VAVASOUR, Ivor G.
Passed from this life on February 27, 2006, in his 83rd year at Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital. Sadly missed by Barry and Susan MILLER, sister Helen (Ted) BOYLE and nephew Nick DIFABRAZIO and family of N.J. Along with scattered kin and many Friends. Ivor will now join his soul mate Ellenor who predeceased him in 1993. Ivor led an active life as past treasurer of Beaches Lion Club, Royal Canadian Legion 42 and Monarchist League, as well as being the longest serving District Returning Officer in Ontario. Resting at Giffen-Mack "Danforth" Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Ave. (at Main St. subway), visitation begins on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a funeral service on Thursday, March 2nd at 1: 00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Diabetes Association or the Toronto East General Hospital would be appreciated by Ivor.

Surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill, Frank Clayton BALL, Nobleton, in his 71st year, beloved husband for 51 years of Mary Elizabeth (née CHAPMAN). Dear father of Barbara GODDARD (Bob), Susan DIFEBO (Gino,) Valerie BALL, Nancy WOOLDRIDGE (Alan.) Proud grandfather of Adam, Dan, Kyle, Megan, Jared, Josh, Amanda, Emma and Christopher and predeceased by Tyler. Predeceased by his brother Ervin, survived by his brothers Don and Ron and his sisters Sheila, Dorothy, Bev and Dawna. Retired from Air Canada on October 31, 1994 after 35 years of service. The family will receive their Friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) Monday afternoon 2-4 and evening 7-9 o'clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, April 25 at 2 o'clock. Interment Nobleton Community Cemetery. Loving mother of Susan DIFFER and her partner Terry BIRT of Mississauga and Bev and her husband Reg LOVICK of Saskatoon. Lovingly remembered by her four grandchildren; Robert, Andrew, John and Cynthia. Dear sister of Neva LEVERE of New Brunswick. Predeceased by one brother Ian. A celebration of Nicki's life will be conducted from the Downs and son Funeral Home Hepworth Friday afternoon at 1: 00 p.m. with Lieutenant Mary MILLAR officiating. After a courageous battle with cancer, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2006. Thomas, born on March 23, 1932, in Limerick City, Republic of Ireland. Loving husband and best friend of Barbara (née LEONARD.) Loving father of Carol, Tom Jr., Terence and his wife Christina, Kevin and his wife Trish, and Stephen and his wife Christine. Doting Grandpa of Colleen, Jennifer, Sean, Kathleen, Robert, Danielle, Samantha, David, Adam, Matthew, Braydon, and Christopher. Dear brother of Jack (Masie,) Philomena (Denis PUNCH,) Mary (Jim DIFFLEY,) Arthur, Vinnie (Theresa) and sister-in-law Rita. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Olga Mary (née HOLT,) and brothers Willie and Patrick and sisters Florie and Veronica. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. MARYKUCA, William " Bill"
Passed away at the Credit Valley Hospital on February 1, 2006 at the age of 87. William was born in Poplarfield, Manitoba. He was the loving uncle of Kathy (MARYKUCA) DIFIORE and her husband John of Welland. He will be sadly missed by his sister Ann DANISH of Fisher Branch, Manitoba, brother Walter of Winnipeg, Manitoba and several nieces and nephews. William served in the Canadian Armed Forces from 1939 to 1945. He moved to Toronto in 1955 and worked for Canadian Pacific Railway and Canadian Pacific Express until his retirement in 1981. Uncle Bill loved hockey and was a lifelong Toronto Maple Leaf fan. The family will receive Friends at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst St. (near Dundas) on Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Cardinal Funeral Home Chapel, at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Interment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to The War Amps or the Canadian Cancer Society.
