GOODMAN, Sheree Lynne (née FEINSTEIN)
Passed away peacefully after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, June 4, 2006. Survived by her beloved husband Ken, loving daughters Samantha, Katie, Vicki and Heather, cherished mother Marlene DAS NEVES, father Bernard (Bunny) FEINSTEIN and wife Barbara, grandmother Fanny FEINSTEIN, in-laws Tilly and Ken GOODMAN, brother and sister-in-law Todd FEINSTEIN and Jennifer SHULMAN, step-sister Deborah KAPLAN and step-brothers Jamie KAPLAN and Stacy STEINBERG, sister and brothers-in-law Dennis, Valerie, David and MaryLynne GOODMAN, and also her loving nieces and nephews Steven, Jackie, Christopher and Lindsey GOODMAN and Aidan FEINSTEIN. A funeral service will take place at Shaarei Beth El Synagogue, 186 Morrison Rd., Oakville on Wednesday, June 7 at 11: 30 a.m. Interment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. Age 69, peacefully at Saint Marys Memorial Hospital on Monday, February 6th, 2006. Dear husband of Edna (née BORLEY,) loving father of Linda D'ASCANIO, Andrea DE RITA and Allan HILL. Father-in-law to Angelo D'ASCANIO and Mike DE RITA. Survived by his cherished grandchildren Nicholas, Jenna, Noah, Jaclyn and Luca. Also survived by his brother, James, sister Betty, sister Jeanette and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John and Gladys and a sister, Lynne. From an early age John (Jack) demonstrated his love of music and became proficient in several instruments. He was a member of the Toronto Scottish Pipe Band for eight years and played for many bands afterwards, including the Highland Creek Legion Pipe Band, The Perth Regiment R.C.R. Pipe Band, the Saint Marys Pipe Band, the Mocha Temple Shriners Pipe Band, the Mitchell Legion Band and the London Promenade Orchestra. Visitation will be in the Parish Hall of St. James' Anglican Church, Saint Marys, Ontario on Friday, February 10th, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. The Memorial Service will be conducted on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. at St. James' Anglican Church, St. Marys, Ontario with Reverend Dr. Dalice SIM officiating. In memory of John, donations will be gratefully accepted by the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or St. James Anglican Church. Services entrusted to the Andrew L. Went home to her Lord on January 12, 2006, at Victoria Hospital, just 8 days short of her 81st birthday. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Bob (1990). Precious mom to Sharon and Brian MAHON, Heather DRYBURGH and Eddie EBANKS, Dean and Lynn DRYBURGH and Pam and Kevin DASH. Awesome Grandma to Justin, Amy and Nick MAHON, Kathy and Jeff BUELL, Kristy PEARSON and Mike CAIRNS, Jordan, Kim PEARSON, Kristen, Melanie, Heather and Brad DRYBURGH, Sarah, Meredith and Melissa DASH, and Abuk. Survived by her sister Beverly (George) MADILL, and predeceased by her parents James and Jessie PATERSON and her brother Grant PATERSON. Joy was just that, a joy, and we will deeply miss her laughter, her companionship and her prayer for all of us. She was well loved and respected and had a new awareness of that over the last few weeks, which was an incredible gift from God to her before He took her home. TANNER, Benjamin " Ben" F. (1927-2006)
Benjamin F. (Ben) TANNER beloved husband of Barbara, passed away peacefully in his home in Calgary after a short battle with cancer on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at the age of 79 years. Ben was born on June 15, 1927 in Cardston, Alberta. He received a B.A. from the University of British Columbia and received an L.L.B. from the University of Alberta. Ben married Barbara FISHER and moved to Toronto, Ontario where together they raised four children. Ben's greatest passion in life was his love of horses which he shared and enjoyed at his farm in Caledon, Ontario. Besides his loving wife Barbara, Ben is survived by his four children, Connie, Elizabeth, Nathan and Robert; son-in-law Curtis DASHIELL; daughter-in-law Traci TANNER; and by his seven beautiful grandchildren, Merrill, Benjamin, Elizabeth and Christina DASHIELL, Noah Tanner ARMSTRONG, and Kennedy and Haven TANNER. He is also survived by his two sisters, Irene and Ann; brother-in-law Dalt ELTON; as well as by numerous other relatives and Friends. Ben was predeceased by his brother Chester and sister Arlene. Peacefully with her loving family by her side at London Health Sciences Centre-Victoria Hospital, on Monday, July 17, 2006, Lilia Christina PEREIRA of London at the age of 39. Lilia leaves behind her precious true love Luis Henrique DASILVA of whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage together. A truly blessed mother of her two beautiful doves Layla (Boneca) Kristina Pereira DASILVA and Skyla (Gatinho) Luisah Pereira DASILVA. I will be forever proud of my two beautiful angels. Beloved daughter of Jose and Maria PEREIRA, you are truly admired and respected and I will forever love you and be with you always. Also survived by aunt Olivia (Jose) CUNHA, brother-in-law George and sister-in-law Dulce. DASKO, Henry
Died at home, on Saturday, September 16, 2006 with Agata by his side. Henry fought a long and brave battle with cancer, surrounded always by an extended family of Friends all over the world. Born in Lodz in 1947, the child of Holocaust survivors, Henry left Poland in 1968, but Poland never left him. A true intellectual, accomplished in many fields, Henry lived life on his own terms with generosity, humour and panache. Loving father of Nicholas and Daniel. Soul mate of Agata TUSZYNSKA. Services will be held at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin) on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment Community Section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery. Of West Vancouver, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2006, after a courageous battle against cancer. Beloved mother of Avalon, Gavyn and wife of Barry, she was the youngest sister of Josephine, Jean, Kathleen, and Stella. Born in Toronto in 1950, she graduated from York University and went on to become a successful marketing sales executive. Dianne moved to Vancouver with her husband in 1986 to start her family. She was a devoted mother and very active in community fund raising efforts and school P.A.C. activities. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews and Friends. The family wishes to thank the staff and Doctors Scudamore, Klimo, Gimbarzevsky, Horne, and Macffray at St. Pauls and Lions Gate Hospital.
