CIARALLO,
Rose "
Rosie"
Peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, at the age of 79 years,
at Runnymede Healthcare Centre, after a long courageous battle
with Multiple Sclerosis. Rosie was born in Toronto and grew up
in the old Italian neighbourhood on Bellwoods Ave., down the
street from her cousins Alvina, Ida and Mary. Predeceased by
her parents Vittoria and Antonio
CIARALLO, sisters Angelina
JANNETTA
and Mary ZEPPA, and brothers John Andrea, Domenic and Sam. Loving
Aunt to Carol, Ricia, Juanita, Bonnie, Ed, Vivian, Vicky, Johnny
and Billy. Rosie started to not feel well at the age of 15 years.
In her early 30's she went blind sitting at work (she regained
her sight). She lined chairs around the room and dragged her
crippled body from chair to chair forcing her legs to work. In
her late 40's she went into her wheelchair. In her late 60's
she had to move to Runnymede. She never complained; she was a
fighter, and would say, Carol, when God gives you lemons, make
lemonade. At Runnymede she sat on various hospital committees,
and participated fully in all activities and loved the parties,
playing bingo, going shopping at the Woodbine Centre, etc., and
was loved by all. Runnymede was her home. Rosie loved to laugh,
tell jokes, and kept up with all the current events listening
to her talk shows on
CFRB.
She loved animals, especially cats
and dogs, and loved feeding the birds and squirrels. Friends
will be received at the Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas St. W.
(one block east of Runnymede Rd.) on Friday, April 7 from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2006
at 10: 30 a.m. at Saint_Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 1701 Bloor
St. W., one block east of Parkside Dr. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
A special thank you to everyone at Runnymede Healthcare Centre
for all your love and care over the years. Rosie was a caring,
honest and kind person who celebrated family, animals and life.
She will be especially missed by her devoted niece Carol
CIARALLO.
Auntie Rosie you are my hero. Walk and Dance with the Angels.
