SCHEEL,
Dorothy
Florence
(KNOTT)
Of Wilson Avenue, Delhi passed away peacefully at the London
H.S.C., Victoria Hospital on Sunday, February 26, 2006 in her
79th year. Dorothy was a loving partner and wife for 62 years.
She was born in Dorchester and married at 17. In childhood, she
is remembered as the one always on the go and 78 years later
it was still challenging to keep up to her. Dorothy was a devoted
and loving mother to Jan and Michael who learned the meaning
of determination, fun and integrity. She was a very proud grandmother
of Abby and Kate, and was always delighted by their visits. To
Dorothy's many dear Friends, her sense of fun and humour, her
loyalty, common sense and honesty were always appreciated. With
her sharp mind, intelligence, keen sense of business and financial
affairs, she and Mike were successful in all they endeavoured.
Her love of life showed up on the dance floor, playing a vigorous
game of cribbage or euchre, creating a beautiful flower garden,
spending a weekend with her sister Audrey, celebrating special
occasions with joy, reading a favourite new book, creating delicious
meals, spending time alone or taking a drive to Port Dover for
a foot long hot dog and some people watching. After retirement
one of Dorothy and Mike's favourite things was to jump into the
car and go for a drive. It didn't matter where or for how long.
But you can be sure it would always be Dorothy in the driver's
seat! Throughout her 78 years, Dorothy touched the lives and
hearts of many. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
