days were spent in Northern Ontario.
He attended Scollard Hall in North Bay, Ontario, Queen's University
and Osgoode Hall Law School. He served as a lieutenant in World
War 2 Canadian Army Artillery Corps. After the war, Raymond practiced
law in Sudbury, Ontario and later in Toronto, Ontario. On retirement
he returned to his birthplace, revisiting his boyhood haunts,
and doing some travelling both at home and abroad. Later he took
up residence in the Village of Gagetown, New Brunswick and more
recently he moved to Fredericton. Besides his wife, Raymond is
survived by his step-daughter Mary-Jo

Dryw; also by his step-son Wayne (Jean)

KLEIN.
Born in Budapest,
Hungary on October 25, 1927 and passed away peacefully at home
on Friday, April 28, 2006. She was a holocaust survivor who saved
her sister's life when they were escaping during the Nazi period.
She fled Hungary after the Communist occupation eventually settling
in Toronto. Ronnie valiantly endured Parkinson's disease for
36 years and she bravely conquered breast cancer 20 years ago.
