Of R.R.#1 Springfield, passed away on Friday, April 28, 2006, in his 61st year. Husband of Martha (WIJNNE) NAGELHOUT. Loving father of Andrea VAN DAM and Harry of Stratford, Andries NAGELHOUT and Vera of Springfield, Gerrit NAGELHOUT of Waterloo and Anne Marie NAGELHOUT of Toronto. Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Roxanne, Ryan, Mark, Mike, Linda, Scott and Julie. Dear son of Driesje NAGELHOUT of the Netherlands. Also survived by 2 brothers, 1 sister and several nieces and nephews in the Netherlands. Predeceased by his father Diecemer NAGELHOUT and 2 brothers. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (842-5221) on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. for a Memorial visitation. Cherished father of Carol JOYNT (Chuck) of London, Ken (Julia) FILLMAN of Atlanta, Georgia, Brian (Arly) FILLMAN of Oakville. Dear brother of Peter FILLMAN of Toronto, predeceased by sister Margaret THAENS. Father-in-law of Mary Ann THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON. Also loved by his grandchildren David and Robbie JOYNT, Nicole (Brian) LASSITER, Jessica (Joe) MARMOROSA and Sarah FILLMAN, Mitchell and Matthew FILLMAN, great-granddaughter Julie MARMOROSA. Survived by many nieces and nephews. John was a long standing member of Sunningdale Golf and Country Club. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff for all their wonderful care in the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood Hospital. God called Antonella peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 38, at Sunnybrook and Women's College Hospital. Devoted, and cherished wife of Frank, beloved mother of Lucas and Alexandra. Survived by her parents Giovanni and Anna Maria D'AMBROSIO, and parents-in-law Zefferino and Maria VELTRI. Sister to Arthur, Johnny, Mary (Pat SOLIMINE,) Mina (Andrew STEINWALL.) Sister-in-law of Santo (Carol) VELTRI. She will be held dear in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and many Friends. She was the definition of love, inner strength, generosity, and gratitude. God placed an angel amongst us when he brought Antonella into this world. She will be missed, remembered and cherished by all those whose lives she touched. Surviving is a daughter Marilyn and Kenneth HERMAN of Ruthven, a son Joe and Martha VAN DER PAELT of R.R.#3 Thamesville, grand_sons Ronald and Sarah VAN DER PAELT of Chatham, Jeffrey and Carolyn VAN DER PAELT of Thamesville, and grandaughter Cindy and Dennis DAMPHOUSSE of B.C.. She will be sadly missed by great-grandchildren Brittany, Jeremy, Zachary, Madeline, and Nicholas. Dear sister of Joseph and Ruth VAN ACKER of Michigan, Philip VAN ACKER of North Carolina and Louis and Margaret VAN ACKER of Chatham. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Age 74 of Sarnia, formerly of Dresden passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at his residence. He was born in Dresden son of the late Victor and Jessie (DYCK) BRESETT. He is survived by four daughters: Dianne and Doug MARTIN, Yvonne DAMPHOUSSE, Becky and Dennis PHILLIPS and Beth and Bill BELDER; three sons: Victor and Mary BRESETT, Greg and Teresa BRESETT and Dennis and Brenda BRESETT; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters Norma and Don ANDERSON and Helen BRESETT; two brothers Jim BRESETT and Bob and Carol BRESETT. He is predeceased by his wife Verlane (SHORTT) BRESETT (2004;) two sisters June SWAINSTON and Audrey BREATON. Friends will be received at the Thomas L. After a short illness, at London Health Science Centre, Victoria Hospital, on Wednesday, November 01, 2006, John Jarvis HODSON in his 85th year. John served in the British Army from 1939-1945 as a Gunner with the Royal Artillery in North Africa and Italy. John was an 8th army Veteran, Mentioned in Despatch for Distinguished Service; he emigrated to Canada in 1948. "John was a skilled wood craftsman and masterful storyteller with a specialty in 'shaggy dog' stories. He was admired by all who had the privilege of knowing his generous and gentle spirit." John was predeceased by his beloved wife Bobbe (1998). Cherished father of Chris (Bill) DAMPIER, David (Sandra) HODSON, Shelagh (Keith) BANTOCK, Rob (Susan) HODSON, and Kathryn (Thomas) BLENNERHASSETT. Devoted grandfather of Jeff (Katrina), James (Tess), Kathy (Carlton), Leslie (Jamie), John (Lucy), Scott (Cara), Paul (Lisa), Amy (Chris), Shelby, Ruby, Sam, Harry, Grace, Jack, Sam, and Lily and great-grandfather of Emma, Claire and Dylan. Survived by brother-in-law Kenneth "Jack" SMITH and his children Fred and Philip, and Kendal and Muir PEPPER and their children Adrienne and Quinten. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his precious sister Pamela SMITH (1999.) John was a Life Long Member of the Crumlin Sportsmen's Association and the Carpenter's Union. Died April 30, 2006 at Baycrest Centre in her 83rd year. She was the loving and devoted mother to daughters Debbie FRASER (Doug) and Diana DAMPSY (Ray JONES) and to her grand_son Kevin GEE. The family wishes to thank all her many Friends and the staff at Baycrest for their love and support. A private cremation will take place. Nancy was the daughter of Doctor Alan BROWN, one of the early driving forces behind the Hospital for Sick Children. Passed away peacefully at home October 16th, 2006, with his loving family by his side in his 79th year. Predeceased by his wife Patricia (2002.) Survived by sister Shirley ROWE and brother Terry (Mona) BROOKS. Loving father of Kester (Debby) LAKE, Rodney (Sue) LAKE, Tanya (Glenn) THURSTON, Jack (Katherine) LAKE. Dear step-father of Carol (Bob) APPLEYARD, Bill (Liz) SURGENT, Marilyn (Chris) UCHANSKI, Pat BERTHIAUME, David (Jan) SURGENT, Barb DAMSGARD (Dave SWEETMAN,) Ken SURGENT. Survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Robert retired from Daimler Chrysler after many years of service. He was a former Royal Canadian Air Force Serviceman and Royal Canadian Legion member for 42 years. Cremation has taken place.
