PEARSON, Patrick Norman
Peacefully at his Brighton residence on Tuesday, March 28, 2006. Pat, in his 68th year. Beloved husband of Jan (DICKSON/DIXON) and late wife Jean. Loving father of John PEARSON and partner Carly of Toronto, Dee DAFFERIN and partner John of Welland, Tammy EASTMAN, Jeff GRAY/GREY and wife Elizabeth, all of Oshawa. Dear grandfather of Joshua and Elissa EASTMAN and soon-to-arrive Baby Pearson. Brother of 8 siblings, all of England and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of England. Relatives and Friends may call at McIntosh-Anderson Funeral Home, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, March 31, 2006 from 1: 00 p.m. until time of service in the chapel at 2: 00 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery, Oshawa. LOBSINGER, Doctor Leonard Wendell
On Monday, April 10, 2006. Doctor Leonard Wendell LOBSINGER, age 98 went home to be with his Lord. "Doc" was born in Mildmay, Ontario and practiced Veterinary Medicine in Sarnia from 1939-1980, where he and his partner, Doctor Jim HARVEY, built the Blue Cross Animal Hospital. Beloved husband of 64 years to Jean (REVINGTON.) A wonderful and loving father to Joe LOBSINGER and his wife Anne, Sarnia and Marie and her husband Doctor William DAFOE, Edmonton. Dear grandfather of Stephanie, Karoline, Kristen, Allan and Joanna. Predeceased by granddaughter Heather DAFOE, brothers Luke, Alec, Joseph, John, Raymond, Jack Phillip, Peter, Charles, Pat (Seraphine), sister Amelia and by step brothers and step sisters Frank, Joseph, Margaret, Carrie and Kate. "Doc" LOBSINGER graduated from the University of Guelph in 1934 with an Agriculture Diploma and in 1938 received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree. A special thank you to Marilyn and all of "Doc's" special angels who have cared for him at 291 Davis St. over the past 15 years and for the compassionate care he received in his final days at Trillium Villa. Visitation at the McKenzie and Blundy Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where prayers will be offered at 2: 30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Eugene BUGALA at Saint_Joseph's Church on Monday at 10 a.m.. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Because of "Doc's" love and care for animals, as an expression of sympathy, Friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Sarnia Humane Society, 131 Exmouth St or the Canadian Cancer Society, 714 Lite Street, Pt. Peacefully on Wednesday, May 24, 2006. Dear husband of Jean, loving father of Christine, Margaret, Kathleen and Patricia. Dear brother to Charlotte DAFOE. Predeceased by brother Will SMALL and sister Dorothy COOPER. Sadly missed by sons-in-law Chris GREENSHIELDS, Mark TERRILL and Lloyd HODDER, grandchildren Anna, John and Janice GREENSHIELDS and David TERRILL, his many nephews, nieces and cousins. Career foreign service officer with the Department of Industry, Trade and Commerce and the Department of External Affairs. Former Permanent Representative of Canada to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador to Afghanistan, Ambassador to China, Ambassador to Viet Nam, Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth and High Commissioner to Malaysia and Brunei. Served Canada also as Trade Commissioner in the Netherlands and Hong Kong and following retirement, as Administrator for the Canadian Code of Corporate Conduct in South Africa. Born in Chengtu, China in 1919 to builder missionary Walter SMALL and nurse Lottie SMALL. B.Sc. from the Ontario Agricultural College, B.A. from University College, University of Toronto and honorary LL.D. from University of Guelph. During World War 2, served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 4 years on loan to the Royal Navy in the North Atlantic, the Mediterranean, the Normandy landing and in Australia. Long-time elder at St. David and Saint Martin Presbyterian Church, Ottawa and member of the Board of the Presbyterian World Service. Lifelong sports enthusiast and ambassador on the tennis courts as well as off. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Elizabeth Bruyere Centre from family and Friends. Memorial service at St. David and Saint Martin Presbyterian Church, 444 St. Laurent Blvd, Ottawa, Wednesday, May 31 at 11: 00. In lieu of flowers, donation to your favourite charity.

After a long life passed away peacefully at York Central Hospital on Monday, January 30th, 2006 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her husband John, son Chris and her daughter Vera. Beloved grandmother of Florence (Flavio), John (Kathryn), Paul (Cheryl) and Nick. Cherished great-grandmother of Richard (fiancÚe Paola), Paul, Michael, Melissa, Erin, Natalie and Alexander. Will be sadly missed by her son-in-law Angelo TSAPARIS, many nieces, nephews, Friends and neighbours. Family and Friends may call on Tuesday from 3 to 9 p.m. at the R.S. Peacefully at home on Thursday, March 29, 2006 in her 62nd year. Beloved wife of Christos and loving mother of Jodi. Dear daughter to Evangelos and Dimitra DAFOS. Dear sister to Chrisula (Nick,) George (Vasa), Helen (George) and Tom (Valerie). Donna was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all her relatives and Friends. Family and Friends will be received at the Ogden Funeral Home, 4164 Sheppard Ave. E., Agincourt (east of Kennedy Rd.), on Friday from 4-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3840 Finch Ave. E., on Saturday, April 1 at 10 a.m. Interment Pine Hills Cemetery.
