Dear brother of Cleo HARAKAS (St. Catharines) and Marion KEHAYAS. Dear brother of Cathrina GYSBERS of Ilderton and 2 brothers in Holland and 1 in California. Sadly missed by 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. James was born in Holland on January 27, 1926, the son of the late William and Elizabeth (OOMS) LUYKS. He came to Canada in 1950 and was a retired farmer. He was a member of Holy Angels' Church. James served with the Dutch Army during World War II in Indonesia. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Thursday morning and then to Holy Angels' Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Holy Angels' Cemetery. Dawn passed way knowing that she was much loved by all her family. Predeceased by her husband Jim and sister Susanne. Dawn drew strength from her remaining sisters, Dale (Bubby) BLAIR and Carole LEWIS. She is survived by her four children, Rob DAWSON (Bonna,) Lynda ROWLAND (Scott), Karen LE NOBEL (John) and Brian DAWSON (Nellie) and twelve beloved grandchildren. Through all life's challenges Dawn remained imbued with a love of beauty, a gentleness and a strong sense of spirituality. The loss of her sight was met with grace and determination. Of Stouffville, Ontario, died Tuesday, January 17, 2006, at Markham-Stouffville Hospital. He was born August 15, 1942, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Billy (Papa) was a much-loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He was a painter by trade, most recently working for the Toronto District School Board. Surviving are his wife Margaret son Bill and daughter-in-law Beth Ann KENNY of Beaverton with granddaughter Katie and grand_son Sean; son David and David's partner Anne of Manchester, England with grand_son Ryan; daughter Cathy of Stouffville with granddaughters Caitlin and Sarah; and David's daughter, granddaughter Ashley SOMMERVILLE of Oakville. Others mourning Billy's death include his sister Annie and brother-in-law Billy CAUGHY of Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland and their family his brother Gordon and sister-in-law Gloria of Belfast, Northern Ireland, along with their family; his sister Jean and brother-in-law Victor FARR of Auckland, New Zealand and their family; and Margaret's brother Jim HAMILTON and sister-in-law Norah of Belfast, Northern Ireland and their family.
